Over the weekend, men of the Ondo state police command arrested a 45-year-old football coach, Bankole Oginni for killing his ex-girlfriend in his room in Akure, the state capital.
The deceased was found in the suspect’s room with her legs and hands tied, her body dissected, and her intestines removed with patches on her body that showed signs of hot water burns.
In a viral video, the suspect while confessing to the crime, said the deceased called him and asked for financial assistance as she normally does and that on the fateful day, he invited her over to his father's house.
Clergymen under the aegis of the e Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria says it will abide by the framework of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, in its decision in voting for the next president of Nigeria in the 2023 general election.

He said that the group would engage and collaborate with other like-minded associations and organisations as well as individuals to ensure that Nigerians benefit from the dividends of the elections.
He said, “We will continue to engage and collaborate with like-minded organisations and individuals to ensure that the 2023 Elections delivers to Nigerians and Nigeria a ticket that will further the unity of the country in line with the expectations and prayers of Nigerians.”
Speaking further, Dr. Ilechukwu said that the PFN would be open-minded as it engages all political parties, particularly in addressing issues of national concerns
“The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria will continue to be open-minded and broad-minded, leaving the door of engagement with all political parties open, so that all the issues that are holding back the development and unity of Nigeria can be comprehensively addressed.”
“However, the PFN will continue to mobilise the Church to ensure full participation in the political process by all Christians, while encouraging all our members to vote in line with what is best for Nigeria and the Church at all levels, with the framework prepared by the Christian Association of Nigeria as guide.” He also stated

An alleged audio conversation between Bishop Felix Okpara and the 16-year-old girl he allegedly raped for one year has been shared online.
39-year-old Bishop Felix Okpara Duruebube, pastor of Mercy House Church International, was last month remanded at the Port Harcourt Correctional Centre by a Chief Magistrate’s Court in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The accused person was arraigned on a two-count charge by the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID).
Reading the charge, Chief Magistrate had said Bishop Duruebube between the month of April 2021, to May 2022 had unlawfully and sexually abused a 16-year-old girl.
The magistrate also said sometime in the month of December 2021, at Mercy House Church International headquarters in Eliozu, the suspect unlawfully forced the minor to take an oath not to sleep with another man or tell anybody about the abuse; otherwise, she would run made and die.
However, the accused pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted bail by Chief Magistrate Anugbum, with two sureties in the like sum of N2 million. One of the sureties must be a bishop, while the second surety must be a relative with landed property within the Magisterial district.
He was remanded after he failed to meet up his bail conditions.
Now, a voice note purportedly detailing his conversation with the teenager has emerged.
In it, a voice is heard scolding the teenager for not bathing.
"If you don't bathe, it will make your pussy to be smelling," the voice said is heard scolding the girl.
The girl apologizes and promises to bathe and take care of her lady parts.
The girl then informs the older man that it appears "mama" is aware of what is going on between them and has warned that she will die if she continues.
