Joshua and Biff plan for their journey. Maggie asks Joshua to meet her on the night before her wedding. Biff goes instead.
Biff and Josh go to the Passover in Jerusalem. On the way, they meet up briefly with Maggie and rescue their brothers from a baptism. Biff swears off of lamb.
Biff and Joshua try out their plan to get Joseph released before he’s crucified by Roman soldiers.
Biff gets some time away from Raziel. The two boys and their friend Maggie are witnesses to something terrible. Joseph goes to jail. Biff gets a message he doesn’t understand.
Josh and Biff start their work in Sepphoris. They learn the principles of stone cutting, offend a Greek, and make a soldier laugh. Faced with graven images, they decide to convert a god to Judaism.
Biff finds a book about his own time. The boys attend a funeral. Joshua raises the dead. Raziel brings the good news of Joshua’s birth (he’s only 10 years late). The village idiot provides comfort. Biff gets jealous.
Biff reflects on Josh’s miracles. The boys meet Maggie, the Magdalene, and befriend a cobra.
