A killer comet is headed toward earth, the only way to save it's is to drill a hole and put a nuclear device in the comet to blow it into pieces and divert its path! Sounds interesting? Well apparently Hollywood did because they pretty much made the same movie twice in 1998, Deep Impact and Armageddon! Although it wasn't as successful at the box office, Deep Impact is often regarded as the more accurate movie. But just how accurate is the science?

The quiet tiny town of Dante's Peak is in the shadow of a large volcano, and after several years of staying dormant that volcano is threatning to make Dante's Peak quiet forever. This late 1990's action thriller may not be the best movie, but how is the science??
