It was a difficult decision to attend the HBC event at Krakow. I had 2 large meetings coming up- one regarding Ukrainian refugees in the city, and another one working up towards a personal goal.
I went back and forth with the idea, but since the announcement, my heart kept telling me to go.
I could not miss going to @krolestwo. KBK has a special place in my heart and the meet up with so many Hivers would be an icing on the top. So I managed to push my meetings and took the best tickets I could get.
The journey started with a train ride from Almere to the Schiphol airport. The airport is notorious for being busy so the decision was made to go extremely early, not to mention all the delays going with the trains.
From there it was a waiting and tiring game of gates and flights.
I could hardly catch up with sleep. I was tired but excited. In the back of my head I kept asking myself how would I feel...
Last time I was at Krakow, and KBK, my heart, mind, and soul were in a much different place than it is now. All the memories and feelings kept running back to me, the not nice ones. It sort of made me appreciate all that I have done since.
But as soon as I stepped on to Krakow, it was incredible. A huge smile came on to my face and I couldn't stop chanting "we're going to kbk! we're going to kbk!"
I took Kumar's cab and reached the popular yard front of KBK. The place where we stood and protested facing the Russian council. The place that has been now named to show support Ukraine. The curve of the road where I walked with Dawid to get my haircut. The road I walked on to take books to KBK to add to their library. All the big and small things that made this place special came back to me. It was incredible.
I could not remember the code to the outside gate of the KBK building, so in KBK fashion I peeped through the windows of the kingdom and shouted out for someone to hear me haha
Once inside, a whole day before the hivebeecon, I took a tour of the recently remodeled Kingdom, went through the cupboard and sat in the seats I had a year and half back, visited the museum inside the kingdom.
And then more familiar faces appeared. I met Gregory and @helicoptermoney aka @lpa. People who are so dear to me. Met jostyna, and finally we got some horrid sushi for dinner.
We played novuss and Natalia's son destroyed the wooden block tower. I wished I could have met everyone else, but life has done it's thing - people are busy.
From there on, I was only looking forward to the HiveBeeCon meet. Another exciting day!

The HIVE blockchain has made this possible. Not an investor, not an NGO, not a VC, but the hive blockchain in its entirety.
11 boreholes at the time of making this post. Each just as significant as the next. Mcsamm answered the burning question in a 20 minutes presentation followed by a short Q&A sesh.

In my hunt to find ways to reach the minimum requirement of C1(academic) level Dutch language proficiency, I have found numerous tactics. Some are genuinely practical and useful, whereas some "language gurus" may as well be talking from the wrong end of their GIT system. However, as dead brained this tip I concocted is, it is still a braindead easy way to pick up a new language. I took inspiration from many, and this video is inspired by many of the brain dead absolutely useless "gurus". Nevertheless, time, practice, reason and immersion are genuinely the most sincere foundations of learning a language. Take it lightheartedly. A laugh and some smiles never hurt.

No act of kindness, no matter how small, is never wasted - Aesop
I try to explain this to everyone and it often flies over heads. But, every act of kindness, no matter how small it may seem to the giver, is worth much more than they can imagine to the recipient. We all have something we can do to make the world a little more full of kindness and spread maybe just one more smile. It was a total surprise to me when @rubencress invited me to meet him and put forward his hand in trying to help in my situation. I had only learned about Ruben and became an instant fan of his work. I was a little hesitant at first guven his busy schedule and many other things. But Ruben was kind enough to make it all happen. It was a painful journey haha. Almost 3 hours to get to him after trains cancelling, trying to limp my way on to the trains on time and basically all the confusion that comes with going to a completely new place. On the way back, the train was cancelled, too. Thankfully, I found the last trains and busses to get back to my place.
It was a beautiful journey, as you can see in the video. Meeting Ruben and learning about him was even better. Ruben was kind to donate 3 medical grade insoles for Ukrainians which I was able to giveaway the very next day and a couple of portraits that could go to my LinkedIn and resumes. What was supposed to be a short trip turned into so many hours that we lost track of time. Also, had some yummy fries and chicken with a splendid tour of his city!
I learned so much about his lifestyle, the person he is, how he works his magic on his photography and turns them from mere images to exquisite art. Also got to see some exclusive before and after of his photos from HiveFest.
His mindset is incredible and there was so much I learned from him. Thank you for letting me into your house and your life, Ruben. Most importantly I came back with a whole new perspective on my own situation and a refuelled motivation to keep helping my fellow Ukrainians inspired solely by Ruben.

The Floriade in Almere has come to an end. Waiting another 10 years seemed a bit too excessive and the final day of the event evidently dragged in a lot of people - including myself.
The beautiful sunny weather, the refreshing smell of the flowers, and the brilliant colors brought an exceptional end to the 6 months long Floriade.
The main attraction was the cable car. A quick ride over the entire space of Floriade from which you can overlook the beautiful design of the place and also go over a highway. I especially loved the exclusive point of view of the waters from so high above.
On the day before closing a concert was put in place for the visitors where most spent their time. The cable car attraction was just as crowded as one would expect. I waited for about 20 minutes in queue. There was also a slight break because of technical problems that was resolved rather quickly.
The view from the cable car was incredible and oh so serene. Worth waiting every long minute. If the queue wasnt as long I'd have gone for a second ride.
The floriade happens only every decade. All the beautiful creations of the expo will soon be gone or sold off - pretty happy to have a unique look of the expo in my storage.

Remember our friend Ivan? There's a good reason to be happy for him. This wasn't the final visit to the hospital, but it sure was the greatest thing to happen to him. He has been waiting for this news for many years now. Even when translating I was flabbergasted and both he and I could not believe it was true. Ivan has been selected for a life changing surgery.
I have become his official contact person. So far have had chats with the anesthesiologist and surgeon and was able to relay all the information to our friend Ivan. The surgery is not simple and the rehabilitation program is quite lengthy. There are plenty of risks involved too. But it is still the best thing that has happened to Ivan. I'm so happy for him and it gives me purpose to help even more.

I now have 3 more Ukrainian refugees who have decided to join me in learning the Dutch language. That is awesome. Languages take practice and persistence. The more beginner level learners I have along with me, the more can we excel in learning the language and together (and only together) can we reach a level of language proficiency where we can add value to the local community. Granted, I am not at a pace that I'd love to be. I need to pick up the langauge in a professional level if I ever want to practice medicine here. Nevertheless, it is a start. In the last few days I have picked up a little and now I am slowly going back to the days where I learned Russian by listening more than anything. Now that I have a very basic grasp of the language, I can start picking up words and pronunciations from the local people. Today, I also found a few more links that could help me find a job. I am tired of doing nothing. There is no clear end to this war (although I hope it is real soon) and I simply cannot sit and wait till it ends. Here is to more productive days!My desire to work with other refugees and people in need of help is growing by the day. If I have the DUtch language in my arsenal along with all the other languages I know, plus my medical profession, I think I can find a good opportunity to work with other people in need for help.

The last month has been pretty loaded. As much as I want it to be, it isn't the easiest here...or anywehere when you are a refugee. So far I have a roof over my head and food in my belly. And hopefully the coming 30 days are more fruitful. Netherlands has been nothing less than kind and compassionate to all of us. Putting so much into making sure all Ukrainians can find a safe place to seek refuge in the country. Dawid's and Lorenzo's voice is echoing in my head - they did tell me I should stay in Krakow and try for a little longer. Now I am rethinking my choices. I apologize for the quality. Hoping I can buy a memory card soon and get back to recording on my phone. For now enjoy the 2010 vlog vibes.

It has been just over 2 months since the invasion started. Life isn't getting better for either those still inside Ukraine or those who have gotten out and sought refuge in the neighboring countries. Normal does not exist anymore. The future is very scary. The fear of the unknown is very loud. Here in this video, I share some recent news about some personal losses, about the life here as a refugee, things some of us are facing mentally, about the things we have received, and also about how I am feeling two months after the invasion. Excuse me for how rough and unpolished my thoughts are, but it is difficult to talk about almost anything when your mind is not in the right place. Writing is much easier because I can my time and proof read everything 10 times, but on video, which feels more intimate and personal, it is very difficult to express my thoughts. I have been pushing myself to make a video for a very long time. But I could not bring myself to do it until now and it still took me a few tries to make a whole video. I must say that I am very thankful for all the people around the world who are helping the refugees and the people still in Ukraine in any way they can. I realize that people can get "used" to the war and slowly lose interest in helping those who are in need. And even then we all will be thankful for all that they have done for us. Most of my friends are scattered all around Europe. Some of my colleagues are in the western part of Ukraine, I have since made new friends with my fellow refugees. Everyday is yet another struggle. Everyday someone is losing contact with someone else or simply losing someone forever. Moreover, it is very difficult to start over. The recent attacks show that Russia has no interest in peace and it makes our futures evern more uncertain and scary.

In this video I show you the inspiration behind this design and the entire process from draft to finish.
I used Adobe Photoshop CS6 to design the stamp logo and then used Filmora to animate the design. The design evolved in differnt ways as I kept improving the draft.
I had the same idea, as before, to use suggestive design for both attraction and defining the game. Unlike the last logo, I used weapons of different myths and eras along with the designs instead of characters. I think it leaves more open interpretation on the table and does not constrict me to find designs that will exactly fit the characters of the game.
Here, I used the same idea of podiums to suggest competitveness and challenge. I integrated it into the elipse of the logo along with what looked to me like a "difficulty meter". All the elements are unique in the logo and designed with my individualistic touch.
I am a huge fan of vectors and invisible backgrounds and I love how flexibly they can be used. So naturally, this logo is also as such. I have also created different versions with varying backgrounds to see how the logo looks like against different colors.
The text as a simple warp effect and can be added or placed independently. Most games nowadays use "mascots" instead of trying to identify themselves with the names directly, so I created an arc for the text to sit on with a "script-like" font so it fits the theme.

It is now day 2 of my snowboarding journey. I have had a lot of time thinking about how to go about all of it. Thankfully my professional lessons begin in a few days. It will be a huge upgrade and I believe I will be learning at a faster rate and properly. In this video you can see the first few "sucessful" attempts I had with skating and sliding. Videoing the progress is going to be super helpful. I did the same when I was learning breakdancing and it really helped finding and picking out mistakes. Back then we did not have good cameras. It was a blackberry, if I remember correctly. But the passion was there and the small thumbnail sized videos were more than enough for me and my friends to work on our posture and moves. I think I will continue video taping my progress since these videos are helping me understand things I want to improve. At first I thought my posture was fine since I had practiced it a lot but as I ran through the video I realized I was sliding bottom heavy. I think my "pointing" is correct, but I need to work on my knees and hips. My hips are pushed a bit too far back but the depth seems fine. Also, after a couple of hours of repeting the same move over and over again I had gotten much better at it. I was already too tired to have a video recorded and a bit too excited with my progress. By the end of my practice I did walk all the way over to the other ski spot where I tried my luck at a much rougher and steeper slope. So far so good. I like my progress. Now looking forward to the professional lessons. It is going to be a game changer for me. I am really excited and the feeling of being this passionate about a new skill is very refreshing.

Tomorrow is monday, and that means the slope will be much vancant compared to weekends. I bombed my first attempt, but it has got me only more excited to learn this new skill. Granted I have never experienced something like this sorts, not even skateboarded, so everything about it is super new to me. From the very first second I descended the main slope I fell in love. It is very clear to me why my cousins in the west always disappear during the weekends with their skiing gear. I am a little biased towards snowboarding than skiing, althought I have heard that skiing is so much easier. So tomorrow, if all is well, I will be at the slopes again!
Only this time I have done some research and I have been practicing the "stance" ( the one with the beach ball between the legs and the invisible chair) a lot! The plan is to explore the slopes and find something mellow to get myself going. If all goes well and I see some progress within the first few hours then I'll continue learning myself. Also, I have to be super careful to not get any new injuries. My shoulder has not yet completely recovered but my fingers and thighs feel fine. If I dont see any progress, I am going to hire an instructor and learn snowboarding. See you!d

They always say you have to push to acheive your dreams. But they never said how much pushing, did they? More often then not, I try to look for a revelation which shows if I am pushing enough. Yes, finding yourself at the goalpost might be a good indicator, but how do you know you are on your way to it. Ah, dreams. What a mystical world it is. To date there isnt a clear scientific concensus of what dreams are and decyphering them has been a rougher terrrain in terms of concensus.
Its not a mystery. Your personal dreams or goals are much different than actual noctural dreams. However, they are called dreams because they can sometimes seem just as mystical and unacheivable.
But what happens when you start seeing your dreams in your dreams?
I mean, your goals in your noctural dreams?
Why does it happen? What do they mean?
I have been asking this question to myself since I was a kid. At that time I used to dream about a game that I played on an amateur-tournament level. I used to see it so often and never figured out why. As I grew up and my responsibilites became bigger and bigger, the dreams followed. Now they are just as heavy and relevant to the current responsibilites and aspirations.
I find these dreams only happen when I am very obsessed with acheiving somehting. Think of a goal that you are very determined to acheive that it turns passionate and personal. Whenever I have such a goal I start dreaming about them. Often more than not, I try to go into the realm of lucid dreaming with it. I have had very poor results, but I have been succesful sometimes. The reason is simple, it is the only place where I can try things out. Have you had lucid dreams? Do you actively try to get into a state of lucid dreaming? What do you do there?
It is a very interesing occurance. However, I cannot find a better explanation. I only dream of my aspirations when I am very inclined towards pursuing them successfully. When there is something that I am not very passionate about, I do not dream of it.
I did a little digging about this on the internet and turns out I am not alone.
Maybe it is right to say "if you arent dreaming about your dreams, then you arent passionate enough to dream it".

In this tutorial you will learn how to peal the prepacked screen guard and apply the orginal surface protector to the xp-pen deco 01 v2 Graphic Drawing Tablet.
The surface protector comes along with the original set of items in the box itself.
The protector itself is 0.25 mm thin, so it is very susceptible to easy bending and folds that will remain on it permanently. If you have misplaced or damaged the original surface protector, you can easily purchase a pack of 2 from amazon. The pack of 2 is very cheap. The protector itself has only one point of adhesion. This point has to be attached to the top of your graphic drawing tablet. Before application make sure the adhesive is clean and free of debris.
If it is the first time, make sure you remove the original surface protector so that there is better contact from the pen and overall a better reading on the tablet.
Due to the single point of adhesion, you can easily remove and replace the surface protector of the graphics drawing tablet multiple times.

If you are thinking of Nike, Adidas, Puma, or whatever, you should think again. This specific shoes has been on the top list of multiple online forums and has been spoken about for a long time. I am very surprised that the shoe has not gone out of stock yet. I have a vague idea why the stocks haven't been devoured yet. One, mostly because this brand isn't the most hyped sneaker brand. Two, it is made for a specific purpose and integrating it with street fashion has risen to be a challenge.
I have been rocking my Adidas Ozweego 1 "Legacy Bliss Night Cargo" for almost a year now and it has been an incredible shoe. It is still retailing for around $100-$110 and it is a total steal for the amount of comfort it has. I honestly thought there would be no other shoe that would come even close to how comfortable it is. However, I stand corrected.
For a similar price range, you can now get your hands on one of the most publicly acknowledged comfortable sneaker. For just $150. If you were to buy it in Ukraine you would get it for cheaper. (I am kinda mad that I didnt catch the sale or else I would have bought two pairs for the price of one.).
I have had a collection of sneakers now, including a custom joint I had gotten done from Turkey. Including all the big sneaker brands and the Turkish custom shoes, there was nothing that came to this sneaker I am reviewing in the video.
The best colorway is currently being traded in Stockx for $360. And I still think its a very good investment for your feet.

Did the word "arcade" make you feel nostalgic?
I usually left the machine on free play for most of the day. I only left it at 5:5 when there were naughty gamers around or if the crowd was too big to let everyone have a go at it.
Almost all arcades have the same system so which ever arcade you have or plan on having must have the same settings.
You can buy a similar arcade like the one I showed in the video with the classics like tekken, street fighter, mortal kom at, pacman, fogger etc etc for about $350-$600 online.
This one cost us roughly about $700 along with the custom rig and stand as well as the shipping costs and insurances. If you are buying this in the US then it should be way cheaper.
Depending on the make, games, quality, copyrights and so on, an arcade can cost anywhere from $300 to over $1100. But whatever you do, buy it from someone you can be in contact with.
One more thing to remember is that most of the rigs/cases come with a tubular pin tumbler lock. Make sure you get it from the previous owner/maker.
In any case you can purchase these keys for about $2 online. Still, it's better to have the key from the get go.
So yeah, you can change the settings on your machine to follow any rule. For house party or challenges it's good to go with 1:1 and for random fun the best option is "free play".
You do not have to unplug the "menu" button, but it's best kept unplugged and the case kept locked to avoid others from fidgeting with your system.

League of Legends has been long scrutinized for its uncanniness to DOTA2. It has long since changed its style and shifted away from that comparison.
One of the biggest obvious changes was the length of each match.
In the previous year, LOL has pushed towards making match lengths even shorter. I think the new dragons push this narrative further.
In this video, I go through the 2 new dragons, HEXTECH and CHEMTECH, that have been added to the game in the preseason.
The dragons have unique buffs and their souls add new features to the map and the champions.
The hextech dragon amplifies the champions' attack speed and ability haste by 5% and 5 respectively. At 4 dragons, that means 20% and 20. This is massive since it can overpower the dragon slayers by a lot.
It also adds portals to the map in the jungle at 4 points. This will significantly reduce travel time and create for insane jukes and catching up. Think of it as Bard's E, but on steroids.
The Chemtech dragon does 5% bonus damage to tankier enemies. This is very strong against comps that are based around tanks.
In the past, the game has been under a lot of pressure due to how strong tanks can be. Tanks have significantly ruined the gaming experience. With this dragon, it will be a good balancing feature and a powerful way to counter tanks.
The soul gives all the slayers a SIon passive buff. Everyone can revive for a short time after dying.
I think the new dragons are very important. Especially their souls. The souls can turn the tide of the game. It makes dragon fights and dragon control so much more important. Which in turn makes the game shorter because there is so much extra gold to earn from these fights.

If 3 years back you would tell me that our getaway would be in an empty field with round haybails I would probably never talk to you again. But then again, this is maybe a sign of change. A change within myself. Somehow I have started to appreciate the serenity of emptiness and the healing effects of a long drive to a wheat field.
The best about taking these long drives is seing and understanding the change in lifestyle. One moment you are surrounded by the latest cars and a plethora of signboard ads that obstruct the moon. Another moment you are surrounded by nothing but trees and clear blue skies. It becomes evident that I have left my comfort zone when we drive into areas where the only concrete structures are a breaking down bus stop where the buses almost never pass by and a gas station which may or may not have a toilet.
This was almost a 2 hours drive. We took turns at the wheel on the way back. The craziest thing is one of my friends live around here and she travels every week from this suburb to the city to take German classes.
The place is almost like a different planet. The people have different attitudes and the lifestyle feels very...free!
We were on the field for about an hour when one of the workers approached us and asked us to leave. They didnt like the extra attention to their workspace but when he heard they we had drove all the way from the city center simply to detox, he laughed and let us hangout a little more!

What you don't need is a time machine, but what you do need is to visit the physical time capsules lingering around us that can you back in time.
This specific tram I got on was built in the 1900s, somewhere around the early 1980s. Till date it is fully functional and full-speed ahead. It is simply incredible how these pieces of history are still around us and breathing.
Some may not find them as exciting as I did. That was obvious when the conductor made a joke about foriegners like myself always recording trams and other "old crap", as she said it.
Recently, Ukraine has decided to flood more and more modern and locally made trams into the cities. As cool as they may be, they will replace these beautiful mechanical magics which date over multiple decades. The other oldest mode of public transportation I have been on is a metro cabin that was built in the early 1980s. There is so much history, and pride residing in these beautiful machines.
All that said, the older trams can be incredibly noisy. If you arent a fan of incresing vibrations and shakey stuff, you better stay away from these. I always prefer carrying my noise cancellation earbuds on trams and the metro routes that still employ older machines.
Everything from the seats to the exterior is still lagging in the black and white era. It is such a classic and a fun ride! There are modern e-ticket terminals on the tram but it is always fun to buy a ticket from the conductor. There is a belief that if the first 3 digits on your ticket add up to the sum of the last 3 digits then you are lucky. How cool is that!

Travelling may be one of the most enjoyable things I have done. Travelling during a pandemic however is a completely different story. This journey took me approximately 18 hours from start to end. From entering the Sharjah International Airport in the United Arab Emirates to landing in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, to reaching Kharkiv city via bus and then going home by cab. It is one tiresome journey. There are plenty of ways to shorten the journey and ease the troubles. Maybe take a local flight from the Kiev Borispol airport to Kharkiv International Airport. Or take the intercity train from Kiev to Kharkiv. But they will always takeaway the incredible views, the lifestyle, the gradual change in the cityscape and the thrill you get in a bus ride.
The flight was pretty empty. I was, for the very first time, anxious. I was worried as to how would things change due to the pandemic and the seemingly empty flight made me reconsider the entire trip. By the time I had these thoughts running in my head I had already boarded the plane and it was far too late to retreat. The flight was incredibly comfortable. It was truly heartbreaking leaving my birthplace, UAE, and seeing the country disappear as we rised into the clouds.A few hours later we touching ground in Kiev. A new fresh breath of excitement filled my lungs. The country had surely changed in a year and there were so many new challenges ahead for me.
The best part was the bus ride to Kharkiv. It was an incredible experience. Absorbing the lifestyle and pace of Kiev city and it soon slowing down to almost unrecognizable levels when we reached the cities outside the capital. The 8 hours journey showed a plethora of differnent things. All gradually changing...in the same country. In Kiev it was chilly but wet. When we hit the highways the landscape had turned into trees and more trees. Then it turned into fields of plantations. They were getting increasingly snowy the further we went. Eventually everything was covered in whtie snow! The best part was coming one with the drastic change of weather from hot summer deserts to cold snowy lands.
I couldn't really bear the cold as I wasnt dressed for the occasion. I was able to capture our first stop which was 5 hours in, and what a place it is! Street vendors, a few chairs, lots of people who seemingly were doing nothing. Simply mesmerizing and intriguing. 8 hours later I hailed a cab home. Took the biggest nap of all times and woke up to a completely different weather. The very next morning was bright and the sky was clear. A perfect homecoming weather!

This could possibly be my first ever hike. If this is a hike at all.
A spot from where both the plantations and sunflower fields run endlessly on one side, and on the other side is the city.
Jeans and tennis shoes were my weapons to find this beautiful view.
Right as the sun was setting, I decided I was going to climb up a small hill from which I could oversee the beautiful sunflower fields and the sunset too.
The trickiest part was getting down from the dirt hill. I had no idea how tall the grass was or how deep the ground was. Took a leap of faith and found myself one with nature. Got some dirt in my mouth, too.
But hey, thats part of the experience right?
Caution: A lot of huffing and puffing in the video. Evidently, I am not in a good shape for hikes.
Nevertheless, the view was totally worth all the trouble. The orangish hue from the sunset added to the beauty of the sunflowers. The air seemed so fresh and calming from up there. For a moment it felt like this is the beauty of life that everyone talks about.

The table is all aluminium, and held by 3000 screws. It has a carbon fiber bridge to hold the weight. It is shaped sleekly to resemble a fighter jet. It was engineered for months. It is bolted to the floor with 3 10 inches screws on 2 sides. But it doesn't even feature a nice drawer, just a slit!
Also, it weighs 1500 pounds (680 kg).

It is an epiphany of sorts.

In another case of people not respecting doctors, a congress MLA, a contractor and their entourage get caught on camera going "speaker mode" on the covid incharge doctor in India. Don't get me wrong, this is one of the calmest things I have seen in a long time. Usually, when it is in a subcontinental country setting, a doctor, a viral video - then I am usually expecting a few blows and maybe some blood from the doctor.
Most of the countries in the subcontinent have a recurring abuse against doctors kinda situation. With covid, it is bound to get worse. Long story short, critical condition covid patient is admitted, there are no beds in ICU, request to transfer patient to private hospital, patient dies, hell breaks loose on doctor, doctor is in tears and decides to resign.
Man it sucks to see this happen. An incharge with more than 1 years under his belt. He is not just a doctor, but a life savior with tons of experience. But it seems the public knows better and they have all rights to go ham on doctors. Anyways, doctor did all that he could, lost the patient, gang goes wild on him, plans on resigning, MLA apologizes and blames his nerves.

Kharkov has become the epicenter of the infection. But the reality is that there are many infected but still unconfirmed due to not taking tests. A flipside is that the hospitals are so overburdened that many patients are left unattended. Here is a snippet of what happened when I was called one fine morning and asked to help out an infected patient whose condition was detoriating...fast. He was told he had a 46% chance of pneumonia, has a history of liver resection, diabetes type 2 and was still not being admitted.
I had to step in to attend to him, assess the situation, and with the help of 2 other doctors decide what was to be done next.
Not a pretty situation.
