I did something cool the other day — something I'd been trying to do for ages. And the second I pulled it off, I clocked two things worth sharing with you.

This one's quick, but it's got a proper point (well, two): why doing cool stuff for its own sake tends to inspire people whether you mean it to or not, and why it genuinely doesn't matter if a goal takes you thirteen years instead of thirteen months.

Muscle-ups, Ironman, and the goals you've quietly given up on. Let's dive in.

Any guest is special, but today I have an extra special guest on the pod. We talk about how our parenting affects our children, but also how the parenting we experienced, whether good or not so good, affects us well into adulthood. The way we form relationships as adults depends a lot on how our parents cared for us. The good news, spoiler alert, is that we can relearn behaviours and we can learn to build better, more stable relationships, whatever happened to us.

We go into rupture and repair.

I get loved up in this podcast.

Your relationship with your kids might be the most important thing you build in your life. Grades? Good. Achievements? Great. but there's one thing that trumps it all. The relationship.

This week we're diving deep into parenting and the importance of your relationship with your kids. Why it matters, how to do it well, and what Gordon Neufeld and Gabor Maté's book "Hold On to Your Kids" teaches us about being our children's compass.

Sadly, kids today are increasingly attaching to their peers instead of their parents. They look to other teenagers for direction on values, identity, and how to behave. The problem is that peers are not equipped to serve as a compass. At all. In any way! It's the blind leading the blind.

Your job is to be the compass point. The one they turn to for meaning, purpose, and security. Not their mates.

My two daughters are poles apart (one just like me, one a complete mystery), they've both taught me about me in differenbt ways. parenting has forced me to grow in emotional capacity, and why we're really just fletchers sending arrows into the world.

Plus: why your relationship with your spouse must come first, the concept of "good enough" parenting from Donald Winnicott, biblical wisdom on not exasperating your children, and practical ways to invest in your kids from Joshua Sheats.

Whether you have biological children or are investing in the next generation as a spiritual parent, this episode is for you.

The second most important decision you'll ever make is who you marry. (The first? I'll reveal that at the end.)

This week we're diving into marriage—why it matters, how to choose well, and what the research actually says about living together before marriage.

The data is fascinating: married people live 2.2 years longer, are twice as likely to be very happy, and recover from illness faster. But couples who live together before being engaged are 48% more likely to divorce. The timing of commitment matters.

I'm making the case for marrying young (I married my wife at 22), addressing the "independent woman" narrative that's left many in their mid-30s lonely and regretting their choices, and talking about how to know if someone's "the one."

Plus: the difference between sliding vs deciding, why character matters more than chemistry, and how to grow together instead of growing apart.

Whether you're single and want to marry, dating, engaged, or already married, this episode will challenge how you think about the most important relationship decision you'll make.

Hit me up on Instagram or email if you've got marriage stories or questions to share.

It takes a long time to make old friends. So you'd better start now.

This week we're diving into friendship. What makes a good friend, how to actually see your mates more often, and why CS Lewis and JRR Tolkien met twice a week for 20 years to read their unfinished work to each other.

We're covering the desire/outcome mismatch (you want to see friends more but life gets in the way), why you need friends in every decade of life, and the biblical warning about bad company corrupting good character.

Plus, practical tips: stop just hanging around the park having interrupted chats. Do something together. Go karting, hiking, camping, or share a meal. Activity creates connection.

Whether you've got loads of mates or struggle to make friends as an adult, this episode will challenge you to be more intentional about the relationships that might just be the most important factor in living life to the full.

Shwmae! Welcome to the start of our brand new series on relational health. We've covered financial health, physical health, and mental health. Now it's time to talk about the element that might matter most: our relationships.

The person you spend most time with is you. You're always there. You can't escape you. You're there when you wake up, there at every meal, even the ones you eat on your own in the office. You're there when you go to the gym, when you go to work, when you go to bed. Many of us struggle with having a good relationship with ourselves (some of us don't!) so in today's episode, I look at how to get better at looking after ourselves and developing a good relationship with ourselves along with tips and unsolicited advice for people like me who's battle is more to do with over confidence and too much love for oneself!

If you’ve ever felt resistance towards people who encourage you to niche down or to just choose one thing and stick with it, this is the episode for you.

Society tries to perpetuate the myth that we all have One True Calling and that once we figure out what that is, we will find true fulfilment and everything will be wonderful. As wonderful as that sounds and as great as it can be for some people who knew from the time they were 2, all they wanted to be was an accountant and now they're living the accounting dream, some of us are wired differently.

Some of us don't have One True Calling. Some of us are called to more than that. Some of us are called to be fadders, multipotentialites, scanners. Some of us are called to be all the things.

Let's find out How To Be Everthing.

Over the last few weeks, I've been interviewing people who have struggled with their mental health in order to get an insight into how to tackle mental health struggles.

Join in if you want.

Today I sit down with my mate Ed Moss, who has struggled with debilitating OCD, which has made his life miserable at times. The constant grind of battling with your thoughts is something neither of us wish on anyone. But there is hope at the end of the tunnel. Through a combination of CBT, prayer, a supportive wife and Ed's willingness to learn and lean into discomfort, he has come through three serious bouts of OCD.

Ed and I both go to the same church so there's a bit of an assumption about church and the Christian life that is built into the conversation but it is fascinating even if you don't share our faith.

In this episode, I share The Parable of the Mexican Fisherman, a story that challenges our obsession with hustling, scaling, and striving for more. Through this simple tale, we’ll explore what it really means to live a full and rich life, and why we so often postpone joy, waiting for “one day.”

This summer my wife and I celebrated 20 years of marriage. We actually did celebrate! We went out for dinner, something we don't do often! After twenty years of marriage, there have been plenty of hard-won lessons I've learned about what it really takes to build love that lasts. This isn't a list of marriage tips or romantic ideals - it's an honest conversation about the daily choices, difficult seasons, and small victories that create marriages worth having.

From choosing wisely at the start to deciding daily to stay committed, this episode shares the practical wisdom that's kept our marriage strong through two decades of real life. I talk openly about the times we wondered if we'd make it, the mistakes I've made, and what I've observed in marriages that thrive versus those that struggle.

Whether you're newly married, celebrating decades together, single and hoping for marriage someday, or walking through the pain of divorce, this episode offers hope and practical insight for anyone who believes that real love is worth the long road it takes to build it.

Topics covered:

  • Why marriage can be doing you good even when it's not making you happy
  • The power of words (and why you should never criticise your spouse to others)
  • Money, intimacy, and other areas that can make or break a relationship
  • The most important decision you can make if you want to stay married
  • Why taking the long view changes everything
  • A compassionate word for those who've experienced divorce

This episode contains honest discussion about marriage challenges and is intended for mature listeners.

What if the whole concept of retirement is built on a lie? In this episode, I share why I walked away from a stable teaching career and why I'll never "retire" - even though I'm earning less money and have less predictable income than ever before.

Most people spend decades grinding through work they don't love, telling themselves they'll find freedom and fulfillment after they retire. But what if you could have both now? I explore how the desire to retire actually reveals that your current life isn't aligned with your values, and why the real question isn't "when can I retire?" but "how can I design a life I never want to retire from?"

When I left teaching to pursue entrepreneurship, I learnt a bunch of stuff. I break down how this shift affected all five areas of health - financial, physical, mental, relational, and spiritual. You'll discover why trading security for purpose led to a deeper relationship with God, and practical steps to start living with more freedom today.

If you've ever felt trapped by the "work now, live later" mentality, this episode will challenge you to rethink what true financial independence really means and how to start building it now.

Retire Often puts words to a concept I've been philosophising about for years. Why wait until you're 65 (or 72) to do all the cool stuff you wanted to do when you were still working? Why not retire often and hike the Camino, renovate a rental property, bikepack accross Europe, all whilst you're still young and fit enough to enjoy it. You never know how much time you have left on the Earth so life Life to the Full.

Today on the podcast, I talk to Jillian Johnsrud, a mini retirement expert who became financially independent at 32 and has been coaching and mentoring people to make a lifestyle choice to retire often for the last decade.

We all want to design a life that we don't want to retire from. We want freedom to do the things that we want with the people we want.

That can only happen if you have these two things. Financial Slack and Time Slack.

This is the audio from an underrated YouTube video I made a few years ago. You can find the actual video here. 👇

You’d never say you support slavery. Of course not. That would be ludicrous.

But here’s the uncomfortable truth: many of us are living like slaves.

Slaves to money.
Slaves to status.
Slaves to self.

Which one are you a slave to?

What if the shops shut tomorrow? What if your power went out for days? What if your money stopped working the way it’s supposed to?

In this episode of Life to the Full, we explore prepping for non-preppers—a calm, thoughtful introduction to physical preparedness for everyday people. No bunkers. No panic. Just simple, practical steps to help you and your family feel more secure in uncertain times.

We look at real-world examples of economic collapse and hyperinflation (think Weimar Germany, Argentina, Zimbabwe), and reflect on what really matters when systems fail: food, water, shelter, energy, and community. I share some personal experiments and stories, and unpack why being prepared isn’t about fear—it’s about peace.

Whether you’re curious about how to start storing food, filtering water, or just want to feel more ready for job loss, power cuts, or the unexpected—this episode will give you a helpful starting point.

Topics include:

  • What history teaches us about hyperinflation and resilience
  • Why farmers thrived during economic collapse
  • How to start prepping without being extreme
  • Practical ideas for food, water, and power preparedness
  • Why mental, relational, and spiritual resilience matter too

Start small. Think clearly. Live with peace.

Our country is a national-scale dumpster fire, and we’re just watching it go up in flames.

That’s what the mainstream media and social media will have you believe.

The NHS is falling apart. It’s no longer fit for purpose. Good teachers are leaving the education system faster than the government can lure in unsuspecting young people to replace them.
The cost of living crisis has stopped being called that because we’ve all tired of hearing about it. It’s not a crisis any more, it’s just called normal life. We’ve just accepted that things are going to get more and more expensive forever, and we’re going to continue to see wages decline in real terms. Houses are never going to be affordable ever again for our young people. Taxes are getting higher than ever before and they can only go up. Inflation is stealing our purchasing power.
People are working 2 or 3 jobs just to survive. Treading water financially is all we can hope to do and even that takes effort. Without knowing what you’re doing, you’ll just get further and further behind.

Is there any hope for any of us who aren’t the super-rich?

Is the UK really that bad? Is the US any better? Is there any hope for us who aren't millionaires and aren't leaving?

So many people are leaving the UK for a better lifestyle. Why am I not and what can we actually do about things? All this and more in today’s instalment of the LTTF podcast.

Advice for a happy life is what most people want. I've said before that I don't think that optimising for happiness is what we should focus our lives on. Optimising for meaning and living a moral and upright life is preferable to optimising for happiness. I came across this article last year and thought I'd share it on the podcast because it contains some wisdom that deserves to be shared. I've added my own commentary to the article which is 👇

https://archive.ph/WarOA#selection-215.5-215.46

The transition from college to adult life is treacherous, and this is nowhere more visible than among new college graduates in their first real jobs. A few years ago, I took it upon myself to start writing tips for the young staff where I work about how to avoid doing things that would make their supervisors write them off. It began as a lark as I wrote tips with titles such as, "Excise the word 'like' from your spoken English."

But eventually, I found myself getting into the deeper waters of how to go about living a good life. At that point, I had to deal with a reality: When it comes to a life filled with deep and lasting satisfactions, most of the clichés are true. How could I make them sound fresh to a new generation? Here's how I tried.

Why are we so unhappy? Why are we discontent? 99% of the time it's because we are comparing ourselves to others. Or maybe even comparing ourselves to what we think we should be like. The secret to avoiding that is to be content with what you have.

Does that mean we should abandon all personal reflection and development and give up on personal growth? Not at all. We must surely do both.

The Joy of NOT Working obviously caught my attention as a book title.

This is the first of (possibly) many book reviews of books that have had an impact on me and have challenged my thinking, caused me to change something in my life, or generally been quite inspiring.

My wife saw the title of the book and immediately hated it but given a chance Ernie Zelinski will convince you that work is something that should facilitate leisure not take away from it.

By choice or by chance all of us sooner or later we will have to learn how to utilise and enjoy leisure time no doubt what we do with our spare time will determine the quality of our lives.

Most of us spend time thinking how much better life would be if we didn’t have to work so much.

So how can we find the Joy of NOT working?

Quitting your job and being financially independent are dreams a lot of people have. Are you able to make work optional in your life? Do you have a plan for it?
Nearly 90% of the UK's workforce are disengaged, meaning they aren't happy or committed to their work. In today's mini-essay, I advocate for making a plan to make work optional so that you can find work that you can engage with, find meaning, purpose and enjoyment from.

MINI SERIES ALERT!
I thought it would be fun to share with you The Seven Worst Pieces of Money Advice You Keep Hearing and then I thought why not make a mini series out of it.
Seven Worst Pieces of Spiritual Advice is coming soon but I couldn't help myself from posting this.

Let's talk about financial goal setting. Making goals and working towards them is a key part of life satisfaction, happiness, joy, whatever you want to call it but you need to make sure your goals are the right ones for you.
Finfluencers will tell you the goals you need are things like:
Get out of debt
Buy a house
Get an emergency fund
Start investing
Become financially free
These are all perfectly reasonable, generic goals. But there's a problem. They don't take into account your specific situation. The best financial goals are tailored to you. Here are some better suggestions:
Be content with what you have.
Make progress in building a life you don’t want to retire from.
Know what you want.
If you fancy a chat about your financial goals, hit me up! Here on the podcast we take a deeper dive into all the above.

You might have noticed August is a little different on the podcast this year. Instead of re-releasing old episodes that need to be revisited, I've put out more episodes than I have in the last three months!

This episode is inspired by the last three years of travelling every summer with my family. You should take your family travelling for a month every year. This episode tells you why and how.

🎙 Here's the episode, Quit Teaching (or your job): Start Living.

One of the most important aspects of living a life you want to live rather than one society has assigned you is what we do for work. Many people draw great satisfaction from their work. I’m inspired by my father and father in law who love what they do and will never retire because they have found something worth dedicating their lives to.

For others, work is a drudgery. It’s something to get through in order to enjoy the weekend. Some people can be perfectly satisfied doing a boring inane job that they can drop at 5pm and not think about until the next day.

I have been moving from the latter towards the former and I’d love the same for you.

In today's episode, I drop the introduction to my audio course, Quit Teaching, Start Living.

Would you notice if someone stole half your money? Would you be mad? Would you notice if it happened over 20 years? Would you put up with it if you knew it was happening?

Well, that’s exactly what’s happening to you right now right in front of your eyes!

Inflation is the government stealing your money.

Every time there is inflation, that’s the government stealing your money.

I was once asked by my brother in law "Why should I care about Bitcoin?"

This has many answers and in fact the answers may be different for different people but I've been musing and studying for a long time now and I am convinced that if you care about inequality, you should care about Bitcoin. Let me know what you think!

Motivation sucks for reliably getting stuff done. If we always wait until we're motivated to do stuff, we'll never get anywhere.
Discipline trumps motivation any day of the week.

Have you got a vision for your life? If you look into the future, what do you want to have? What do you want to do? What do you want to be? Who will be there with you? If you haven’t done this yet, I would love to encourage you to spend some time thinking and dreaming and writing down what you would like your life to be like in 20 years. 20 years is a pretty long time. It’s as long as you’ll need to achieve pretty much anything you’d like to achieve. I said it last week, even if you don't know how you're going to get there, at least knowing where you want to get to, means you're not either wandering around aimlessly or worse still, not going anywhere.

Today we dive into building a massive vision for your life, which can serve as your optimisation cue when faced with choices in life.

A master in the art of living draws no sharp distinction between his work and his play; his labour and his leisure; his mind and his body; his education and his recreation. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence through whatever he is doing, and leaves others to determine whether he is working or playing. To himself, he always appears to be doing both.

I love this quote. I've changed my mind on some things and retiring early is one of them. I actually want to build a life that I don't want to retire from. I want to become a Master in the Art of Living. Let's unpack what that means.

It’s one of my favourite times of year. That time between Christmas and New Year, when all the excitement of Christmas is over but I’m not working and I’m able to spend some relaxing time with my family and friends and also to reflect back on the past year and look forward to and plan my goals for the next year.

And the more I read about it, the more I realise (a) “man setting goals is ridiculously important”. And (b) “man, most people (including me), don’t give anywhere near enough attention to goal-setting as we should".

I want to give you three frameworks for you to use to make 2024 a year where you make meaningful progress towards living Life to the Full.

Merry Christmas Eve you wonderful podcast listeners. Thank you so much for your ears and attention this year. I wanted to jump on the microphone once more before Christmas to bring a reflection on Frankincense that I shared at church a few years ago. Christmas is a wonderful time to slow down and to meditate on what we're celebrating. I had no idea what Frankincense was until I wrote this meditation. I hope you enjoy and learn something new!

Merry Christmas!

I went a bit rouge last time and broke out of season 3 to bring you an emergency episode "Your emergency fund is not for emergencies. Ok, so what's it for?"
Today, we're back in season 3 for a deep dive into nutrition. We'll look at

  • What the key macro and micro nutrients we eat do.
  • Why ultra processed food is making us sick and stupid.
  • The four types of food we should definitely be eating.
  • Why we should grow and forage more of our own food.
  • How to still eat healthily when you want to smash a litre of Ben and Jerry's.
and - What making pasta from scratch means to me.

Your emergency fund is not for emergencies! That's right. You heard me. Your emergency fund is not for emergencies.

First things first, let's get everyone up to speed on what an emergency fund is. Then we'll get to what the best use of an emergency fund is.

An emergency fund is 3-6 months living expenses set aside in an easy access account which is not your current account (you might be tempted to spend it!) so that you have some money ready for any of life's emergencies that will inevitably come up.

Common emergencies that people site are a new boiler, car repairs or maybe you lose your job and you need to pay your mortgage or rent and bills and buy food whilst you get yourself back on your feet.

These are all great reasons for having an EF. It's much better than not having one but there's a better use for it.

That's what I'm here to propose in today's episode. If you are feeling stuck in a situation you can't change then listen up to today's episode!

I'm super pumped for this episode. I grabbed the opportunity to tap into the knowledge and wisdom that Dr Caroline Horton has amassed. Caroline is a chartered psychologist, a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and a member of several academic associations. She is a reader in psychology at Bishop Grosseteste University BGU and formerly led the PhD programme there. She is now the director of Dreams Lab, based at BGU in Lincoln, UK, which undertakes projects that share the common goal of exploring sleep-related cognition.

She is also the co-director of The Lincoln Sleep Research Centre.

Before joining BGU, Caroline obtained her undergraduate and Master's degrees in Psychology from the University of Durham, her PhD from the Institute of Psychological Sciences, University of Leeds and a PGCHE from Leeds Metropolitan University. Caroline has taught at the Universities of Durham and Leeds as well as the Open University, and predominantly at Leeds Metropolitan University as a Lecturer then Senior Lecturer. Her research interests principally span the fields of sleep, dreaming, and memory, and the relationships between those concepts.

In today's episode, we tackle such questions as how much should I sleep? What happens when we sleep? How does our sleep affect our physical and mental health? How cool is lucid dreaming? What is sleep hygiene and how should we make the most of our sleep time?

I can’t pinpoint exactly when I started thinking about conscious breathing, breath work, and how the simple act of breathing in a particular way could have such a profound effect on the body. It was probably a podcast by Ben Greenfield going into different breathing techniques, and when I tried them they had instantaneous massive effects on my body.

I’ve never even thought that breathing was something that we could do consciously. When I discovered the power of intentional breathing, it became something I wanted to pursue further.

Today we look at why breathing through your nose is far superior to breathing through your mouth, how breathing properly can help you control your body and mind and we'll look at 4 different breathing techniques for you to try at home.

This August brings something different to the podcast or rather something of the same to the podcast. As part of living life to the full, I like to take a month off to be with my family during August. This year, again, we are in France for the month. We’re doing two home exchanges so our accommodation costs are negligible. It means that we basically get to stay in someone’s home for free whilst someone stays in our home. If you want a bit of a rundown on how you can holiday for free then check out episode 21 of the podcast or you can search for Dafydd Morse on YouTube and I have a video there if you prefer that. Or listen to both!

Inspired by Paula Pant’s September sabbatical I’m putting out the most popular episodes and my favourite episodes from the archives just in case you are a new listener and haven’t gone back to the beginning or even just as a reminder of some of the good stuff from the past, which is worth reminding ourselves of.

Today we revisit episode 16. The most popular guest that's been on the podcast, Joshua from The Art of Money and Communication podcast and I talk all things rules for the money game, side hustles, financial evangelism, investing, faith and relationships and looking outside of ourselves. Please enjoy.

The first episode to revisit is an early episode, episode 11. It is by far and away my most popular episode. It speaks to a struggle we all have of how to speak so that people hear us. What we say is often not what the other person hears.

So as you listen to this I would encourage you to consider how you can apply the musings I have to your life. And also if you're not able to take a month off in your life, start asking the question, what would my life have to look like so that I could just take a month off? What would I have to do to make it a reality? Let's go back to January 2021 when the world was a different place but the lessons are still the same.

It's time to kick off Season 3 of the podcast where we'll focus on PHYSICAL HEALTH.
In season 2 we looked at the first pillar of life to the full, mastering your financial health. In so many ways, our financial health is nothing compared to our physical health. We’re going to be looking at movement, sleep, nutrition and how it all works together to build our bodies into the temples that they are. We’ll look at fasting and hot and cold exposure and the effect that all that has on our physical health. To coin a phrase, We are all playing the health game, whether we realise it or not.
In today's episode, we'll look at why physical health is so important, what kills us and how to stay alive.

I've been busy recently. And ill. It's not been the funest of times. It got me thinking though, what do I do when I don't have the time to do all the things I want to do.
There are days when we are so squeezed for time that we can’t do all that we want to do.

Since leaving the teaching profession I have designed my life so that I have a lot of time freedom to work on the things I want to work on. But even then there are certain times of the year that I’m far busier than I want to be, busier than is good for my relationships, busier than is good for my physical health, and my spiritual health. This is down to a role that I have that I can’t talk publicly about. Suffice to say there are other things I’d like to be doing more of.

The secret is... do the thing anyway.

That's what this episode is all about.

What you listen to has an incredible ability to shape the way that you think, but also to shape the way that you act in the world and the quality of your thoughts. A wise man once said, the quality of your thoughts determine the quality of your life. I think it was Marcus Aurelius. Our thoughts are determined for the most part by what we feed our minds. Most of us listening to this podcast will likely spend many hours a week listening to people on podcasts, on YouTube videos, on Twitter, on Instagram and whether we realise it or not, our minds are being changed, they are being shaped by what we listen to and what we read.
How can we use this knowledge for good? Listen up for some inspiration.

Whatever you do in life, there will be there to say you’re doing the wrong thing.

Whether it's a type of diet, a life change, a way to make money, a relationship, or following a dream. You will always have people willing to laugh and wait for you to fail.

So what does that mean? Does it mean that we should stop trying? Should we just not bother trying to live life to the full because someone is going to tell us that we’re doing the wrong thing?

Absolutely not.

We have a life ahead of us, waiting to be lived and enjoyed. Let's live Life to the Full.

Home exchange or home swap as it's also known is an absolutely amazing way to save money when you're going on holiday. As a family, we've hardly paid anything for accommodation over the last seven years. We've almost exclusively exchanged houses. It means we can go on more holidays and go holiday for longer and stay in some amazing places which would ordinarily be really expensive to stay in. We were able to go to Vancouver for a family wedding and pay £0 to stay in downtown for two weeks. Amazing! We have literally saved thousands of pounds over the years, simply by welcoming people into our home.

I’ve been considering a lot recently the importance of creating more than I consume. I did a whole mini episode of this idea of constantly consuming leading to an inability to think, unhelpful and unhealthy comparisons with others and ultimately a dissatisfaction with life. Creating on the other hand leads to clarity of thought, joy, and a sense of satisfaction. And this is all very well in theory but how can that work out in practical Reasonsterms? I want to take a few minutes today to unpack making time for creativity.

There are three things that hold us back from creating and keep us trapped in the miserable infinite scroll of consuming. Find out what they are and how to fix them in today's episode.

I am convinced that there are certain activities when done on a daily basis will lead to far greater satisfaction in life, a physically healthy body, and a refreshed soul.

I am going to be painting a picture of an ideal day in the hope of persuading you to take the steps needed to make any changes you need to your current daily routine. Of course that it is not possible to live every day in this idealised way. Our goal in which case is to consistently start to build these habits into our lives. There will be days when we hardly get any of them done. Such is the nature of life. But we can make progress by building them in one by one, one day at a time.

Season 2 has finished for now and season 3 is on its way but in the meantime, we're going to have a couple of shorter episodes with some quotes and wise words to encourage you on your journey of living life to the full.

Create more than you consume is a motto I constantly need reminding of but boy does it bring soul-affirming joy!

When you create instead of consume, it brings a satisfaction that consuming can't bring.

We talk about favourite rules for the money game, side hustles, financial evangelism, investing, faith and relationships, looking outside of ourselves and much more.

What is the point of money then?

It's to store your energy for use later. So this is why rule number 2 of the money game is 'Use money to buy freedom'.

Spending all that you earn means that you'll always be poor. Once you can start earning more than you spend you can start using that money to buy freedom for yourself. In today's episode we explore a little more of what money is and how to use it to buy freedom.

Money is a winable game and anybody can make improvements to their financial health. We are all playing the money game, whether we realise it or not. The only way to win the money game is to, number 1, realise that you’re playing the money game, number 2, learn the rules to the money game and number 3, start playing to win.
