Hello, Hive Open Mic Community! Thank you for the new theme this week, "My Perception", chosen by our new Spotlight Artist, @gemafreya123. 😇🥰

First of all, I am sorry if I wasn't able to present my song last week due to the flu. Actually, up to this day, I am still having a hard time eating food, but because I love you all, I wanted to present to you another cover, "Speak Now", by our famous international singer, Taylor Swift.

I picked this song because I remember a certain person who is really close to me. We were best friends for years, and all of a sudden, she married a man who is not really my type. (Yeah, not my type for her.) My best friend has a standard when it comes to men, but I didn't really believe that she would marry this below bear-minimum guy. And what's funny is that they only dated for eight months. At their wedding, I really wanted to stand up and run with my best friend because she really doesn't deserve this man. Unfortunately, the marriage happened, and she is now living under the spell of this man. Agghh, wish I really could stop her, but I wasn't able to speak at that time, because, who am I? I am just her best friend.

Hello there, Hive Open Mic! Thank you very much for the chance to be your 187th Spotlight artist. It is really an honor for me to be a part of this exceptional community where every artist and great performer gets acknowledged and recognized for their outstanding work. I chose "a peaceful song" as our theme this week. I believe everyone joining this event has a lot to give, so good luck, ladies and gentlemen! 🥰😇

I chose Celine Dion's song "My heart will go on" for this theme because I know this music fits our theme very well. I first listened to this song in the movie Titanic, which made me understand the mixed emotions contained in this song. It reminds me of Jack and Rose's love story and how they end up not being together because Jack died at the same time as the Titanic boat sank. I believe that this song really belongs to this couple. One thing I admire about Rose is that she keeps living her life to the fullest, as she promised Jack. And I am truly proud of Rose because of the trauma she experienced in her life since the sinking of the Titanic; she made Jack an inspiration to continue her life.

In this modern society, I find it difficult to take courage, especially when we are brokenhearted or maybe our loved one has left us. Even I can't imagine what my life would be like if I lost the person I cared about the most. But this song, "My Heart Will Go On," taught me to move forward, especially when we experience difficult moments in our lives, and to use the memories as inspiration.

Hello, Hive Open Mic Community! Cinema is the 186th theme that I am coming back to. This week, my song for Cinema is “How Far I’ll Go” from Disney’s Moana since its melody touches my soul and a message that fits with what cinema induces in me.

How Far I'll Go by Auliʻi Cravalho is not just a song. Because I truly believe that it's a story of every person who is having some anxieties and struggles between her or his desires versus obligations tied to them. I see that almost all of us have had this problem or are going through it. Sometimes we see ourselves confused by the things that other people want us to do, and in the end, this is not what we see for ourselves. This song not only talks about the adventures, but it also has a deep, hidden meaning that it wants to convey to all of us. This song wants us to explore our own identity and find our purpose in society.

Finally, before I end this blog, let me re-echo it all, each of us has a life of unique experiences to discover while our stories keep getting told. We should always be confident in ourselves and refrain from letting others decide our fate. May we remain as faithful as possible to where we’re coming from, even if that means moving on.

Hello, Hive Open Mic Community! I am back for another theme for this week, which is "Sabor", which means Flavor in English. I had a hard time choosing a song for this week but gladly, I came up with a song para sa 184th na theme. This song was originally by Alamid, a Filipino band, and I wanted to give full credit to them because I introduced Juris as the one who originally sang it. Sorry, my bad. But let me clarify that the song got revived when a female Filipina also made a cover of it, making it easier to try.

The theme of this week is all about flavour. If I relate this to my song for this week, I could use this to symbolize the rich flavours of any form of love we experience. Some of the lyrics of this song can be compared to the sweet memories we had with someone. For me, it's a flavour that we crave every day. The flavour that we savor for a lifetime, and we don't like to let it go.

In fact, the true flavor of love comes with the right balance to everything.

Greetings, Hive Open Mic Community! This is @usagidee and I am back for the another theme for this week which is "Hasta la Vista", which means Goodbye in English. I will be presenting my cover very early because I'll be doing lots of work. And since I really love this community, I won't let my week end without posting a cover here. So for this week, allow me to share with you my cover of Adelle's one of the best songs, and this is "Chasing Pavements".

This song that I chose this week is very emotional. I really feel the dilemma of every person who can relate to this song. "Should I give up, or should I just keep chasing pavements, even if it leads nowhere?" I could feel the hope inside this line and actually this feeling is so painful because it's either you will receive the reciprocated love or if the love is worth to fight for?

I remember myself being on this situation and I couldn't tell you now how many times I tried to fight for it. What's saddening is that I still left broken and depressed. I realized how sad it is to love someone who cannot reciprocate the love you are giving. Sometimes, I don't want to expect anymore but of course, we cannot control our emotions so there may be times that I will just let it lead nowhere.

Good day, everyone here in Hive! I am so happy to be back here at Hive Open Mic with another cover that I will present to this community. For the 182th theme, Folk and Symphonic Metal, I chose the song "My Immortal" by Evanescence.

Actually, the theme for this week is a bit hard, especially the fact that my voice is not fit to any metal genre. But I still hope that I did bring out the best in me trying to sing this music.

My Immortal is a very sad song for me because it talks about a person who is afraid to lose someone. Well, who doesn't fear losing someone they love? When this happens to me, I'd be depressed as well. Maybe I won't be able to go back to my old life if that ever happens.

🎶🎶In real life, I can say that this has also happened to me. What's good is that the person who walked away from me is completely alive. But his memories still remain. Up to now, I feel sorry for I can't find forgiveness in my heart maybe because there was no reconciliation between the two of us. One day, he just chose to disappeared like a bubble, without any communication. It was a few years after I was able to return to normal life and then I just decided to move on. Yeah, I moved on in life because I have to be. But the heartache left by this person, I don't think it will vanish. I am just so grateful that there is finally someone who gave me the love I was looking for.

Hello and happy Thursday Hivers! This is @usagidee and once again, I am back for the 181th Hive Open Mic Challenge. The theme is "Fire of Love", which suggested by our recent spotlight musician, @ljtorres2. For today, let me showcase another cover I created for this week's performance. It's always my honor to be part of this amazing community because of my fellow musicians who never fail to support me on the covers I publish. Again, thank you very much.

For this 181th challenge, I picked the song, "Lover" by our famous international singer, Taylor Swift. I chose to sing this song because I relate so much to the lyrics. As everyone knows, I have now in a long-term relationship with someone I really admire for four years already. When we were new as a couple, we easily got each other's hearts. I can say that even though we were only a couple a few months ago, it was as if we had been together for decades.

If I were to describe our relationship, we are like a dog and a cat who are always enemies. Ah, don't worry, the fight is nothing serious, but we just love to defend the differences in our views on different things. But one of the things I realized in our relationship is that we should accept our flaws in each other.

"And there's a dazzling haze, a mysterious ways about you dear.."🎶🎶 There were hundreds of moments that I always thought what's something special about my partner. Up to now I don't totally know how I started to love him completely and truly. One thing I know is that he is so unique. He is worth my trust and he is always the best even if he is not.There are moments when I don't want to be away from him. If I could, I would glue myself to his body. That feeling is so mutual. I feel it every time we meet. The hugs, the kisses and all the unlimited cuddles are so special. I feel the faithfulness in our relationship.

One thing I also learn while our relationship lasts is to respect each other's "me-time". I know we won't always be sweet. Love is just so tasty, sometimes it's okay if the moments were getting bitter sweet or sour. It's valid if you make each other's disappointed. But I do believe that to keep the fire burning, you just gotta learn to respect one another. Give spaces, and also give your lover a chance to see the whole world.

Take note of this, you can't make your partner's world revolve around you. if you are in an early stage of relationship, learn to respect their time for other things. They want to go on a solo trip? Approve it. Want to take a rest and play their favorite sports? Let him do that. Love is not always about the things that need you to be there. That's because love is not forced; rather, it is about accepting your lover's personality inside and out.

Good day, Hive Open Mic! 🍀🥰✨ I'm back with another presentation, and this time I want to share with you a Disney song that I have loved since I was a little kid. The Little Mermaid movie has this song. I really like this Disney Princess, and like Ariel, I have many dreams. I also had mermaid dreams when I was a young human girl. Some myths claim that mermaids are very attractive and talented vocalists. I really like the way they swim under the waves. But now that I'm older and dealing with life's realities, I'm at a stage where all I want is to live a happy life.

So what precisely does a lovely and tranquil life mean to me?I don't enjoy fame because I don't want a lot of people talking about me; I simply want a calm existence. I want to get married to the real guy of my dreams, the one who won't harm me, and then spend the rest of my life with him and our future kids. Being financially secure is another ambition of mine. It is enough for me that we have enough to eat each day, a place to live, clothing that fits, and, of course, a healthy and quiet world. I no more desire for excessive money.

I also recall a scene from The Little Mermaid when Ariel finds a fork but is unsure of how to use it. Just now, I came to the realization that we are both learning new things, just as she is. We arrive at the solutions thanks to our curiosity, which also somewhat alters our viewpoints. We can learn and develop when confronted with novel circumstances, much as Ariel finally learns how to use a fork. However, it's crucial to remember that we are in these strange circumstances to learn. We could make errors, but that's how we learn. The most important thing is to persevere and not be frightened of learning new things. Our lives become challenging in this way, but this is also how we find our purpose.

Greetings, Hive Open Mic Community! It's great to be back after a few weeks of break, and honestly, I really missed singing in this community. I've been physically, emotionally, and mentally challenged in previous months, and thankfully, I am now healing and getting back on track. Actually, I planned to create my 178th presentation last week, but sadly, I have a lot of things to do, so I can only participate again this week. For this week, I would like to present to you my other masterpiece, a new cover that may suit this week's theme, which is "Urban Music". My chosen song for this week is "It Will Rain" By Bruno Mars, one of the most famous singers internationally.

I picked this song because of the strong emotions shown and felt by the music. During the previous months, I felt sad and deeply depressed. I suddenly lost my appetite for all my work and for the people around me. I felt that I was such a failure. But this song made me realize that there is hope when you keep trying to do your best and to be a better version of yourself.

Amazing day, everyone, and I hope you're having an awesome time. I am pleased to be a part of the Hive Open Mic 166th weekly challenge once again. This time, I played my rendition of Miley Cyrus's song "The Climb," which matches well with our new theme of "Never Give Up." Numerous challenges will come our way in life while we are here on this earth. As I said in my last article, living is a life-long battleground. You don't always win. There are times when you must lose in order to learn to stand up, learn from your errors, and keep moving ahead. It's me, @usagidee and I am back to submit my 165th entry for this week. Since the theme is all about, “In Love with Nature and Mother Earth” , I would like to share with you my cover of the song, Colors Of The Wind from the Disney Movie, Pocahontas. To be really honest, I was going to perform Heal the World by Michael Jackson, but when I was looking through some similar songs on YouTube, I found this song and started to practice it because I really don't like Pocahontas.

But after hearing this song, I realized how well it matched the week's topic. The song Colors of the Wind discusses the environment and how Mother Nature is essential to improving life for both animals and people.

I believe this song can be a powerful wakeup call amidst all of the recent tragedies we've seen, and in order for our future generation to live in a safe and prosperous environment, we must act promptly. A song entitled Colors of the Wind encourages us to treat Mother Nature gently since everything we do impacts the future. Let's all take advantage of what the ecosystem has to offer and make sure that we're all doing everything we can to preserve the environment for future generations.

Hello and Happy Anniversary to Weekend Experience Community! First and for all, I am happy because this is one of the communities that I always join because the members are very active and I can attest to the fact how interactive the weekly engagements are. I can't believe that @galenkp has been giving us very meaningful topics for three years. So since this community's anniversary, I won't be late to submit my weekly entry for the #156 weekend-engagement. This time, the topic I chose was 'three minutes to speak' because for me, I know life is short. And we don't know how long we will live. I have known you for four summers now and believe me, that was all wonderful, and great. And I cherish it all. Thank you for bringing out the best in me. I laughed and I cried many times because of you, but that was all worth it. Loving you is really challenging but I am happy coz the times I spent with you, I know you love and appreciate me. There are times that I feel that I am not the main priority but believe me, I learned to accept it and I am sorry if I got too selfish from everything. If God would give me long life to be with you, I want to take care of you for a long time.

I've been able to return for a few weeks to present my submissions each week, which makes me thrilled. Additionally, I have a ton of free time, so I have no excuse for declining to take part. For this week, the theme is all about "Hopeful", thanks to @jmis101, our spotlight artist.

This week's song is "See you again" by worldwide performer Charlie Puth. I think this song goes nicely with our week's theme.

This song is dedicated to those who never give up hope and never stop believing. Actually, the subject of this song is someone who has lost a friend, a beloved, or a member of their family. Singing this song brings up terrible memories of someone who was extremely dear to me but died a long time ago. One of the things I was unable to accept was her passing since it so deeply hurt me. She was one of those who inspired me in life, one of those who helped when I needed a friend and someone to speak to, and much as what's within the words, I am extremely grieved by her passing. I also spoke to her throughout the first weeks and months after her passing and pleaded with her to give me the courage and guide me. Because I am so lucky to have a friend like her, I still speak to her even though she is no longer among us because I know my guardian angel is her.

She means so much to me that I don't want to believe she's gone permanently. I am certain that we will reunite at some point, and I hope that when we do, our friendship will last for a very long time. Despite the brief duration of our friendship, I am hopeful about her genuineness and in the fact that she has always been at my side and supported me.

I selected this song because, although I am not talented in other areas of art, I am skilled in singing, which is also a type of art. As I already said, I was embraced when I was young in this society, which substantially influenced my singing abilities. Hello, Hive Open Mic Community! I'm pleased to be back and bring to you another cover, this time of Kelly Clarkson's song "Stronger." This will be my entry to the 162nd challenge posted here, which was suggested by @maryjacy, one of our featured artists.

I've been going through a really horrible time in my life for the last several days. I've been heartbroken and uninspired to do anything at this point. I can't help but feel frustrated with myself since I still can't figure out what's wrong or how to fix it. Sometimes all I want to do is shut my eyes and drift off to sleep, but my problems and worries keep following me. I had been trying to find a justification for everything up until this point in order to keep going. I wished I could start again this time. I wanted to change as a person, sort of like character development. I keep telling myself that I have to do this in order to stop having people hurt me. I yearned for the suffering to end so that I could begin anew.

I wanted to be STRONGER.
And that would start if I challenge myself to BE OKAY.

The theme for this week was so fantastic that I'm back here to give another presentation, which I know you'll all enjoy. This week's subject is "A Good Friend," as proposed by our featured artist. That is why I'd like to share with you "One Call Away" by Charlie Puth.

This song makes me remember a certain individual that I've known for a while. Our relationship is totally platonic but also very special. I like how he treats me like his sister and is there for me whenever I need someone with whom to share my frustrations. In real life, we seldom ever cross paths. However, we are always accessible if one of us needs to talk to the other. Our relationship wasn't as romantic because he is homosexual and young. We just support one another constantly, and I know that many of you may relate to this.

We occasionally encounter someone in life who will hold a particular place in our hearts. Sometimes we don't need someone romantically; instead, we simply want to communicate to some honest individuals, people who would listen to our concerns and show empathy.

Several of my friends fall into this category, which makes me extremely grateful. Sometimes just being a good listener is enough. What is matters most to me is that someone can appreciate and help me; if I sense this type of connection with someone, I tend to maintain them for the long term, since they are genuine friends.

I'd want to dedicate this song for this week's subject to a person who I truly consider a true friend. Hello there, Hive Open Mic Community! It's been a while since I last posted something here. To be completely honest, I had a lot of issues weeks ago, which is why I haven't posted as much on Hive. I lost interest in singing as well and for the time being only concentrated on my schoolwork. Yet even so, I'm grateful that I was able to come back to this platform because this time, I genuinely wanted to start again. 💖🍀

I wanted to take this opportunity to share my cover of the Don Moen song "Give Thanks," as the new topic for this week is "Al Dios Que Adoramos," as recommended by our featured artist. When listening to this song and studying it, I broke down in tears as I sensed the presence of God, who I believe is directing me and will never forsake me. As I mentioned, I have battled much over the past few weeks, and every day I consider ways to solve my issues. But here I am, still being awakened by God. There are moments when I want to give up on my goals, but God never fails to give me motivation to keep going because eventually I will succeed. I was reminded to be thankful for my blessings, no matter how tiny they may be, by this song. I sometimes think that maybe I'm not God's favorite child. Yet, I have come to realize that my time will come, and I must go on living the life that God the Father has given us. Even if there may be a crisis, let's work to strengthen our relationship with God. He won't put up with us once we come to Him and seek direction and solutions to our difficulties. He will, however, lead the way for us.

Hello, Hive Open Mic Community! It's an honor for me to return here every week and deliver my submissions. Time passes by so quickly, and I can't believe I've been here in this community for thirty-two weeks, and I'm grateful to the people who watch my performances. Because the new theme recommended by @bertrayo as the spotlight artist, is about Traditional music, I would like to give to you one of the most famous folk songs here in the Philippines. ✨👏🏼"Ili-Ili Tulog Anay," meaning "Sleep a while, little one," is the title of this song. As previously stated, this song is traditional music from the province of Ilo-Ilo in the Visayan Region of the Philippines. Because of its eerie sound, this song got increasingly famous, and it was utilized in various Filipino horror films. Yet when I learned more about this folk music, I discovered that it was not actually scary rather, it is just a lullaby. But If you will just read the English version, you will later on realized that the music is a bit disturbing. in the first stanza, it was unsure who is the person cradling the baby and in the the second portion of the folk song is a little strange to me since it is unclear who the mother is referring to when she returns home and is requested for assistance with the items she purchased from the market.

The composition of this folk music is rather strange, but because the creator of this song is unknown, let's just suppose that the music is an open tale in itself. Because I'd heard this music in a few horror films, I began to imagine several possible situations based on it. What if the person cuddling the infant isn't entirely human? What if he was cuddling the baby to sleep because it was crying and could make a loud noise that neighbors would notice?

Anyways, whatever the story is all about, traditional music plays an important role in our culture. May we never forget these works of art.

Being back in the Hive Open Mic community to do a special presentation for this week's challenge makes me extremely delighted. Before I begin, I'd want to convey some tragic news about my college life. Since we resumed face-to-face sessions in January, I've seen a lot of unpleasant events and situations for which I am terribly sorry. We are shocked to hear that another student committed suicide due to depression. In reality, some students' situations are quite challenging, and I've heard that many people suffer from this form of mental illness. This week, I've been thinking a lot about the awful things that are occurring in my environment, and I've felt overwhelmed with mixed emotions.

I have days when I don't want to go to school. Sometimes I just want to sleep because it offers an escape from the harsh realities of my environment. For the time being, all that counts is that I am still alive and kicking. I am glad that God has given me the strength to persevere until now. I'm not sure whether I'll be able to graduate on time because of the peer pressure I'm getting from everyone, and I'm still managing to deal with my financial problems. Yet, as I already stated, I will remain determined as long as I am capable of waking up every day.

For the 150th challenge in this community, I would like to present to you the song Amazing Grace with another version. Actually, I already did a cover of this song, but today, the hymn got me attracted, and I wanted to present to you the other version of this song.

Love comes in many different forms so I hope that every one of us here are feeling totally in love. This song is very popular even today because of the theme of the song which expresses a lot of emotions. With so much chaos in our world today, I can't imagine what the future holds for the children born and yet to be born. Hello, Hive Open Mic Community! I am back for another round of the open mic contest, and since the theme is "A Grateful Heart," I want to share with you a presentation of mine that really is a very meaningful rendition. This song is by our common singer here in the Philippines; she's Nikki Gil, and this song of hers is one of the ones I really admire.

This song was first heard on television in a Shampoo campaign. I believe I was in elementary school at the time. And, because my grandmother forced me to pursue my singing career as a member of our church choir, I chose this song as my admission piece.

At that time, I honestly didn't know what the music was all about. I just sing it and use that as my piece every time someone asks me to show my talent in music. And as we reach the 147th challenge of this community, I got a chance again to sing this song and to have a reflection about it.

Glowing Inside is a song written for a really supportive person. If my grandmother is still alive, I'd like to thank her for being one of the most compassionate and supportive grandma I've ever known. It's simply too bad she died with some scars in her heart. She was depressed in her final months, and I don't recognize her as the grandma I once knew. But, after all, I still owe my grandma a great debt of gratitude for the several occasions when she demonstrated excessive generosity and affection for me. I recall how she joyfully encouraged me in religion class and how she was so pleased of my accomplishments as a young singer in church.

For me, my grandmother is one of the people who inspires me to glow inside and to share my talent with other people. Because of her, I am here; being confident and actively singing.

I am truly have this grateful heart even though we didn't end up in good terms. As I remember, she just died with Alzheimer's disease and tuberculosis. That became very hard for us to treat her illness because she was already old. But i think she is now resting in peace and happy on the other side. Though she died, unhappily, I believe she is proud of me and to all her kids.

I love you so much and thank you for all the kind words that you told me. Thank you for the generosity you showed to me and to all the advices that you given me when I was young. Till we meet again.

I am happy to return to this community for the 145th challenge of the Hive Open Mic. First of all, how are you all? We are only half way through the first month, but it seems that I have faced so many unexpected circumstances. However, I still expect that the year 2023 will continue to be good. All of us are looking for something that will satisfy us all. Some people may be seeking gems, popularity, recognition, and other things. However, oftentimes we overlook the small details that are there in front of us and what really counts. And since we frequently place too much emphasis on the things we wish we had, we simply fail to acknowledge some things that truly matter. Sometimes it's too late for us to realize that what we've been looking for has been right in front of us the entire time. Discovering your life's purpose is an amazing aspect of life in my perspective.

Wonderful day to everyone! Since this will be my last blog for the year in the Pukumundo community, I just wanted to wish everyone a good new year. So how's your Christmas? I know some of you are now getting busy and preparing for the New Year. Before I bid goodbye to this year 2022, let me share with you another cover of the song that I did last night. This was the first song that came to mind when I read the new theme for this week, which is "Nuestro Destino" or "Our Destiny". Honestly, this theme really fits this week as we are now preparing ourselves for the new chapter that we will be facing as the new year arrives.

Many people didn't like me when I was a teenager. Because of the constant bullying I experienced and my rebelliousness, I frequently made terrible life choices. Hello, Pukumundo Community! I'm a little anxious to post because this will be my first ever entry in your community. First off, my username is @usagidee, but you may also call me Dee.

As I recall, I only started following this community a week ago, and the first thing I did was watch some existing people and how they posted. In my opinion, the important thing is to be able to offer any type of rock or metal music each week, whatever the topic. I so diligently looked for female rock that suited my voice. Anyway, I can generally sing in the mezzo-soprano and alto ranges. I occasionally still have the ability to sing rock songs, so when I learned that there was a community for this style of music, I decided to join.

For this singing voice week 45, I chose to perform "The Only Exception," one of Band Paramore's most captivating songs. Despite the fact that Paramore's main singer has a high voice, I gave it my all to sing the song's notes. I sincerely hope you all enjoy it.

Once again, hello, Hive Open Mic Community! I am overjoyed since my voice has returned to normal and I can now achieve some high notes. For this week's 138th Open Mic Challenge, I'd like to share the music I chose for the topic "Magic." I believe that many of us here are familiar with the song "A Whole New World," which was performed by our very great vocalists Miss Lea Salonga and Mr. Brad Kane and is from the movie Aladdin. To this day, numerous singers continue to perform their own versions of this music.

I believe that when you strive to believe in yourself, magic happens. If you have seen the movie Aladdin, you will know that Aladdin tried numerous ways to win the love of princess Jasmin since he lacked the courage to do so. But in the end, Jasmin seeks a sincere guy. Many of us share Aladdin's sentiments. Sometimes we have to push ourselves to make a change in order to achieve anything. However, occasionally we lose our sense of contentment in life and turn selfish.

I mentioned previously that when you strive to believe in yourself, magic happens. Many of us give up and would rather stop. But in my opinion, you will quickly be able to conquer life's obstacles once you develop strength and patience. Good day, Hive Open Mic Community! I am so happy that I am now back for the 136th challenge here with the theme, "Let's Rock." a chosen theme by our friend, @maitt87. For this week, I would like to present to you my cover of the song, "Fall for You" by Secondhand Serenade. Please forgive me if my voice isn't that good today. I'm still having pain due to tonsillitis, and my voice sounds a bit harsh. But believe me, I really tried my best singing for, guys.

Fall for You is a song with a genre of alternative rock and pop. When I heard about the new theme, The first song that came up to me is this song since the tune and notes are quiet easy to hit. Additionally, it reminds me to a lot of memories when I was in Highschool and when I had the first epic love.

Sometimes when there are people we love and they also reciprocate the love and affection we give, we sometimes tend to think that such a relationship is so perfect. But in reality, it becomes toxic especially when we get used to them being there for us. Sometimes, I don't believe that when you love someone, you should accept the flaws. What if that person is a walking red flag? I think the best way is still to help them adjust their attitude. That's what true love is.

Anyways, for me because the song is actually sung for a relationship that is in a toxic situation and there is the one who is fighting for it, while the other one had just accepted that her partner is no longer changing and just waiting for the time that he can let go.

Hello Hive Open Community! It's good to be back and participating in another challenge with the topic "Fight Oppression." Due to my severe illness and terrible voice last week, I was unable to participate in the previous competition. I've just made the decision to put my health first and take a break from blogging. Thankfully, my voice has stopped being scratchy, so I can sing again. I'd like to share a song with you for this week's challenge that I just recently learnt. We Gotta Pray is the name of Alicia Keys' song. Actually, it was difficult for me to select a song that fit the theme because most of the ones I did find were sung by men, and my voice couldn't manage their ranges. Hello, Hive Open Mic Community! Happy Saturday to everyone who is here today and will be reading or watching my content again. It was stated in the original post for the #133 challenge that the challenge only ran until the 29th day. I want to submit my entry by Monday because I still have a lot of university work to accomplish. However, since schools were closed in the Philippines due to the bad weather, I had the chance to produce this content. Anyway, this week's theme is about opportunity. Once again, I struggled to find a song because I knew very little about other music. Fortunately, I came across Jordan Sparks' song on YouTube and chose to release my cover of it. Jordan Sparks wrote a song titled "This is my Now." I experienced a powerful emotion as I was performing this song. I have the impression that I wrote this music.

I believe that this sentence resonates with a lot of individuals, including myself. I saw numerous opportunities for myself when I was younger. But that eventually vanished because I lacked confidence and self-esteem. That was when I first realized how toxic other people were. Even your own family members may present a barrier to your ability to seize possibilities. Additionally, there are some who will detest you, which will make you feel even more insecure.

I came to the realization that I must grab the opportunities that fate presents to me as I grew older. This time, I learnt to think beyond the box and demonstrate to everyone my abilities in those areas. Because of the difficulties I have faced in life, I am thankful for how they have shaped me to be a risk-taker. I can now say that I am grateful for the few folks that stick around and help me develop into a strong and positive version of myself with each opportunity I perceive and take advantage of. 🍀🍀🍀

Hello, Hive Open Mic Community! What's up, everyone? I'm back with a new presentation for the 132nd challenge this week, which has as its theme "Women Life Freedom." Anyhow, the song's name is Reflection. This song is from the Disney film Mulan, and I'm so happy that Lea Salonga, a singer from the Philippines, was chosen to sing it back in 1998. Because Christina Aguillera also recorded a rendition of this song for her debut single in 1999, you may have heard her perform it as well.

I feel as though I'm comparing myself to the song's theme while I sing it. From a young age till adulthood, I became aware of how those close to me sometimes control me. It's unfortunate that there are some things I can't do as a woman because others try to tell me what I should do. It's depressing because I feel like I've lost the right to appreciate and pursue my interests simply because I'm a mother at a young age. One of the things that contribute to my lack of motivation is when other ladies advise me to limit my actions just because I had a child. I feel as if I have lost the drive to reveal who I truly am as a result of the criticism I receive from toxic relatives and my fellow ladies. I simply attempted to keep my personality a secret from others and create various characters according to the people I encounter.

Others will begin focusing on your defects as the core of your personality and this will be the only thing they will use to hurt you.

Greetings Hive Open Mic Community! It's me, @Usagidee and I am back for another entry for this 131st Oppen Mic Challenge with a very engaging concept, "Orgullo Patrio" which means national pride in English.

I first struggled to come up with a song for this, but fortunately, while I was looking through what may be performed for this week, I came across a piece of music that was unquestionably a wonderful fit for this challenge. The song I selected was "Pagbangon," performed by well-known singer Julie Ann San Jose. The words "getting up" and "rising" are the English translations of this song. This is actually made for our loving countrymen who are on the frontlines since they are the ones we consider to be modern heroes, especially now that the Covid-19 pandemic is still spreading.

I can attest to the severity of the struggles faced by those on the front lines when the pandemic tested us for years. They were separated from their family for several months or perhaps years, and some of them passed away from the illness Covid-19. I have seen how hard fate has tested them up to this point, but I can also tell that many of us admire persons of this kind. I can affirm that our Front liners throughout the pandemic were a source of today's pride for our country. Many of our people stop believing in Covid-19, but I will always be grateful to the doctors, nurses, volunteers, and other police officers and soldiers who continue to provide their unique services to the best of their abilities.

Again, I'd like to dedicate this song not only to our country's frontliners, but to all of the frontliners out there who are striving to help other people and children and giving their life for the cause of all people. We are extremely proud of you, front-liners!

Greetings Hive Open Mic Community! I am @Usagidee and once again, I am here to submit an entry regarding in the 130th theme, "Creativity and Freestyle", initiated by @onos-f. For this week's entry, I sang the song, "Stay" by Rihanna featuring Mikky Ekko.

To be absolutely honest, I have no idea what type of voice I have. My church's music director always included me in the group of soprano women when I was a young girl. He complimented my voice on its ability to hit high pitch notes. I've noticed how my voice gradually changes as I get older. As of now, I can easily reach high and low tones with my voice. Even though I don't know anything about music, I believe that my voice can be both a contralto and a mezzo-soprano.

Anyway, I would appreciate any comments if you know something about these classifications and I would be very thankful if you can help me figure out what type of voice I do really have.

Regarding the theme of creativity and freestyle, I selected the Rihanna song Stay because every time I sing it, I can hear how distinctive my voice is. It appears as though I can imitate any voice. If you were to watch my "Safe and Sound" cover again, you would notice that I sung the song in a light soprano, just like Taylor Swift did. You would also be able to hear how I used my contralto voice while I sing this Rihanna song today. In truth, I adore my voice. This inspires me so strongly to try to sing any kind of music.

Hello Hive Open Mic Community! It's me again, @Usagidee and for the 129th challenge with the theme, Trust, I would like to showcase again my talent as well as my key takeaways while singing this song. Again, thank you very much Hive Open Mic for the continuous support every time that I will be joining your weekly challenges here. Due to the continuous support, I am more than happy to share and also give encouragement to all the hive users who also have hidden talents in music. For this week, I sang one of the great songs from the movie The Greatest Showman. Its title is "A Million Dreams" and the artist who sang it is Hugh Jackman, Michelle Williams and Ziv Zaifman.

The song "A Million Dreams" is about positivism, having big dreams, and having faith in oneself. All of these things, as you can see, necessitate trust. If you have trust in yourself, you'll have the courage to overcome any challenges that God may present. Keep in mind that you must first trust yourself before you can trust others. Because if you don't, not even yourself will let you be cordial and generous. Self-trust is a really effective tool and a wonderful investment in yourself. Your confidence and independence increase the more you trust your inner self.

I have rediscovered my faith in God through these difficult times. In life, we occasionally fail to express our gratitude to Him. But we constantly put the blame on God when something goes wrong. God was the only one I spoke to when I had almost nowhere to go. I learn to trust the process in this way. We may at times in our lives question God as to why he has presented us with this issue. However, if we understand that God is an excellent planner, we can comprehend everything. Simply having faith in Him will cause Him to deliver us the sign. And, in God's perfect timing, we shall understand why this is the mission He has given us. ❤

Howdy, Howdy Hive Open Mic Community! Due to the presence of Typhoon Florita, the weather in our country is now not pleasant. Because of this, finding a reliable internet connection might be challenging in some areas. Even in my city, it's raining and very windy, so I'm not sure when I can submit this cover. Fortunately, despite having a poor internet connection, I still found the time to edit and produce a song video for this week.

Anyway, because there are no classes for two days, I used that opportunity to create my music video for this week's challenge, which had the topic of "Moonshine."
