You may have heard it said that forgiveness is about you and your peace. That's not biblical and it's not Christlike. Jesus didn't die on the cross so He could be at peace. His purposes are redemptive, relational and restorative and that should be our motive. Let's see what the truest definition is and how it reshapes a lot of what we may have thought or been taught. Have you ever wanted something so badly and needed something so badly, yet either didn't know how to get it or if it was even attainable? Or, if you did know, you weren't willing to let something go or change some priorities in order to get it... and so it remained far off? We probably don't even realize it, but while we are almost oblivious to the issues that should be most precious to us-- if we truly love ourselves-- we are very aware of, and even often driven by, events and pleasures that should have relatively no value to us at all. We have to get the idea out of our heads that confrontation equals conflict. It doesn't. It can and sometimes does, but not nearly as often as we think. It's necessary. It's not to be avoided, it's to be engaged. The Gospel is, by its very nature, confrontational. Jesus the Messiah is confrontational, and He's life-saving. Let's take an all-important look at it and walk away with a totally different perspective.

No matter what we profess to believe, have faith that it will happen or trust, we need to understand that is not enough to bring it to pass. It must have what we'll call an "object" in which to put our faith, hope or trust in. No matter how much faith we have, no matter how fervent our hope, no matter how strong our want, no matter how beneficial our prayers, if they are not grounded in a truth, a promise, etc. it will not come to pass. There are two types of nakedness: physical and spiritual. In today's world with all of its indecency and immodesty, baring all or most goes virtually unnoticed. Is it even worse with our souls? The word 'let" is a very important one in the Bible. We need to find out just what is meant by this short term and how it affects our lives and our eternity. It is unique to humans, it is a GIFT from Almighty God and we will answer for what we do with it. When we are in need of physical healing, we pray to be healed. While our Amighty is certainly concerned about our physical ailments, difficulties and even afflictions (really hard times), we need to know that we shouldn't always look to be cured or pain-free, as more orten than not, suffering is part of the normal Christian life, and the unbeliever's life as well. You will learn there is great benefit in suffering, though it is rarely easy. Listen in!
