The Shovel Life podcast with Johannes Schwarz-Frederickson is a comedy podcast which focuses on the Tree Planting industry. Tree planting is a job where tree planters plant anywhere from 500 - 10,000 + trees in a day. This podcast centers around interviewing tree planters to hear their unique perspective of the tree planting experience. Topics include the hardships tree planters face; as well as the joy and hilarity involved in a chaotic industry.
Kyle Grady is a tree planting crew boss, snowboarder, world traveler and all round hilarious and fun human being. On this last episode we go in deep on UFO's, alien abductions, and use cold hard facts to prove the existence of extraterrestrial life. 2021 is the year of the Aliens, the shovel has left the ground.
Adam Tario is a musician, artist, skateboarder, and all round rad human being living in Peterborough, Ontario. On this episode Adam reflects on his musical career, and we play four of his songs which are all unique and authentic. We also discuss sobriety and give our take the proper way to deal with anxiety. Arthur Buchanan is a 10 year tree planting veteran. He is a free diver, surfer, spear-fisher, and all round athletic legend. One day he will surf Nazare, according to me.
