"A century ago, estimates were that 25 percent of Turkey was Christian. Today it is less than 1 percent. John, in his letters of The Revelation wrote to seven cities in this land. An Answer to Why in Africa
"He was the first black person I had ever met. I was a Canadian teenager and it was Sunday night church: time for the sermon. A tall, poised black preacher stood and began to speak. He had a deep, South African accent and flowing rhetoric, rich in vocabulary. I had never heard such preaching. It was evangelist Nicholas Bhengu from South Africa.."

“Like all of us Jaimie was on a journey, but hers had a complexity we hadn’t been aware of in our ministry before. Jaimie was wrestling with her gender identity. Back then, we were just waking up to the idea that students in our midst might have been struggling with sexual orientation – gender identity or gender dysphoria was not even in our vocabulary.”
“It was three separate incidents over a period of as many weeks that persuaded me swearing is no longer the taboo it once was for Evangelicals. Three distinct gatherings of Christians during which casual profanity presented on the lips of fellow believers.
By casual I mean no one hit their thumb with a hammer or was venting at injustice, pain or rage. No one erupted with expletives in response to anything or anyone. The cussing Christians in question simply nonchalantly used vulgar words. And no one seemed to bat an eye…”
