Meet Mark Rotter. A credit union based lender with an amazing insight into real estate investor solutions.
Here's a snapshot of our conversation:
So, you know, one of the differences in that we see out there, I, I'm going to kind of lift up the covers of the financial institutions today. Nobody. Even credit unions, but particularly banks, nobody ever says, we're not lending today, but there's a lot of lenders behind the scenes who are saying, we're not lending today.
And what they do is they raise the interest rates or tighten the box to make it so they're not lending. And that really comes down to one thing and it, and it's not demand for loans. It's liquidity concerns. You know, and some people put a cover on it like, oh, we're concerned about the marketplace, we're concerned about this.
No, they, they're concerned about their own liquidity.
Listen in and learn friends. A credit union may actually be the local solution you need.

Meet Daniel Blue. He's not just another finance guy in real estate.
Mixed up with the wrong crowd, Daniel found himself hooked on Oxycodone and in bad shape not to long ago.
We talk about having life experience, making mistakes, having some wins, doing good things, being on a losing streak and the fear of the unknown. The fear of what other people are going to think, and eventually having to get past your excuses.
That held Daniel back from being the best person he could have been. That's why he made a lot of bad choices. He knew what he needed to do. He just had excuses that outweighed his commitment.
Daniel specializes in helping entrepreneurs, including realtors, leveraging their investments to invest and buy real estate. He tells the story of a realtor that loses $40,000, ends up giving it to the IRS, because she had bad advice from her financial planner.
Thank you, Daniel for a fantastic and real conversation with me. Appreciate you dude!

Meet John Schuchman. Realtor, Podcaster, Survivor.
John and I dive into job jumping from one W2 job to another and to another and so on...We talk about finding your place in this world, taking risk, being scrappy and building a foundation for success.
His last job, was working at a bank. He was in their management trainee program that they hype up as thousands of people apply. John's soon to be boss noted he was one of the people being picked. He remembers saying to them, you know, there was a point I'd been in retail banking for awhile and got promoted to this program. And they said, we want you to go back and be an assistant branch manager or a branch manager. So John said to himself, you're telling me the best I'm ever going to do is be an assistant branch manager making $50,000 or a branch manager making $60,000 a year? And they said, yes. Two weeks later he lost his job....The conversation in his mind was you're done...time to take control of your life.
Almost 3 years later, John operates out of Lancaster, PA with his family and has built an unbelievable business within 3 years from ZERO. We talk about serving clients, lead generation, social media and leveraging the gifts you HAVE.
I enjoyed this episode with John and love the real, down to earth spirit that just lives within. Thank you, John for a great time and a fantastic conversation!

Meet Barry Karch. Born into real estate, yet fighting for who he wants to be, Barry found his place.
Barry calls himself an introverted realtor. When getting started, his mentor was his father. His father was a very successful real estate agent, using old school salesy methods that Barry felt uncomfortable with. After spending time listening to guys like Brian Buffini, going to seminars, learning, focusing on who he was, Barry figured out how to find his people.
He just had to be his most authentic self. That's it.
Barry and I discuss building your database, lead generation, follow up, marketing and the role people play in our lives.
Listen in to a great conversation with a veteran in the real estate business. Thank you, Barry for a truly great conversation.

Meet Chris Odegard. The Prolific Investor.
Chris was a conventional investor for most of his adult life. If you have read Cashflow Quadrant, Chris was an E, an employee. He was raised in a family of employees.
He asked "What is an entrepreneur?" He didn't know any, he had no interest or desire of being an entrepreneur or a business owner. He had been in corporate america all of his career. And then in 2009, he had what he finally referred to as his illiquidity event, where he lost 55% of his assets through a divorce, and it could have been anything, but in his case, it was a divorce. And coincidentally, around that time, a friend of his said, Hey, you should read this book...
So he bought said book and set it aside for too long. Finally, he picked it up one day and read it. And of course it was Robert Kiyosaki's rich dad, poor dad. So now, his mind was open to all these other things that he didn't grow up with. Different types of investing and real, tangible assets. So he quickly started moving in that direction.
Chris did what's called an in-service transfer of all the 401k matching money that the Boeing company had ever paid in over the decades. He'd worked there and rolled it over into a self-directed IRA. He started, and that was his way of jump starting into real estate.
Chris shares with us his successes, failures and some deep insight into real options to get started.
Listen in friends for a great story of unlearning and relearning with Chris Odegard.

Meet Virginia Corbett. Her start in real estate? 2 kids. No job. No spouse. So let's jump into real estate. HOLY CRAP!
She jumped in with zero backup plan with mouths to feed. Failure was NEVER an option. Virginia believes she was given the opportunity to begin again. With nothing but faith, she started her real estate business.
Virginia breaks it down so clearly - This business is hard, but very easy if you just do what you have to do everyday, no matter what. It's all about the disciplines you create your first year, then maintain. Here is her simple schedule:
Focus on having an amazing day until noon, then afternoon's are what they are. Take the 80% win! There is very little that needs to happen on any deal before noon; stop being reactive.
She notes some keys to her business that she fought at first. Hire an assistant. Build a team. RESULT = 85 deals in 2020 as a SOLO AGENT!
Going into 2021, she had 2 team members. Now in 2022, 21 team members!
Virginia is committed to getting BETTER. She talks about how coaching pays for itself OVER and OVER. Best choice she made, handsdown. She is both a member and a coach at Club Wealth.
The keys to faster success:
Follow that formula for success. Seriously.
Fast forward to today...Virginia will list 100 homes this year and plans to expand her team to support the growth of her company. She is excited to bring in team members, help them grow and impact people while building her business.
Thank you, Virginia for an amazing conversation and showing us how it's done!!!

Meet Zack and Erica Greenberg. From Real Estate to Product creators, these two awesome humans founded SpinTopSIgns and are illuminating Real Estate Signs around the country!
High school sweethearts, Zack and Erica have grown up together learning, failing, growing and got started in real estate just after college. While both have been realtors, Zack had a background in engineering and Erica was crushing real estate sales.
The idea for improved signs came from a conversation with Zack's grandfather, who remembered real estate signs being the same decade after decade. Zack being an engineer, they set out to michaels, bought a robotics kit and started creating a beta sign. After a few versions, Erica started asking if brokerages if they were interested and received positive feedback. Next thing you know, they were in the product development business creating improved signage for realtors! SO, they started a sign installation business installing their hand built signs!
Word got out, social media took over and they started getting inquiries to buy these in other states. It was time to get serious, so a shippable product was created. Friends, this is an innovative product that is helping market properties better and different than others. If you want to STAND OUT, start doing something different using a sign that no one else is using.
This is not just a sign, this is a branding tool and a revenue stream for your real estate business.
Zack and Erica are still active in real estate, managing this product, have kids and Zack has a full time engineering job. Congratulations you two for getting this far and keeping momentum!
As a product creator myself for the last 30 years, I am a believer in this product and have opted in to be an affiliate with Zack and Erica to help promote this product. If you want to support Zack and Erica, along with me 🙏, buy yours here: www.SpinTopSigns.com.
Thank you, Zack and Erica for sharing your story and walking us through your journey! Keep innovating!!!

Meet Jennifer Seeno Tucker. She is not just an agent. She’s a Home Schooler, Author and Entrepreneur. Mostly, an inspiring person.
With a career in teaching, but driven by a truly entrepreneurial spirit, Jennifer knew she was destined for more. She hated having a "BOSS" as a teacher. Someone always setting boundaries...

Real Estate rebuilt her life. It wasn’t easy, but she did it and created an unbelievable life for herself and her family as she progressed through the stages of rebuilding.
Listen in and go deep with us as we talk about her journey to building a business that could provide, developing routines, schedule blocking, learning who you really want to work with and the path self discovery.

Meet Cami Baker. Tenacious and fearless in her path to fund non-profits through real estate. She founded The Real Agents of Change, an organization dedicated to funding non-profits through charitable real estate.
Entrepreneurial by nature, Cami found herself beginning again as a single mom at a young age. Newly sober, an opportunity fell into her lap to take a job with a successful realtor. She worked as an assistant for about 18 months, got licensed and started crushing it alongside her mentor.
Cami has been a hustler from a young age. With a big commission check in hand as she was building, she bought her dream car. A 1964-1/2 Ford Mustang. She turned this into a rolling billboard, entered car shows and created a networking tool to leverage.
Cami learned by watching her mentor, Steve invest in himself. Learning, coaching, paying for growth with someone who knows more than you. As she grew her real estate business, she organically pivoted when she learned about charitable real estate at a conference. She dove into this and built a business that not only makes an impact, but is a force behind millions of dollars being given to charities.
The RAOC (real agents of change) is making a serious impact. Cami has worked tirelessly to design, create and build a system to educate agents and enroll them into another revenue stream for themselves. This is a game changer for your business and gives you a different conversation to have within your community.
Listen in friends. Cami has a lot to say, an amazing growth mindset and has created something incredible.
Thank you, Cami for an incredible conversation and doing what you do 🙏❤️

Meet Drew Denham. Drew finds himself constantly asking the question "How can I be the best version of myself?". Friends, this episode drops some serious knowledge!!!
Drew started investing in 2011, only to find himself becoming a Real Estate Agent several years later. He loved the flexibility and the ability to design your life around a business.
Based in Grand Rapids, MI he found himself focusing on communication as a key asset to building his business. Why? Well...Drew has a background in network marketing, He spent 10 years with Amway building relationships that matter. The compound effect of that is no joke friends. Over 50% of his business comes from these relationships. This AMAZING SOI Drew invested in over 10+ years pays dividends today.
Drew and I talk about beginning again, really making the decision to design your life and what it takes to commit to that. He started asking himself some really hard questions. Questions like "What legacy do I want to leave? What does success really look like for me? How do I want to live?". These questions drove curiosity as Drew recovered from a painful year in 2020 with a mountain of challenges.
Reading seriously changed the direction of Drew's life. He went from 2-3 books a year to 60! Drew swears by Hal Elrod's book The Miracle Morning ( I am also a huge fan of this book!). Start by bringing intention into your morning and watch your life transform over time.
Drew and I dive into how all of this has allowed him to "Schedule his business" and have systems in place for discipline and consistency. It's been a game changer for him and has allowed him to leverage his strengths to attract the clientele he wants to serve.
Some important questions from Drew:
Thank you, Drew for an incredible conversation with us. So many great nuggets in here. 🙏

Meet Matt Wagner. Radio and TV EXPERT. If you want success, you have to be found. It's that simple. Matt shares how you have to be READY for the business. If business just turns on and you are NOT ready, you will fail.
Let's start with a basic Google search. That is the first thing people will do, GOOGLE you. Play the consumer, nobody writes things down these days. You get GOOGLED. Imagine this, you hear a radio ad, you remember the name "ABC Real Estate Agent", you google that and get results. But the results are weak. No google profile, no call to action, no reviews...get the message???
Your digital footprint matters more today than anything relative to media and the results returned when SEARCHED. Your job is to return results. Control the gasoline on the fire as Matt says. Leverage the Google My Business product with Google and be consistent.
Be SEEN and GET found FIRST, then set the fire to traffic to yourself. There is a process in place for success. Use it.
Matt and I dive into media use, branding, the power of Google, the power of YOU and YOUR angle to marketing, how to leverage the tools in today's world and so much more. Listen in for GOLD with Matt, take some notes and start implementing these strategies TODAY. Be a better marketer, starting TODAY.

Meet Nick McLean. Commercial airline pilot to real estate agent. His journey started in March 2008 out of necessity and he’s built an incredible business out of survival.
Nick found himself backed in a corner after his first year in real estate. With one transaction under his belt, starting a new career in real estate in 2009 during a housing crisis and having to make the decision to take the bus or spend his cash on gas driving a car. This was an important decision for him as his success depended on it. He could survive a month paying for gas or 4 months on the bus…
The next 12 months, Nick closed 12 transactions by embracing personal development and committing to sales. The third year, he hit 32 transactions! What did he do different? Nothing, he was just getting better by being consistent and showing up every single day.
Nick attributes his success to the Marshmello test. The longer you can hold out, the more successful you’ll be. You will and need to survive. This is the only difference between real estate agents that fail vs. thrive, it’s deciding to survive. If you have not heard of the Marshmello test, google it.
We discuss taking small steps to go big, procrastinating, being disciplined, having tiny habits, staying in survival mode to propel you forward and making things you need to do simpler.
Nick explains the hidden power of staying calm when prospecting and saving your energy for when you NEED it. Here’s the example: while Prospecting, 85% of your time you are NOT on the phone or in front of people. Knowing this, work on staying calm and leverage your power for when your actually in the moment. If your saying to yourself, what is he talking about??? Listen in and Nick will walk us through it.
Focus on the process, not the result. I’m not spoiling this wisdom here! Listen in for why. It’s super powerful. 💪
Thank you, Nick for an awesome conversation. 😊👊

Meet Matthew Ablakan. Matthew asked a simple question in his teenage years: "How do people survive with a $30,000.00 a year income?". He realized as he unpacked this question, you cannot LIVE off this income. With zero financial support, he started learning about the different vehicles to build wealth.
After a deep dive into various options, he started to focus on real estate and has never looked back. His first investment was a pre-construction project. A simple concept is what made the decision for him. It was this: "Landlords make money while they sleep". That was his lightbulb moment! 10 years later, he has built an incredible portfolio of properties for himself and his family!
Using his experience watching his parents build their convenience store, he was exposed to all sorts of real life scenarios in business. Sales, marketing, inventory, accounting and so much more. He decided he will learn as he built, stayed focused on building a cash machine and Matthew has built an amazing business for himself.
Matthew and I take a journey down how his parents migrated to Canada, the emotional connection to material things, making new choices and taking risk to build a better future for yourself. Sometimes you have to make choices against the grain to drive you forward.
We dive deep into personal development, becoming the best version of yourself, asking hard questions of yourself, developing your mindset, putting in the daily work to compound over time and SO MUCH MORE!!!
His business is very unique in the way that he has setup real estate, mortgage and insurance services all within his four walls. He is vertically integrated and can service his clients needs in house. He and his team have created an amazing brand and created a one-stop shop!

Jim dropped out of college at 19, took his first listing 60 miles away and had zero listings the first 6 months. However, he went from 0 - 150 the 6 months following! He attributes his success to pure dedication of self improvement and dedication to one hour of lead generation a day.
He created a mantra for lead generation. 1 hour of lead gen, 1 appointment a day, going on 1 appointment a day and adding 1 person to your SOI every day. If you do this EVERYDAY, you will crush it. Period. The question is, CAN you actually do this every, single, day...?

Meet Mindi Huebner. Master Mindset & Strategy Coach.
"Your brain deletes, distorts & generalizes based on what you believe, your THOUGHTS."
We are going to unpack a lot in this episode. If you are struggling, frustrated, need to start over or just want to GROW...this episode is for you. I urge you to listen to this at least twice and REALLY take in what Mindi has to say.
The quality of your life is determined by the quality of your questions. We dive into mental rehearsal, taking inspired, aligned action, understanding the key elements to gauge your progress, knowing you always have a choice and SO much more!
Mindi explains WHY how you FEEL is the key to your success and your roadmap to the future you WANT! We go into real life examples in real estate and how it becomes REAL.
We discuss "of course energy" and using it to empower yourself, build your identity and create the future you are visualizing. We cover the question "What do I want?", then we dive into how to take action, checking the data and most importantly, being willing to change.
You can live in cause, or you can live in effect. Being at cause means you are the creator of your life, it means you take responsibility for what is working and what is not working in your personal universe. Being in effect means that what happens or doesn't happen in your life is the result of other people, events, and circumstances. It's your choice.
Start asking different questions. Maybe, "Does this thought serve me?"
Listen and learn, friends. Thank YOU Mindi, for an absolutely amazing conversation. I can't wait to do it again!

Amy Scruggs. Real Estate professional. Singer. Songwriter. TV show host. Media coach. Author. The list goes on for Amy…
Amy recently released a book, "LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION", Media Coaching for Any Professional in Today's Digital World, Amy wrote this book, as a way to help her clients become more confident in front of the camera. After interviewing hundreds of professionals on her various TV shows, she realized that most people have great anxiety whenever the camera turns on and would "freeze up" during filming. She began "coaching" her guests before the camera went on and taught them her secrets to overcoming their public speaking fears. This was so successful that she wrote a book sharing these same tips and techniques.
Today, Amy uses these same skills to coach corporate clients, business professionals and entrepreneurs, and is considered one of the Top Media Coaches in her field. Her Media Coaching Course for Executives is so successful that she created the on-line version of her private training into a web based training course called "Media Training for Professionals".
