Our last episode in the mental health block but also our last episode of the season. On todays episode we talk about our own experiences and struggles with mental health and some strategies that help us (We are not counsellors or qualified). This episode really epitomises how we've grown together over the last 12 weeks and learnt a lot about ourselves and each-other.
We certainly feel we can talk to each-other now about our struggles and there isn't a need to keep it bottled up.
We touch upon and reflect the podcast overall and answer some Instagram questions.
Thank you for all the support over the last 12 weeks.
Mike Bevan and Declan Milton-Harris
This week we have the second instalment to our Mental Health series. We have Max from Talk Clothing UK. He speaks about the reasons the business was set up and the values to it. They have raised a fantastic amount of money going to Mental Health charities already whilst only being running for a year. We wish them all the best and hope their business keeps thriving whilst trying to raise awareness of Mental Health. Instagram: @TalkClothingUK
On todays episode we discuss on Mental Health and how it isn't always a bad term and can be used in a good way. Lloyd talks about his work with Living-well-with-Lloyd-Ashley and how he's breaking the male stigma of "big boys don't cry". This is a must listen episode as it certainly helped myself and Declan on that it is Okay to reach out and talk to people when you are not feeling yourself. We wish Lloyd all the best with the business and hope he carries on the great work he's currently doing. P.s Our direct messages are open for anyone that needs a chat or wants to discuss anything.
Mike and Dec are happy with the progress of the podcast and keeping optimistic that we will be out of lockdown soon.
This week we have a special guest, who is a health and fitness educator. She is very passionate about her work and relays her knowledge through her online coaching and Instagram. Katie was a fantastic guest and spoke with honesty throughout.
We wish her all the best with both her businesses.
On this weeks episode we welcome Chris "Donkey" Williams onto the podcast. Chris has been a rugby union referee for numerous years and travelled the world, whilst also managing to referee the local junior fixtures on a Sunday. Chris is a fantastic bloke and referee and we cannot thank him enough for coming on.
On todays episode we had a great friend of ours Katie Eley, come on and talk about her experiences with disability and more recently Welsh Taekwondo. She is such an inspirational person and spoke with pure honesty throughout. We wish her all the best with her journey to become an Olympian.
