Chronically Well Creativity is a safe and serene space to discuss our relationship with creativity, and explore how to channel this side of ourselves into living better lives. After working in academia for ten years, I suffered an extreme burnout, and decided that something had to change. Follow me on my journey from working in academia to starting anew. I will be exploring what it means to make big transitions in your life, and how to navigate a world where we are defined by things such as our job titles, our family roles, etc.
I look forward to going on this journey with you all x
In this episode, I talk about the tricky business of setting boundaries around our art, and being able to say 'no' to people. I also introduce Julia Cameron's beautiful daily ritual - Morning Pages.
In this episode, I talk about the worldwide burnout culture, and how we can fight against it to live better and more fulfilled lives.
After suffering from horrendous burnout whilst battling severe endometriosis, I was forced to take a step back from my life and re-assess. I realised that I was living too fast in an industry that was particularly toxic, and where people are treated as commodities, and not living, breathing, creative individuals. We owe ourselves more. We owe ourselves happiness, and the chance to tap into who we truly are. I believe that our true selves can be harnessed through our creative pursuits - writing, painting, knitting, acting, etc!
Chronically Well Creativity is a safe and serene space to discuss our relationship with creativity, and explore how to channel this side of ourselves into living better lives. I will be offering monthly podcasts and fortnightly tutorials where I discuss transitioning into a creative life, and the challenges that I have come across during the process. There will be snippets of discussions about battling chronic illness, and how society benefits from treating workers as commodities. I will address the good, the bad and the ugly sides of living this way, whilst creating content that inspires you to tap into your creative spirit and live a more wholesome life.
I hope you enjoy what I'm doing here! I'm currently navigating this process myself, so I am extremely excited about starting this journey.
