Something hits the boat, causing it to toss and shift violently, the waves splashing, and the knuckles that grip the oars and the side of the boat turn white with a cold fear. Tonight, the waters of the rio are darker than usual, something is here with us, we have never been alone.

There is a distinctive shadow forming close to the boat. As we get closer, you hear it suddenly, a faint weep. We get closer, closer, the weeping turning into mournful wails and it is when we see her, as though formed out of the mists.
