Holy Week 2021 is going to be a repeat of 2020, which makes it unique and special. Unique ad special because it's gonna need a bit more effort on our part to immerse ourselves in the Mystery of Christ's Passion, Death, and Resurrection.
Hopefully this convo with God would give you ideas on how to make this event spiritually fruitful. We're about to enter the Climax of God's love for humanity... Forget about "humanity", it's going to be the Climax of God's love for You.
"I am troubled now. Yet what should i say? 'Father, save me from this hour'? But it was for this purpose that I came to this hour."... This tention within Jesus' heart sums up his love for us. Yes, his love. Humanly speaking these words portray fear, anxiety, a troubled heart. But isn't it true that love is most manifested authentically during these difficult emotional states, isn't it true that the Authenticity of words of Love is most palpable when applied and carried out in difficult situations?
It may appear to us, many times, that our sins, our faults, our shortcomings are tragic realities in our lives as followers of Christ. But isn't it also true that if we receive them well, they could be life changing for the good. Sometimes God allows this blindness, this darkness, so that in it we may discover a whole new World of God's Grace.
