The Tricky Triangle had a ton of action for the NASCAR world to talk about. There was no love lost between Kyle Larson and Denny Hamlin from Pocono. Who's side are you on? What about Austin Dillon and his helmet toss? Joey Logano versus the track workers? Will and Jacob talk about it all.
While Cup and Trucks were at Richmond, the Xfinity Series went to Road America. How about the first race on a fresh repave? Plus all the action you could want in a single lap happened with two laps to go.
The Trucks raced on Saturday night, and it looked like Ty Majeski had the truck to beat. However, unfortunate penalties and strategy calls cost him the win. Instead, Carson Hocevar took home the win. But do we believe Carson when he says he has matured?
On to Sunday: Will and Jacob talk about race winner Chris Buesher, and what do we do about Richmond? Will the recent tests at Richmond help the racing there?
Plus, can Kevin Harvick win a race in his final season?

Will Porter and Jacob Simpson reunite for this late-week edition of The Scoring Pylon. This time they get a little dirty into the details of the Cup race on Easter Sunday at Bristol Dirt.
The big question is: Where does the series go from here? And from there, the other questions loom large. Should they race on dirt moving forward? Should it continue to be at Bristol? Plus what other questions lurk in the topic of conversation?
As you can already tell, there will be more discussion about the race as an event, rather than what happened in the race that just passed. But it's a conversation unique to the circumstances just like the surface of Bristol was. It is a very entertaining episode of The Scoring Pylon!

There were quite a few instances of brilliance from drivers and some performances that left more to be desired from some of the veterans in the field. Will and Jacob break those down as well.

This race was the first of several that will showcase a new short track and road course package. Was the racing any different? Did it help or hurt the on-track product? Will it be different at other short tracks or even on road courses?
And finally, Will believes it is time to talk about FOX. Specifically, the broadcast and the things that should be rectified. What are they exactly? The NASCAR season is finally upon us as the Cup Series descended upon The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum for the second running of The Clash. Will Porter and Jacob Simpson are here to break down the on track action, as well as look ahead to what the future of the event may behold.
Before the races, cars hit the track for practice and qualifying. One car in particular, piloted by rookie Ty Gibbs, spontaneously combusted while running practice laps. Is this going to be a trend moving forward or was this incident isolated?
From the drop of the green flag for the heat races, there was evidence of more aggression from the field than we saw in 2022. Was this a product of experience with the car and the track being familiar to the teams? Or was there more urgency to make the main?
Beginning the day before in practice and qualifying, as the racing moved into the night, tires and track temperature would become main themes throughout the weekend. Did these things make any difference in the main event?
In the main, we saw two completely different segments: one tame, another chaotic. Apart from breaking down all the happenings on track, what would or even should change about the event moving forward?
And finally, all throughout the weekend, there were rumblings about the coliseum hosing a points race in the future. What would that look like logistically? Could it work? Would it even be a legitimate race?

Before we could get into some on track action, NASCAR made a few adjustments to their rules for the upcoming season. And with that, Will Porter and Jacob Simpson come to break them down point by point.
A major change at road courses will be no more stage breaks. What does this mean for team strategy?
There are a few new things to keep an eye on while on pit road. Are there going to be new pit stop interference penalties? How about the updated loose wheel penalties?
Speaking of wheels, new wet tires during damp race conditions will be available at certain race tracks this year. Is this a good thing? What does it mean for racing at these tracks? Will we even see them be used?
Other on track items to watch will also will include the wider restart zone for the first 5 races of the season, the new wording in the NASCAR rulebook essentially banning a similar move to Ross Chastain's memorable Hail Melon wall ride at Martinsville, and the Damaged Vehicle Policy getting an extension. What will it all mean? And will any of it really come to be relevant or put into practice?
Off the race track, the points requirement for playoff eligibility has been removed across all premier series in NASCAR. Will it end up mattering when the playoffs roll around? Oh, and the drivers meeting will be back, if only for 10 minutes before the driver introductions at every race.
To cap this episode of the show off? A preview of The Clash at the Coliseum, Part II. Can Joey Logano win it again? Who can spoil the party? Will round two be as good as the first? Only time will tell.
