FOXCONN BEV STATUS: The goal of bringing LEX into the Foxconn BEV pivot was to provide two types of expertise - 1.) Automobile Manufacturing Certification & Homologation - how to deal with the red tape of regulation and get a BEV to market. 2.) BEV manufacturing / engineering expertise - Foxconn assembles products and make components - it has no expertise in the design and engineering of a BEV.
Lordstown Ohio is the world HQ for FOXCONN BEV manufacturing. Without LEX (Lordstown Motors) FOXCONN has little or no expertise in the factors mentioned above. It could take FOXCONN two or more years to put together the skill set LEX would provide, and perhaps even longer to get to a production BEV. With LEX FOXCONN could get to BEV Production in 18 months or less depending on the vehicle - that is a commercial BEV for sale to the public. Hard to understand the rationale for FOXCONN balking at this deal, especially when they likely have customers waiting for their CDMS BEV services and have several BEV's including a robo taxi waiting to get into a manufacturing program.
We will have to see of this deal can get done - it would seem to make sense on the face of it for both parties.

So much gaslighting about Lordstown Motors (LEX). The facts show a gigantic TAM opportunity awaits the mass production of the Endurance BEV Pick Up. The OEM's have set up a cartel that imposes wartime rationing and relate price gouging on commercial fleets. The fleets must comply - present trucks are at end of life and must be replaced. These photos were taken days if not hours ago at a trade show. They show the Endurance close up - where you can see the fit & finish - both exterior and interior. Also included the first look I have seen at a bed cap with a solar panel on top. This Endurance is fitted out as a fleet client would - check out the tool accessories in the bed and the additional storage. This is definitely the fleet BEV of the year. Also covered - the specifications presented for the truck by Lordstown Motors including range, payload and so forth. Lordstown Motors (LEX, RIDE) and BlackRock (BLK) have had a short intense relationship which ended badly. One could ascribe pure business / finance reasons for the calamitous end of the relationship, but there are other dynamics as well. You decide; BLK did sink the LEX share price at a critical point in time - That is certainly true - if you put your tinfoil hat on you may ask what is going on here? Hindenburg is a Hedge Fund not fraud investigator looking to save the retail investor from fraudulent public corporations. They and their "client subscribers" actually benefit from the wealth destruction of the retail investor. The economy also suffers from the companies they disrupt with their so called investigations. Their interference, baseless IMO, of Lordstown Motors kept BEV Pick Up Trucks unavailable to the consumer for over two years and has kept the vehicle prices high and out of reach for the average consumer. This has set back the economy and damage the US ability to dominate this product sector. All this for targeting sales projections, that turned out to be absolutely correct, for a product that had never existed before, as lies. Hindenburg was not qualified to make this judgement and presented anecdotal evidence that would never stand up in court. The SEC and DOJ need to take a hard look at this stifling of the competitiveness of the US economy to benefit a small group of wealthy hedge funds. - MXUX

Great work Reuters, but, ah, this story is a year old actually. A recent great review from Coach Concepts of the LMC Endurance BEV Pick Up sent out a ripple that is turning into a tsunami. The reviewer mentioned that Lordstown Motors is presently working on six new models - BEV's - for retail customers - not fleets. I have been talking about the backlog of new vehicles that will be coming out of Foxconn Ohio - I have estimated a possible count of 30 new BEV models from various sources based on either the Endurance or MIH platform. The new partnership agreement (pending IMO - do your own DD) between Foxconn and Lordstown won't happen until the direct foreign investment funding it is approved by CIFS. Based on the now (replaced by the partnership) defunct JV agreement all of the vehicles mentioned here would have been distributed in North America - Canada - US - Mexico - by Lordstown Motors under their brand and by Foxconn Internationally under their brand, with Lordstown paying royalties. Under the defunct JV Lordstown did the engineering / program management BEV development and Foxconn would then take the tailored MIH based vehicle into mass production. I expect this to be the case again. My prior Videos / Podcasts provide a timeline for this - starting 2023 and really ramping in 2024 - anyway that is the felling right now. Lordstown Motors has a problem. For some reason, IMO a sluggish response from the EPA, LMC is couching the range number for the Endurance Battery Electric Pick Up Truck. They are using language like "target" and "about" - essentially anything to avoid saying EPA Certified Range. Remember LMC.1 has an ongoing DOJ and SEC investigation. Although the current executive suite has nothing to do with this issue they are still under lawyer speak rules to avoid running into - yikes - jail time. I make a case here that the Endurance has significantly more range than the base levels of the Ford Lightning - especially in cold weather - ha. Is there a conspiracy here - foot dragging to damage the Endurance run at Truck of the Year? Uh - don't get me started. Anyway we are down to the wire on the Truck of the Year Decision - the only thing missing now is the Endurance Certified Range number - go figure. With a goal of 5% of global BEV market share the LMC / Fox Partnership at the Fox US BEV North American Headquarters is "Moving Fast to gain market share" as per Foxconn's CEO instructions after the purchase of the Lordstown Ohio Facility. Starting in just a few weeks Customer - third party - Commercial ready BEV's will start rolling off the line in Ohio. Absolutely critical in this effort is Lordstown Motors, now a full partner with Foxconn in this plan to enter the global BEV market and stake a claim. FUD is flowing on Lordstown Motors. This video has the facts on U.S. fleet vehicle demand and supply - it is not and will not be met by existing OEM's for years. There is a hole in this market that you could drive a BEV electric pick up truck (like the Endurance) through and Lordstown Motors is in a position to fill that hole. No opinion on this - just reporting the facts here. A series of approximately 1 1/2 to 2 year old videos on Lordstown Motors, the Endurance and the former CEO Steve Burns, and Financial Commentary - all negative - appear to have been just posted by a major media outlet labeled "NEW" and "14 hours old" - labeled perhaps automatically by Youtube itself ? No dates were obvious when one opened the videos as well - the current date seemed to appear only on the comments questioning - "...when was this recorded?" This is all while the BEV 4x4 Lordstown Endurance debuts at the Los Angeles Auto Shown, just before final judging for Truck of the Year - which it is nominated for.... Since this was posted all the videos' status was changed to 'Private" or "Unavailable"

Just in - new relationship between FOX and LMC insures funding for Endurance BEV pick up launch and build. LMC now has more control - FOX agrees to be essentially a silent partner. Lordstown Motors Endurance is THE truck to drive for the judges of the Truck of the Year 2022 award. Journalists walked past Fords and Chevys right up to the Endurance and then waited in line for 30 minutes to get a crack at driving the new BEV E4X4. Funding is an issue with Lordstown Motors - and part of the solution explained here. The Endurance BEV Pick Up Truck is in production and ramping up. Cash on hand - what $200 million give or take. Waiting for the next earnings call on November 8, 2022 for the details...In the meantime this video will explain one potential source of revenue for Lordstown Motors - Bringing the INDIEV ONE to production from the prototype stage it is in now. This involves the MED JV and MIH. I will go through the steps that will lead to revenue - while we wait for the official release of data during the next LMC earnings call.

TSLA downgrades, Fan Boy mutiny, new lows; what is a hodlr to do? In this podcast I go over where I think the TESLA Motor Car Company is at this point in time. For Hodlrs - this is an intermediate view vs short term - let's say up to Q2 2023. I have excluded here the Tesla Bot and Twitter factors as I don't feel they will have impacts in this time frame.

The MIH Electric Vehicle Development LLP between $RIDE and Foxconn spells out a lot of stuff (link to it below) some of that stuff talks about rights and terms to distribute MIH and Endurance based vehicles in the North American and International Markets. Read the agreement yourself and tell me what you think in the comments. IMO it looks like a revenue pipeline is going to start flowing soon to both of the JV partners individually and to the JV and a stand alone entity of which LMC owns 45%. The other vehicles recently announced including the Fisker PEAR and the IDEV among others will generate revenue from the JV Design and Engineering services provided by JV partner LMC IMO. WOW - Lordstown Motor's Endurance E4x4 Pick Up Truck is now in commercial production as of Tuesday September 27, 2022. From now on there are three BEV Pick Up Trucks in production in the U.S.A.: Rivian RT - Ford Lightning and the Lordstown Motors Endurance. The Endurance is going to be delivered to paying fleet customers in Q4 2022. The Endurance is Crash Tested, Certified, EPA Rated and Homologated - it is now for sale to, initially, the U.S. Fleet Market. This vehicle is designed and engineered by Lordstown Motors and Manufactured by FOXCONN under contract. We can expect iPhone level build and technical quality. Once production fully ramps up - according to CEO Hightower Q2 2023. Under the MED JV Agreement between Foxconn and Lordstown Motors Foxconn will have international sales and distribution of the Endurance and Lordstown Motors will have North American sales and distribution rights. This agreement should generate revenue for Lordstown Motors of one kind or another no matter where the Endurance Vehicle is sold worldwide, and no mater the badging or branding.
