Christmas Eve 2014 I was diagnosed with incurable cancer. They said I’d be dead in 9 to 18 months. In 2018 I was still alive and being treated but I was struggling. I went on a trip to Israel and while I was there something extraordinary happened. As I walked and wandered and waited I felt Jesus speak to me. Words of encouragement, comfort and challenge. It’s these words that I have recorded and share with you now with the hope that, in Him, you will find all you need, want and long for.
When, once again, I was worrying at the start of a new year that Jesus wouldn’t be able to meet my needs.
When the impact of Covid was really hitting home and I was finding it hard to be honest with Jesus.
When the impact of Covid was really hitting home and I was finding it hard to be honest with Jesus
When I woke up feeling very grateful that I was alive but then spent the rest of the day worrying about the future
After visiting where Jesus reputedly fed the five thousand and then taking a boat out onto the Sea of Galilee.
After visiting Capernaum, where Jesus based Himself for His ministry, and seeing the actual house where He stayed with Peter and his mother.
After queuing for two hours at the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem and watching queue jumpers bribe their way to the front.
After walking the Via Dolorosa, which Jesus was reputed to have ascended carrying His cross.
After visiting Jerusalem’s wailing wall and the pool at Bethesda, where Jesus, before He healed a crippled man, asked him what He wanted.
After visiting Gethsemane, where Jesus prayed while His disciples slept on the night before the crucifixion.
