Exit the matrix with me. Earlier this year I quit my 9-5 to spend a year traveling around the world. I’m trying to get more in touch with my higher self by bringing awareness to old stories that are no longer serving me and by seeking out new ideas to expand my perspective about what’s possible. To keep myself motivated and inspired, I listen to podcasts about self growth, spirituality, relationships, wellness, alternative lifestyles, plant medicine, and the mysteries of the universe. My intention is to share the things I’m discovering with you, whether it be from the podcasts I listen to or from conversations I have with friends or the people I’m meeting as I’m traveling. I hope that the things that are empowering me will resonate with you too in some way. I appreciate you taking time to listen!
In this episode Nina and I talk about attachment theory and how attachment styles affect our actions in relationships. We discuss things she’s learned about the different attachment types from the book Bad Boyfriends: Using Attachment Theory to Avoid Mr. (or Mrs.) Wrong and Make You a Better Partner by Jeb Kinnison.
Dalma and I discuss how to set standards and communicate when dating. Recorded last year, but the advice still holds true, so I’m sharing now.
And as promised, an update — she and the guy she was dating did get that beer. :)

In this episode I share my goals for the upcoming year.
When I talk about my wellness goals, I mention this episode of Erick Godsey’s podcast: Sarah Sullivan’s Myth, The Myths That Make Us
I used to be super indecisive, but learning how to listen to my intuition has helped me trust myself more and make better decisions.
In this episode I talk about what intuition is and how it feels in your body. I also share some exercises for strengthening your connection to it.
I reference these two YouTube videos:
I also mention some practices for strengthening intuition that I learned from my life coach Benita Conde. You can learn more about her at: https://www.createradicallove.com/
In this episode I share an essay about why I turned away from Catholicism. I felt inspired to reflect on this topic after listening to Erick Godsey and Aubrey talk about faith on episode #296 of the Aubrey Marcus Podcast. The quote was about faith versus dogma and when faith helps versus when it hinders our search for truth.
In this episode Alli and I talk about gratitude, generosity, love, and setting boundaries.
