In Context with pattrice jones at is a bi-weekly half hour talk show that looks at timely questions facing animal advocates within the broader ecosystem of ideas about social and environmental justice.
Each show features pattrice introducing a topic by way of one of the animals at VINE before inviting a featured guest into a free-flowing discussion about their own work on the topic at hand.
The podcast comes to you from VINE Sanctuary, an LGBT-led farmed animal sanctuary in Vermont that works for social and environmental justice as well as for animal liberation.
Eloísa Trinidad is a co-founder of the Vegan Activist Alliance and director of Chilis on Wheels. She joins pattrice for a conversation about the history and future of these two organizations, and the importance of looking at animal activism as part of a project of collective liberation.
LoriKim Alexander, organizer of Black FegVest, kickass activist for QTBIPOC liberation, and biologist, joins pattrice jones on In Context to talk about turkeys, urban nature, and The Cypher, a Black femme-focused and led QTBIPOC collective with the goal of forwarding Black Trans and Queer liberation with a vegan and environmental justice praxis.
