There needs to be an equilibrium between life and work and sometimes we cross the line and simply forget to enjoy living. Working in IT makes it so that I am living a high amount of my time in the digital space, but being outdoors can be much more fulfilling. And while I was working in my DYI office at home, one of my friends sent me a movie while he was hiking through the mountains through abundant snow. Don't get me wrong, he is trained for this and doing it regularly, thus is quite fit for such challenges, but that's pretty awesome to force yourself and push forward regardless of nature's moods.
I miss going outdoors more as well, probably when the weather will turn around I will do that more.

I had a long weekend from Friday until Sunday and spent it mostly outdoors in the mountains. While I didn't see much snow this winter and couldn't enjoy skiing, at least I've tried something new and went and had some fun on the bobsleigh. With almost 2 kilometers of curves and G forces and a speed of up to 45 kilometers per hour, it indeed gave me some thrills. The same way that the crypto seems to move these days, up and down, left and right, never know what will be on the next corner. Always hoping for something good! :)

It is the weekend, Saturday, and I am pretty lazy today to put my brain to work and create some content. Instead, I've taken this time to play with my German Shepherd which is named Ares and he wishes you a playful 2023, while he enjoys some fun.
Sometimes we simply need to take a breath, put the crypto on pause and enjoy life as it is. And we will be amazed at how much fun we can have and recharge ourselves. And while I've enjoyed playing with Ares, I came to the conclusion that the best therapist in the world has fur and four legs.

Crypto never sleeps is true and when we are waking up we can see if it went up or down. At the same time, if we put it at work through different mechanisms like staking, DeFi, and savings, we will wake up with more assets in our wallets. But unfortunately for me due to my work sometimes at night I don't sleep either and watch the world from above while traveling. For some reason, I cannot sleep on the go so usually, I catch up with movies and TV series, but also write some articles on my phone and take some videos outside the airplane window. And seeing the moon, I thought immediately of WEN MOON, WEN MOON??? and took this video.
But the MOON didn't yet answer me as it still dominating the night and is not ready yet to let its police to the SUN. But hope and dreams are what pushes us forward and I am sure better times will come. Until that happens we can just HODL and put our assets to work while we sleep or... travel. I am finding myself again traveling for work and while this is inconvenient and sometimes I feel like giving up, I am getting some good energy and vibes by simply flying over the world problems and the crypto winter which encumbered the entire Earth. Being in an airplane the mind simply looks for new ways of expression as it feels the freedom of the thin air. And while having not too much to do, I took the time on looking over the window and seeing some clear skies I decided to snap a movie out of them, and from the incredible speed with which the airplane brakes the clouds. With all that power I am hoping that we will be able to break the crypto winter and bring peace to the world in order for humanity to find its purpose once again and build a better world!

As the story goes the Peacor Conjurer descended from Heaven to fight the Chaos Legion in order to save the Splinterlands world. The angel wings give it the flying ability that has an increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks and while knowing white magic it can reflect any such damage and inflict pain to the attacker. And when a Low Mana battle rise on the horizon, I knew I had to put the Peacor Conjurer as the first line of defense. And even though it rose from Heaven, it brought Hell and fire over the enemy hoards.
My team formation that won decisivly the fight was as follows:
- Peacor Conjurer - opened the formation with Flying and Magic reflect capabilities
- Silvershield Warrior - followed in line with Reach ability attacking from the second position
- Peacebringer - performed 3 damage whenever it could from the middle of the formation
- Feral Spirit - attacked monster from the back lines having the sneak ability
- Silvershield Bard - cleansed the Peacor Conjurer from any negative effects
- Furious Chicken - was thrown last in the formation to distract the enemies

Feral Spirits are living in the space between worlds and are troubled by their cravenness as a monster and fighting as heroes for those they are loyal to. These spirits do not hunger or thirst, but their fangs still bite and their claws still slash. When summoned they strike and hardly miss which makes them the perfect weapons on the battlefields from the dangerous Splinterlands.
The battle that I am sharing with you had the mana upped for all the monsters so I needed to put a little a big of thinking when choosing and positioning the cards on the battlefield, similar to a game of chess.
- The Furios Chicken was put on the frontline to deceive the opponents and it held the ling pretty good.
- The Creeping Ooze was the next inline and it helped to reduce the speed of all enemy monsters while protecting the next card on the able.
- The Feral Spirit was well protected and with its Sneak ability to target the back enemy lines, surely did its job and cleaned up any monsters that were put there as a way to protect them.
- The Divine Healer worked the most and ensure healing the first line monster round after round. Having as well magic power he destroyed the enemy much faster as it bypassed the shield.
- The Divine Sorceress closed the line while it ignored the first hit received. As well with the magic power and bypassing the shield of the opponents, it did some important damage.
The Feral Spirits are powerful creatures, low mana requirements and make important damage on the battlefields. A card that is a must in lower mana battles. Come invoke them on the battlefields from the Splinterlands!

The Stone Golem, even if it was created from inanimate matter like clay, mud and stone to the surface, was brought to life and animated once he got in front of the army on the Splinterlands battlefields. Many would say that the golem was brought to life in order to be controlled and even if that is true, for sure it makes a deadly and forceful monster in the wars from this realm. With his enormous stature and being of stone, he simply terrifies the challengers and petrifies them all!
Stone Golem opens and holds the front line with a Shield in his hand to reduce the Melee and Ranged attacks. This together with a majestic stone shape makes the afraid opponents wanna run away.
The Minotaur Warrior has the Reach ability that makes it the perfect weapon to attack from the second position. Mystic creatures are doing Malee damage everywhere they can.
The Magi of the Forest gives a powerful and robust magic attack, bringing considerable damage.
The Wood Nymph is well protected by the other monsters and from within it restores a portion of the Stone Golem life being in the first line. One monster that cannot be missed from an Earth formation as its Tank Heal always comes in handy.
The back of the line is held by Brownie that brings increased speed to the friendly monsters and by the Creeping Ooze that reduces the speed of all enemy monsters. Both of them together give a double effect.
While the opponents were not as significant as the army I have put together, it is clear that the Stone Golem is a strong front line in the Earth formation. Being at its core a Golem it purpose is to serve the master of the Precious and it swears on it to do so! Come join the battle in the Splinterlands!

A Goblin Shaman was asked what is poison? The answer came quickly as anything beyond what we need is poison. It can be power, laziness, food, ego, ambition, vanity, fear, anger or whatever. This is why the Goblin Shaman of the Smoldering Forest are especially skilled in slowing and reducing the health of their enemies with enchantments by using their weaknesses against stem. On top of that they can hypnotize with a simple gaze from their blood-red eyes.
In the Splinterlands world where Fire is the hunter, my friend, there’s no time for regrets or doubts. There is only time for decisions and with that in mind I have thrown all my Fire fighters in the ring.
The Pit Ogre put fear in the enemies and made them stun on the battlefield by delivering fast and increased Melee attacks.
The Kobold Miner followed in line with high attack on the last enemy lines.
The Fire Demon does hell damage to the targeted monsters and the one adjacent to him, what more could you want from a powerful fire ball….
The Zalran Efreet joins the fight and when does damage, its health increases. It also removes the negative effects on the first monster and strengthens the army.
The Serpentine Soldier can doge attacks and delivers high melee strikes.
The Goblin Shaman completes the army and reduces the healthy of all opponents and as well makes them slow. It gave a deadly strike and I think it can be second to last in future battles.
This is my battle with the Fire squad and the Goblin Shaman. Still searching for the best formation, but until than I will take any victory I can.

Elven, be cutthroat and cunning, think like a netherling queen! And this is how Elven Cutthroat was born in the darkness of the forest amongst other elves. This monster of the forest masters the art of knives and can while morphing with the surroundings, he can get the last monster on the enemy lines. Camouflaged by the surroundings, along with a deadly knife it will cutthroat you in a blink of an eye if you are not protecting yourself.
The battle that I've taken with Elven Cutthroat involved the Earth Summoner as the forest protects these monsters the best. As I have not leveled up any Elven Cutthroat and was part of the playable monsters, I've put it in the last lines to give it a try. While it didn't do or resist too many attacks, it proved to be a good warrior if upgraded to higher levels.
The army was led by Lyanna Nature, a rare Earth summoner that inspires its warriors and enchanted them with an additional +1 Health.
The Flesh Golem held the first line having the Heal ability each round.
The Goblin Thief followed in line and attack the last line monsters from the enemy team.
The Minotaur Warrior brought some fear to the enemy through its appearance and powerful strike.
The Wood Nymph couldn't be missing from the army with its Tank Heal that provided additional strength to the Flesh Golem.
Elven Cutthroat and Failed Summoner protect the backline until the front monster took the victory, which was not easy.
The fight was not easy, but it brought victory in the end. Splinterlands battlefields are as forceful as can be, so knowing your fighters, putting their information where they are best suited, and knowing the rules of the battle can make the difference between winning and losing. Master that and you'll be invincible in the Splinterlands wars!

It simply isn't a story worth telling if it is not about dragons. And from the dark depths of the sea, both Water and Magic Dragons have surfaced and stormed into the work more hungry than ever. They've posted a flock of Life warriors or rather mercenaries and they were easy prey for the magical creatures arising from the core of the Earth through Watter.
The Dragons army was led by Daria Dragonscale which summoned the largest and fiercest Dragons along with getting under her spell some powerful Water Monsters.
The Robo-Dragon Knight got in front of the army through its enormous shield and life mana harvested through robotics and genetic manipulation. This monster stands its ground and held the front line without a drop of sweat.
The Manticore followed in line with its powerful thorns while being a cross bread between a Dragon, a Lion, and a Scorpion and using all these abilities in his favor.
From the Water the Medusa, Ruler of the Seas and Crustacean King have joined the army and making great magic damage while giving extra armor (+2) to the entire army and as well restoring a portion of the monster in first position each round.
A dragon that is deadly completes the army on the battlefield and it is the Black Dragon, Korjack. Korjack is greater in size by far than all other living Dragons, and he could rule them all if he had the ambition, but he just prefers to increase his life each time it hits an adversary.
The Dragons of the Sea as I call it is a formation that makes any other army tremble and often runs from the battlefield. With such warriors, the victory is just a matter of time!

When the Haunted Spiders unite, they can tie up a lion in their webs. This is why these insects with their armored thorax and projectile venom are one of the most massive and formidable enemies in any battle surrounded by darkness and death. When they attach they can inflict poison which determines the affected monster to take damage at the beginning of each round after the poison spreads through its body and soul.
The battle that I fought was performed with the Death Monsters squad in the Gold I League. It is a rather standard formation that I use and it has some maxed summoners and monsters.
The army of Death monsters is lead by the Haunted Spirit as it can Heal, has Magic Reflect and Void for reduced Magic attacks. The Twisted Jester comes in the second place as it can Dodge and also has the Snipe ability. The Haunted Spider is well placed in the middle from where it poisons all the monsters it can reach. The Skeleton Assassin comes to Sneak and applies Poison as well for a deadly attack. The Skeletal Warrior stays on the behind line as it has Reduced damage and can fortify the formation. The Furious Chicken is just cannon fodder for the enemy formation to protect the other monsters from a hit.
When you are fighting against the Haunted Spiders you just can't get away, you can't escape. You'll jump through a plate-glass window several times and end up being right back in the spider's web.

Crystal Jaguar, what a mighty name for fierce stalk-and-ambush predators at the top of their food chain, considering that they don't have any predators in the wild. When they attack the entire earth trembles and the prey feels that there is no escape for them.
This is why I have started the battle with the Crystal Jaguar in the first position making use of its Thorns that do damage back to the atacker when hit with a Malee atack.
The second position was taken by the Luminous Eagle due to its Reach that allows attacking from second position and Flying to evade Melee and Ranged atacks while the Crystal Jaguar holds the line. The Mantoid follows in line with 3 arch ranged atack that should do some real damage from the middle. The Silvershield Archers complete the formation and the Furious Chicken stays in the back to capture one hit.
This is the formation with which I have won the battle, while the Crystal Jaguar lead the pack. While they didn't kill with their fierce bite, for sure they held the line, did some damage and throned the adversaries. And in the end everything was worth it as the fight was victoriuous!

Filecoin is a a decentralized storage network and has just launched the Mainnet on October 15, 2020.
I just grabbed the introductory video from their website (https://filecoin.io/) to present how a decentralized storage network is envisioned to be working, what mining options are available and how those are working and what other specific options are to Filecoin.
I was always intrigued by the storage solutions in blockchains and the market seems to bring more and more solutions which creates competitivity and grabs a big piece from the big players - Amazon, Google and Microsoft. This video should be introductory enough for anyone interested in this domain and I will try to come with a follow-up post with more details, mining node costs and other options on trading or staking Filecoin tokens.
