We wandered around all day in this traditional market, it was interesting for us to see an offer of sandals from one of the traders we met at a much cheaper price than the usual price, and this trader was selling sandals while selling fruit beside him, usually fruit traders- fruit we are allowed to taste the fruit they sell before we buy it, if it tastes right we can buy it and it is also okay if we cancel the purchase even though we have tasted it.
While we were looking at the sandals we were going to buy, the trader didn't forget to promote the fruit he was selling at low prices, and in the end we bought some fruit after we finished buying the sandals.

So why is a ship this size categorized as historic, because this ship is proof that the tsunami that occurred in Aceh decades ago was truly terrible.
The reason is because with the tsunami event, this 2.600 ton ship which was previously in the ocean is now on land tens of kilometers from the ocean, because this ship was carried by the big tsunami waves from the ocean to the mainland of Banda Aceh.
*So, this time the students' history journey studied the tsunami event in Aceh from the existence of this floating ship which was guided by a local guide who really understood the origins of the tsunami event decades ago. This story is interesting for students who come from outside the Aceh region, they are curious about the Aceh tsunami event which previously they only saw on television news, now they have seen proof of the event directly and listened to the story of the incident in detail from local guides in the area.
*There were around 25 students who took part in this historical tour, and they came from different campuses and also lived in different cities. However, they joined the Indonesian Student organization and then went on a historical trip as a group to various historical places in Aceh.
This floating ship has been inaugurated by the local government, and has also become a historical tourist destination for all tourists who visit Aceh, this place is also categorized as the place most visited by tourists from outside the city and other areas, for visitors who If you want to enter the floating ship messium area, you can do it for free, you don't need to buy a ticket for anyone who wants to enter, it's just that at the gate of this messium there is a charity box, for those of you who want to donate money, you can donate as sincerely as possible, and the money comes from the proceeds. The charity box will be used to maintain the environment in the floating ship's mess area.
The students' visit to this floating ship was very impressive, they received detailed information about the tsunami event in Aceh, a local guide accompanied them to various points where the floating ship's machine was located and explained it in detail to all the students.
They heard many things directly from local tour guides about this floating ship which was one of the most devastating tsunami events in Aceh, they had never heard on television news about this event in such detail before, it was a very impressive trip and became historical research for them. which they will take their knowledge home to their respective campuses and tell other students about it.

During this covid-19 pandemic all of our activities are limited, as well as the organization of this art festival which is constrained by the covid-19 pandemic, so it cannot be held in open places or public places to avoid crowds or crowds of residents. however, the competition organizing committee took another initiative by organizing the competition online or digitally.
As seen in the short video that I uploaded the art studio community from SMP ARON was filming for the competition, the recording was intentionally done at night so that the resulting video looked dim to match the dance theme they were playing. bring it. This dance is an aceh traditional dance, which is a dance created by the collaboration of the aceh rapai musical instrument and the surune kale which is one of the traditional musical instruments for the people of aceh. The combination of the strains of rapai music and surune kale accompanied by the sound of poetry from the vocals of the sheikh of the dance.
This Acehnese creation dance consists of several people demonstrating the dance, and basically this kind of creation dance is demonstrated by a group of men with various roles each. This time I would like to introduce a traditional Acehnese musical instrument, namely "Rapai".
Rapai is a traditional Acehnese percussion instrument that is included in the drum frame family, which is played by being hit by hand without using a stick. Rapai is often used in traditional ceremonies in Aceh such as wedding ceremonies, apostolic circumcision, night market performances, accompanying dances, and also at customary and cultural commemoration moments.
According to a poetry script sung with rapai, this musical instrument came from Syeh Abdul Kadir Jailani, a great fiqh scholar from Persia who lived in Baghdad from 1077 to 1166 AD (470-560 Hijriah).
Rapai was brought by an Islamic broadcaster from Baghdad named Syeh Rapi (some call Syeh Rifai) and was played for the first time in the capital of the Kingdom of Aceh, Banda Khalifak (now Gampong Pandee, Banda Aceh) around the 11th century.
This traditional rapai music instrument is round and looks like a jar and has low walls. And it also has jingles on the walls that are thin like a straight plate and made of copper to make a distinctive sound when it rings.
The frame body of this traditional rapai musical instrument is made of old jackfruit, merbau or fig wood. The shape is like a pot or pan of various sizes, while the bottom part is empty, with a rim or wall called a paloh.
For this sized reach, the membrane or membrane is made of goat skin that has been processed or thinned and smoothed with bamboo. Meanwhile, for reaching the larger size, such as the pase reach, it is made from cowhide.
Rapai uses rattan around the edge of the spread to tighten the spread or the membrane of the reach, and this greatly affects the sound that is generated so that it resonates more. To produce a rattling and crisp sound, a metal plate on the side of the baloh is used as well as a jingle in a tambourine.
This Acehnese traditional musical instrument is played in a sitting position, the left hand holds the body rapai and the right hand hits the skin of the rapai. This Rapai has 3 basic tones, for those who are more skilled usually play it with 4 tones, namely adding a flower note between the 3 basic tones, with the collaboration of the flower tones, the resulting music will be more alive and unique.
If it is hit in the middle of the membrane it will produce a big hum or echo sound, but not sharp (low), and when it is hit on the edge it will get a sharp and loud sound or it can be likened to a drum game being hit with a stick on a rimshot.
