The North Central Designer of the Year Competition takes place in the Ag-Hort Building September 2-3, 2026! Sandy Schroeck coordinates the competition - including the live "iron chef" style competition that takes place on the only Wednesday of the fair. The theme for the overall competition this year is Garden Party Glam!

Emilie is a third generation caretaker of the Minnesota Territorial Pioneers Cabin, which has been present on the fairgrounds since 1897! You can stop by this history museum during the fair and learn about early European settler-colonists in the State of Minnesota.
