The theme for the week is a lovely one basically because it gave me the chance to display my love for hymns. Hymns are something I love so much, I will say it’s because of my background in the church but I simply love hymns.
The song I sang today is one of my favorite hymns, it is surely an old hymn written by sammis (1846-1919), imagine how old this hymn is and we are still singing it till current age.
It is a song that describes the essence of having complete trust in the maker of every good thing. All we have to do, is to trust and obey, once we are able to do that, every other thing just comes to align.

Mass Indoctrination Day Nine (9).
In the church of God, we are encouraged not to avoid the congregation of the brethren, the gathering of the people of God is a blissful one that is important for us to learn the doctrines of Christ and work on them.
Singing praises to God is very important and extremely important to the extent that it is powerful enough to even drive out evil spirit. Through songs and worship to God, evil spirit will bow and flee.
The angels are even singing to God, according to psalm 92:1, singing and giving praise to God is very important.
Even as humans, when we have our lovers sing to us, we feel very special and loved, so we need to also sing songs of praises to God.
Job 38:7 When the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy, this is a bile passage to emphasize the importance of songs to angels and humans.
1Corinthians 14:26 We are encouraged that whenever we gather together as Christians, we should hav a sound, we should have a doctrine, we should have a tongue, we should also have a revelation, and through all of it, we should make sure that everything we do is done unto edification.
When there is a tongue, there should be an interpretation of the tongue.
Even if your voice is not so good, it does not matter, as long as you are singing to God then it is important.
Early Christians gathered on Sunday’s, we as followers of God should also gather on Sunday to worship God. This is not to say that we cannot gather on every other day as we please, according to acts2:47 which says praising God, and having favour with all the people, and the Lord added to their number, day by day those who were being saved.
The most important thing for us to do during gathering is found in the book of 2chronicles7:14, if my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
The gathering is extremely important because we are able to check up on another and see how we are doing and then exalt one another, encouraging one another in the word and doctrines of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Gal1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach in a doctrine that is different from the doctrines of Christ, then we should not believe in it.
According to John 6:67 J. Jesus asked some of his disciples if they want to leave. We should stop listening to the doctrines that are not based on the word of God.
We are supposed to obey the doctrines of Christ which is a path that leads to righteousness. If you are at peace with your service to God, you need to calm down and continue with your service to him.
Christ does not force anyone to obey or to follow him, it is our duty to choose between life and death, between blessings and failure.
In the church of God, there is one only one body and one spirit, this means we need to sieve out every spirit and only receive the doctrines that are in the word of God, we should not be quick to discard everything we hear, but instead we should test the spirit if it is aligned with the doctrines of the word of God.
Fighting with someone over a political position is not good at all.
Proverbs19:27 reminds us of the need to abstain from every form of deception, we should not just listen to things simply for the fun of it when we know that there is nothing for us to benefit from the situation.
The doctrines of Christ is what we should learn, accept, believe in and follow diligently.
The doctrines of Christ teaches faith, love and peace.
According to John 13:35 it is through these signs that all men know that ye are true disciples.
With the word of God, we should know whom we should listen to and those whom we need to stop listening to.
According to Mathew6:6, as Christians, whenever we want to pray, we should enter into our closet an offer our prayer request to God.
Prayers need to be made in the closet of our rooms and not in public places
Mathew12:43-44 talks about the need for us to consistently remain in Christ and constantly study the word of God because when cast out demons gets out of a body, they will return and when they find out that the body is empty, they will enter into it in double folds. This means we need to accept the spirit o the Lord in our heart to direct and guide us.
Hebrews 13:1 we are to allow the spirit of the Lord to continually guide and direct us.
We should not entertain wrong doctrines at all, when the word of God is obeyed, your conscience and everything will become good.

Mass indoctrination day seven (7).
We are supposed to do good to everyone, regardless of whether the person is a brethren or not. As we have the opportunity, let us do good unto all men.
We should love our fellow men and certainly love other people who are not even of the household of God. The commandment of God is to feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, give food even to the enemy, love your fellow men as yourself.
You do not like being lied on, do not lie on another
You do not like others to be cruel to your children, do not be cruel to other people’s children.
Gal6:10 also reminds us of the need to do good to our fellow men and even to our enemies.
Mat7:12 says we should do what we want to receive from other people. You want to be loved, then love others too, you want to be forgiven, then forgive others also.
In the church of God, we are not allowed to take cases to the court, elders in the church would help to settle dispute amongst brethren.
Phil 1:27 encourages us to stand fast in one spirit and soul, been untied in the doctrines of Christ.
If we have the capacity, we should lend to others who need to borrow.
James2:15 says if a brother is naked, we should clothe him, if he is hungry we should feed him.
MCGI shows this act of love by running an orphanage programme for children who were abandoned in comfort homes. Creating a place to take care of the old and abandoned.
There is a completely free education for children whose parents cannot afford to take care of them.
We should be grateful to God, to those who raised us, our teachers and mentors. We should learn not to brag or boast about the things we have, we should remember that someone has given it to us.
We will learn to do good to everyone as children of God, the first commandments is to love God, the second one is to love our fellow men.
We should not lie, steal or kill fellow men.
1John3:18 our love should be demonstrated through works and deeds and not just with speech. We should do good to all, but we should show extra goodness to the brethren in the church.
When we relate well with others, it will drive them to the church of God.
Do good to your enemies by leaving them to God.
Love is not envious.
Love is not boastful or arrogant
Do not be a fault finder
Love doesn’t rejoice in inequity/unrighteousness
Love does not fail.
Love should remain amongst brethren
1peter2:17 encourages us to should honour all men and love the brotherhood
Even as parents, their children should be respected
Romans13:1-3 shows us the need to respect authorities, we must do good all the time, let every soul be subject to the authorities of Christ, so the church of God supports the government and do not fight the government as long as they are doing good for citizens.

Fasting is very important as Christians, it helps us to receive answers to prayers, when we need something from God we should combine fasting with prayer.
Couples should not desire themselves of their body because the body of the husband belongs to the wife likewise the body of the wife belongs to the husband and it should not denied but during the period of fasting, the couples should understand and abstain from any type of sexual relationship during the period of fasting and praying which could be for days.
During fasting, we need to do well, we must forgive others who owe us, feed the hungry and the poor, and support the people who need it.
The husband is the head of the home and according to 1cor11:14, a man is not supposed to have long hair, when a woman has long her, it is for beautification but when a man has long hair it is not for beautification at all.
When the man and woman are of a good spirit and are Christians, the marital journey is blissful and godly but if one person is not of a strong faith, the other person can life the person up. It could be the wife or the husband that is weak in faith, the second person will be able to lift the partner up.
The partner who is of a strong faith must be calm enough to change the other person, not out of conflict and misbehaviour.
Husbands are advised to love their wives and be calm with them because women are weaker vessels, marriage is extremely beautiful and according to the bible, he who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favour from the Lord, so when you find a good thing, which is a wife you should treat her specially and respectfully.
Imagine you have a wife who ensures that your home is habitable for you, ensures that you have everything fine just the way you want it, then you get home and begin to beat and abuse her, that’s not a good way for a Christian to live.
A beautiful home is peaceful and together, the couple can ask God for the things they need and have it done to them.

God always needs us to pray to him, we should not only pray to God because we are going through a difficult time.
We are encouraged to pray all the time without ceasing.
According to the book of Luke 18:1, we are told of a story of a certain widow who was treated unjustly, she went to the judge to avenge her but he did not listen to her, but she consistently went back to him asking him to avenge her, when she consistently disturbed him, he finally agreed to avenge her.
In the church of God, before doing anything after waking up in the morning, we are to pray before going to bed, pray as well. Pray to God before going to bed, thanking God for the provision of the day aand asking him to protect you all through the night. When you wake up in the morning also, thank God for keeping you safe all through the night because not everyone woke up the following morning.
Let your words be few and simple, make the words as few as possible, do not think that through regular repetition, prayers will be answered.
According to 1Peter3:12 which says the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous , he listens to the prayers of the righteous but does not give heed to the prayers of the wicked.
Mathew15:19 talks about how the heart is a product of evil thought such as adulteries, fornications, false witness, in order to have answers to prayers, we need to pursue having a clean heart. A clean heart is a channel to help us have answers to prayers.
1Peter3:7 asks men to honour their wives as they are a weaker vessels, when you are in a good term with your wife, prayers will easily receive answers.
Co7:14 God wants us to pray, the bible says if my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and
Sometimes, we are not receiving answers to prayers because we are going about it the wrong way.
Let every type of bitterness, anger and wrath, clamour, evil speaking and malice be put away from amongst you according to the word of God, with this attitude is put away from us, it will be easy for us to receive answers to our prayers.
It is impossible to keep the word of God in our heart when we do not know the word of God, the word of God purifies and it should be kept close to our heart.
According to john17:17 Sanctify them through the truth, thy word is the truth.
In order to keep the word of God, we need to stay away from every form of bad behaviour or things of the flesh.
Once the heart is good, what will come out of the mouth will also be good but once the heart is evil, the things that proceed out of the mouth will be evil as well. The heart needs to be cleansed in order for prayers to receive answers.
Let your yes be yes and your no no, do not swear, you do not have to lie. All animals can be tamed but the tongue cannot be tamed, it is only God that can tame it.
A truthful tongue is accompanied with a faithful heart.

Mass Indoctrination Day Three (3)
Greetings brethren in the name of God, my name is @oluwatobiloba and these are the lessons i learnt from mass indoctrination programmeday 3.
According to Ecclesiastes 7:27, we are supposed to test every spirit in order to find but which among these spirit is a good one that we are supposed to follow.
We are supposed to hold on to the truth always and avoid everything that appears evil.
Calling upon God is part of the doctrines of Christ, as Christians we need to pray
John 9:31 helps us to understand that God answers the prayers of the righteous but the sacrifices done by the wicked is an abomination to him.
When we pray to God, there is no need to constantly repeat vain things, there is no need to constantly repeat words, because he listens to our prayers, even before we ask, he already knows the things we need, and constantly repeating words will not make any difference.
The book of Isiah65:24 also confirms that God promises to listen to our prayers and before we even finish speaking, he can hear us and he will answer us from heaven.
Do not pray to boast or show off, according to what the hypocrites would do as described by Mathew6:6, who will stand in public places standing and showing off to the public so that people will see them but we are to pray according to what the bible says about us praying in secret and the God who sees our heart in secret would reward us in the open.
We are also encouraged to forgive before we pray, if there is a hurt we have against another person, we should try to forgive them before we pray, as Christians, we are supposed to kneel in agreement to God’s word, kneeling in an horizontal position.
The place of prayer should also be kept extremely clean.
Even if understandable, there are circumstances that we cannot kneel down because we are not in a place to kneel, but we need to be aware that it shouldn’t be always, because we are expected to show respect to God by lying down.
Queen Elizabeth, no one is allowed to pass by her without bowing down, if we can show such degree of respect to a fellow human, how much more are we going to how respect to Christ, we need to pray by kneeling according to the word of God and then avoiding vain reputation.
As women, we should have our head covered and men should not have a covering on their head, because the head of a woman is the man, while Christ is the man of the church.

Mass Inductrination Day Two (2)
As humans we belong to the animal kingdom but we are superior to every animal. The lion who is considered the king of the jungle can be tamed by a man.
According to Romans1:25 encourages us not to change the truth of God with the lives of men, we should not be like the people who worshiped the creature instead of the creator.
Proverbs2:1 makes us understand that it is better for us to choose a good name more than great wealth, so more than we run after wealth we should run after a good name and what name is better than the name of God.
This is a reason why we must associate ourselves with the church of God which he has redeemed with his own blood since it has a good name. Acts20:28 our association with the church of God is better than any other association that does not bear the name of God.
Romans 12:9 encourages us to cleave to the things that are good and abhor everything that is evil, this means we are supposed to cleave to the church of God.
John 12:48 says we need to receive the word of Christ, he says when we reject the words that he has spoken, those words will serve as a judge on the last day.
A copy of the gospel is the bible that we are supposed to have, it is not enough to just have the bible but we are to study it and follow the doctrines and instructions that are in it.
Once you accept the gospel, God will accept you anywhere you are found, accepting the gospel means we are to pursue righteousness and the doctrines of Christ.
Phil1:27 encourages us to follow the doctrines of Christ. The doctrines of Christ is very important, it exposes our minds to the reality of the gospel.
One of the gospel of Christ taught by the apostles can be found in col3:16 which tells us to allow the doctrines of Christ dwell richly in our minds, encouraging and teaching us in all truth.

There are different doctrines and teachings coming up every day but we are advised to follow the true word of God, the doctrines of Christ that can only be found in the word of God.
Jude1:4 The only recognised master is the Lord Jesus Christ.
Mathew 17:5 God gave the apostles the sign to identify Christ as the only begotten Son of Christ and the only one teacher we should follow.
Mark7:7-8 it is evil to condemn the commandment of God and follow the doctrines of men.
It is according to Jesus instruction before he transcended unto heaven in the book of Mathew 28:19, he asked the disciples to go into the nation and preach the gospel, baptizing them in the name of God the father and of the son and of the Holy Ghost.
In order to obey the instruction of Jesus, we must also teach other people the true word of God and share the gospel.
Everything we need to follow is written in the word of God, if someone is trying to teach you something that is against what is written in the word of God, we should not believe or follow it. If something is not written in the word of God, then it is not what we should follow.
Baptism is the first commandment according to Acts22:5 after Apostle Paul got converted, the first thing he did was to get baptized, we can see from Galatians1:13 that he initially use to persecute the church of God. So in order to become a member of the church of God, the first thing is to get baptized.
Baptism is extremely necessary in order to become a member of the true church according to ACTS2:41 before baptism, the doctrines and word of God must be accepted first.
Why do we need to join the church of God? According to Romans12:9 we are encouraged to set aside everything that is evil and cleave unto only good things.
The church of God helps us learn the doctrines of Christ, we cannot accept Christ and reject the church because it is God that built the church.
Eph5:25 describes Christ as the head of the church, so we cannot accept Christ without accepting the church which he is head over.
Eph5:25 Also tells us how much Christ loved the church.
The church would fulfil an eternal purpose according to Eph 3:10, the time of the church can never go into extinction as long as the earth exist.
The purpose of God is to declare the wisdom of God and it is eternal.
Whatever is of God is called by the name of God like the church of God.

Greeting brethren in the name of the Lord, yesterday we had MCGI live event and it was a beautiful time in God’s presence as always. As usual, we were shown videos of how the MCGI team constantly helps to feed the poor and we were encouraged to do the same.
Lessons learnt from today’s teaching. It is our duty as children to take care of our parents who may not have the ability to take care of themselves.
When we have money, the first set of people we want to care for, are our family before extending the arm of love towards someone else.
We were encouraged to fear God and constantly keep his commandments.
There is a constant reward for the people who choose to keep and obey the word of God.
There is also a great reward for people who help their families and take care of thier sick parents.
Raising Children in God’s way definitely has a great reward, it helps these children to grow well and become even more successful.
Religion, race or tribe shouldn’t be a limitation to our act of doing good, even our enemies we should do good to them because God makes it rain both on the good and the bad, so who are we to separate those whom we are going to help.
It was really an impactful time yesterday.

It was a great time today to study God’s word as usual and I am very grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the live meeting today.
Lessons Learnt. Today, we were taught about language, which is one of the special traits that makes human different from every other specie. God had a regular communication with man instructing human on what should be done and how it should be done.
We were also encouraged to promote peace as Christians.
According to Mathew5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called children of God. As Christians we are supposed to help promote peace within our community, within our neighbourhood.
Bringing peace to the environment makes us loved.
I also learned the importance of helping out my fellow man, there are so many things we can do to help our fellow men who are in need according to the word of God.
We were also encouraged to avoid any form of gossip, in our office, neighbourhood or anywhere we find ourselves.
We should look for a job or a business to do instead of staying at home on a daily basis and spreading gossip.
Gossip is an act that causes conflict, war and confusion amongst brethren.
If all that you have to say is gossip then it is best to keep quiet without speaking about that situation.
From what God has given to us, we should also spread the act of giving to other people who lack around us
I learnt from the book of 1John3:18 encourages to follow the doctrines of Christ as learned.

Today is another beautiful day to learn the doctrines of Christ and we were taught from the word of God by brother Eli and brother Daniel.
My name is Oluwatobiloba and we were taught about the importance of prayers and why we need to pray as Christians.
Prayer boosts relaxation and helps us relax in a better way.
Prayer has a way of reducing stress syndromes
Meditation is also an act of prayer, so through meditation, we are actually offering prayers to God.
We were encouraged from the book of Phil4:6 to ensure as Christians that we are not worrying about anything, but we should make sure that through the act of supplication, we should make all our request known unto God.
Through today’s teaching, I learnt that we can talk to God directly without going through any form of advocate to help us mediate.
God answers our prayers when we make supplications asking for what we need.
In today’s teaching we were also encouraged to do good to others, we were shown videos of how the MCGI church helps the poor who are unable to afford their daily needs and these helped individuals were grateful and happy about it, because whatever we do for our fellow men will always come back to us.
We cannot see God physically or give him a physical gift but when we offer help or gift to our fellow men, it is a true worship unto God.
Romans12:1, according to this bible passage that we need to sacrifice our bodies to God by helping out with the work of God which also includes helping the needy and those who are helpless.
Job29:15 I was eyes to the blind, and feet to the lame. There are cases of people who are unable to see or walk, as Christians, we need to show them help by assisting them in any possible way.
Job was confident of the good he did when he was going through a hard time.
Phil:4:5 Let your moderation be known unto all men the Lord is at hand, we were encouraged from this bible passage to allow every man know of our good deeds, doing something good isn’t a thing to hide anyways.
We were encouraged from the book of Phil :6 which says those things which ye have, both learned and received, and heard and seen in me, do and the God of peace shall be with you. We are not just supposed to listen to the word of God, but we are to act well accordingly.
