Happy Black History Month! Episode three is about Social Activism, I was not an activist then and I am clearly not now. However, I just wanted to quickly talk about that. You don't have to be an activist to speak out on things, you do it at your pace but do not expect people to do your jobs when it comes to education. As always than you for tuning in and allowing me to do this. Thank you!
This episode got a bit emotional and I apologise for that. I thought of refilming it but I would have found it to be a bit inauthentic. In episode 2, I discuss the constant pressure I feel like I personally have with being proud of myself but also upholding my young self's dream to the point where my young self and I would find common ground for my current happiness.
In this first episode, I discuss my background a bit and how immigrating in Canada, as a young kid, was a bit overwhelming where I experienced bullying for the first time, a bit of shock from the cultural differences and early in my high school years got diagnosed with depression and anxiety where my very haitian mom did not really understand nor question what was going on with me. Though, tried to be very supportive of me still.
