Hi, my name is Bennett. I’m a Roman Catholic learning about my Faith every day. I love to talk about things that I learn, so I decided (with God’s grace) to try and do so on the Internet. Hopefully both you and I will learn and grow in the Faith as we make this journey.
In this episode, I talk about the terrible odds of you existing, and what that means about your role in, well, everything.
Unfortunately, this is the last episode of Young Catholic Speaks for the foreseeable future. I hope to resume production eventually, so be sure to subscribe just in case!

The Rosary is the only topic I have covered twice. It's that important to me. You should have seen my script; it didn't have everything I originally intended to say, and it looked like a Choose Your Own Adventure (Skip to page 4; skip to page 7).

In this short episode, I talk about how Jesus gives us His whole Self in the Eucharist, and how we should offer Him our whole selves in return. You could say it's my contribution to the Eucharistic Revival that the bishops of the United States are calling for.
Released March 23, 2024.
Lent is a time of sorrow for sins, but Jesus also calls us to make it a time of freedom. Please note that in this episode, I don't condemn all entertainment. Many movies, TV shows, books, videogames, and even the occasional social media post is meaningful and good.
I also tried a new thing by adlibbing this episode. If I didn't do great, please stick around; I hope that practice will make me better at it.
Released February 24, 2024.
In this episode, I talk about what artificial intelligence is, how it works, how it can help us, and how it can hurt us. Artificial intelligence is a powerful tool, but with great power comes great responsibility.
Please forgive any audio issues. After two years, I'm still learning the best ways to record audio.

In this episode, I explain what "patron saint" means, and why the Church gives patronages to the Saints. I hope y'all have a merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
Released December 23, 2023.
God rested on the seventh day for a reason, but... what was that reason again? And do we really use our days of rest as God intended?
Released November 25, 2023
In this episode, I talk about the differences between internal and external corruption, and discuss three parts of fighting sin in our own lives.
Released October 28, 2023.
Sometimes, it can feel like God doesn't have a plan. Instead, it can feel like He's making things up as He goes along. At other times, especially in retrospect, we can see how God has been using what appeared to be coincidences to help us progress in our faith journeys. It's helpful to keep those "coincidences" in mind.
Released September 23, 2023.
There is a debate raging throughout the world about whether or not Faith and Science can coexist, and if not, which will triumph. This debate is silly, though, for reasons that I explain in this episode.
Released August 26, 2023.
Last month, I talked about the first four Beatitudes. This month, I finish what I started by talking about the latter four Beatitudes. You don't need to listen to Part One first to understand this one.

Released July 22, 2023
The word "beatitude" sounds like a shortening of the words "beautiful" and "attitude", right? The words really have nothing to do with each other, but in this episode I interpret the first four Beatitudes as beautiful attitudes that we can have in our lives. Be sure to be on the lookout for part two, where I will talk about the remaining four Beatitudes.
Released June 24, 2023.
Recently, I've found myself being distracted. By distracted, I mean completely forgetting about or ignoring God for short periods of time. It's caused me to lose hope and to be all around miserable. Being distracted like this is not fun, but it's also not hard. This episode is about noticing distractions in your life and how to fight them. I'm pretty new to the subject myself, but I hope this episode helps.
Released May 26, 2023
This month I talk about Eucharistic Adoration. Adoration is awesome. It's brought me plenty of joy, and so now I hope to share that joy with you.

Have you ever wondered why obedience is preached about so much? I for one have always thought that obedience is over preached and, honestly, quite boring. But now that I've looked into it, I've found that it's a pretty interesting topic. Here's my brief analysis on the virtue of obedience and why it is so important.
Released March 25, 2023
This is a dangerous one. It is true that God wants you to be happy, but what does that mean? In this episode, I explain my thoughts on what happiness is, and how God wants to give it to us.
Released February 25, 2023.
To clarify, this episode is a response to the TED Talk '"Everything Happens for a Reason" -- and Other Lies I've Loved' by Kate Bowler. In it she explains that she had been lied to by a Christian mentality called the "Prosperity Gospel". This episode explains how the Prosperity Gospel is wrong, and what the truth about suffering is.
Released January 28, 2023
So, I read the entire Bible. In this episode, I talk about a few things that I noticed about it. There isn't a main point to the episode, it's just a few things that I found interesting. I also try to be a little funny.
Released December 24, 2022. Merry Christmas!
In this episode, I try to prove that Jesus is really God. Hopefully, this is a faith-booster or maybe another argument for your Christian toolbelt. In fact, I hope that all of these episodes bless you in some way. Please keep vocations in your prayers - an increased response to all vocations or maybe even to know your own vocation. What God wants is always what is best for us.
Released November 26, 2022
In this episode I talk about holidays in the Church: the Holy Days of Obligation, the feast days of the saints, and some secular holidays that started out as Christian celebrations. I also talk about how the Holydays are supposed to remind us that we need to constantly be growing our relationship with God, and one way that we can do that. What I say in the episode are just my thoughts. If you need spiritual direction, you should talk to a member of the clergy.
Released October 22, 2022
In this episode I talk about the Miraculous Medal: What it looks like, the symbolism in it, the story of how we got it, and more. In the second half of the episode, I talk about the letter that I received from the White House in response to the letter I sent back in January. One might call what I say "political," but I merely tell the truth. I'm not trying to hurt anybody's feelings or make anybody feel like they are right.
Released September 24, 2022
In this episode, I talk about the saints: who the saints are, why we have saints how the saints help us, and why we pray to saints. I found it really interesting that August 27 (the day this episode is being released) is the feast day of Saint Monica, who constantly prayed for her son Augustine, who spent his early life away from Christ. Her prayers eventually worked, and Augustine converted and turned out to be a great saint himself. Saint Monica, pray for us!
Released August 27, 2022
In this episode I talk about the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, what It represents, how the Sacred Heart is connected to the Eucharist, and how devotion to the Sacred Heart is a beautiful and fruitful devotion.
Released July 23, 2022
I this episode, I talk about the Christian doctrine Sola Scriptura: what it is, why it was introduced, and why the Catholic Church does not teach it. I also talk about Purgatory and indulgences. My goal for this episode is to increase my listeners' understanding about both sides of the argument around Sola Scriptura.
Released June 24, 2022.
In this episode, I talk about the different kinds of grace and how they affect our lives. I used the Catechism of the Catholic Church 1996-2005 as my source for this episode, so you should definitely check it out.
Released May 28, 2022
Welcome to Young Catholic Speaks. In this episode, I talk about the seven Sacraments of the Catholic Church, what they do and why they are important. I also talk a little bit about God's Divine Providence.
Released April 30, 2022
In this episode, I talk about what prayer is, why we pray and a way to pray that I have found works for me. I also talk about how important it is to make prayer a conversation with God, and not a monologue at God.

My goal with this episode is to educate newcomers to the Rosary about the basics of how and why we pray the Rosary, without being overwhelming. There is a lot of information that I leave out to keep things simple, so I encourage listeners to find a guide to praying the Rosary after listening to the episode to help them further their understanding of the prayer, especially the Mysteries.

Hi, my name is Bennett, and welcome to the very first episode of Young Catholic Speaks.
Today I talk about three actions normal people can take to help end abortion in the United States. In a bonus section at the end, I also talk about how Young Catholic Speaks came about.
Young Catholic Speaks can be considered an "amateur" podcast, so please excuse any glitches in the audio quality that you may notice.
