as we live our lives, opportunities arise at every waking moment. as long as we are present, we see the opportunities. at times, the opportunities of a life time presents itself and due to feelings of not being worthy, not being deserving, lack of courage and whatever else hold us back, we self sabotage ourselves. we prove to ourselves , through self sabotage that i wasn't worthy. the change starts in you and with you. mindset , courage and vulnerability can be the foundation of change to start on.

we give and receive energy every moment of the day. when we are present, we are in it. as life moves forward, so does our energy. sharing respect, kindness and love obviously produces positive energy which then produces positive environment however, there is another side as well. life must balance, do we share negative energy in a non-valued way? think about it. leave a comment and ask anything.

connecting with others comes from the heart. do you live i your heads or do you live in your heart? how to do operate when connecting with others? how do you you connect and how deep are you willing to go? are your bringing yourself 100%? remember, minimal effort gets you minimal results, so don't complain about lack of connections if your not all in.

when we are vulnerable with others, we must first be vulnerable with ourselves. growth and being uncomfortable are hand in hand. we must always challenge ourelves and not care what others think a we present our vulnerability. even if we are not received as we thought we expected, that is still something to learn from. the questions to ask are, have i out grown this circle? is this why i currently have the results i currently have? are the "friends" i currently have empowering me to grow? are they growing? look to your left, then look to your right, and take inventory of who you surround yourself with. is this your tribe?

we tend to bleed on those who did not cut use and many times, they are our children we bleed on. we must be aware of our way of being. when we have challenges in life as men, it is not ok to carry your anger. it only ends up being released on those who do not deserve it. stay in your power and know that we do not control no one but self. so carry yourself with honesty and integrity so your children can do the same. be vulnerable with your children. the connection lasts a lifetime!

we all have scars from childhood. for me, it started with my mother teaching me her fears, her nightmares and her beliefs. as a child, i didn't know any better. as we grow, we start to see that the beliefs, fears and BS given are not our very own. there comes a time in a man's life where he will have to confront those fears and have clearing and open conversations with his mother, father or both. through vulnerability, we can show the scars and how deep they hurt us.

Season 2 will focus on a man's connection or lack of connection to being vulnerable. men have been "trained" to be hard asses with no emotion. how many times have you heard your father or have heard other fathers telling their sons "Boys don't cry"! which is a pile of bullshit. as children, men are taught to hold in their feelings and emotions which begins the journey of separation from others. it is very important to be vulnerable and speak your heart to your loved ones. we have one life; do you want higher level of connections, or do you want to be the only one showing up to your funeral????

this episode encompasses all of season 1. i had lots of flashbacks and emotions were running high for me as i explained anchors of a man. i have been on one heck of a journey of personal growth and development and it is always good for me to feel the emotions of how i was and who i am now. growth is what matters. decay is where we will end up at the end of our lives. why not grow above ground rather than decay as we live??

4th anchor of a man - RESPECT! what we practice is what we achieve. what we achieve is our results. all anchors that hold a man down firm must be practiced 100% at all times. ensuring we are respecting ourselves and leading ourselves so others will follow.

Anchor#3- Responsibility. another very important anchor of a man. there are 5 anchors that hold a man steady when the storms of temptation show up in a man's life. practicing, living and believing in these anchors help to build a solid foundation to build upon. if these 5 anchors are not being practiced and one faulters below the other, the foundation becomes weak and brittle and what the man has built upon his foundation now come crumbling down. it can of course be rebuilt however, as men, we need to stand strong and always have a 360 awareness of our being.
