Hello everyone! My name is Tris and I am a photographer, islander, magazine editor, blogger, and now a podcaster. My journey has been one of struggles and knock-downs. I have gone from living in a motel to living above a garage. I have had less than $10 in my bank and I have squandered thousands. Today, I own a thriving photo studio and am flown around the country by my clients to photograph some of the world's most interesting and noteworthy people. This most definitely did not happen overnight and I am most definitely not done achieving. There is still a lot to do and I want to share the process with you so that you can learn from my experiences and mistakes.
In this episode I invited Mark Turnipseed to join me for a very candid conversation. Mark and I dive into his struggle with drugs, sexuality, and honesty. His story is one of struggle, discovery and growth.
As you know, it is very important to me to be honest and direct. That means I needed to ask tough questions of Mark. Questions hat he never hesitated to answer with grace and a direct honesty. I am eternally greatfrul that he trusted me and this platform to bring forward who he is.
Enjoy this conversation and check out Mark's book here: https://www.amazon.com/My-Suicide-Race-Addiction-Recovery-ebook/dp/B08QDKZN7N

In this podcast I dive into one of the most important lessons I have learned, Manifesting WITH ACTION.
Often we hear variations on, “if you want it - manifest it into your life.” This may be a product of the popularity of many books on the topic, The Secret for example.
This podcast is about one of the key parts of manifesting that I think is the missing element. It’s also about how I manifest successfully.
Welcome to episode 4 of this four part series. If you have not already heard episode 1 through 3, be sure to start there.
In this episode, I talk deeper about stagnation and not accepting comfortable as good enough. I also talk about building and re-building from the ground up. This episode is a deeper look into my philosophy of staying challenged and growing through discomfort.
Welcome back to my Coming to America story!
✨ If you have not listened to episode 1 and 2, start there. ✨
Now, I am going to jump out of my safety net and re-build again! Listen up to this incredible story.
If you have not enjoyed episode 1, please start there.
In this episode I pick up where we left off. What happened in that car ride to the motel, what did I do once I got there? Did I go back home or did I stay in the US?
All of these questions are answered in this weeks podcast.
It Just Got Real.
If I told you this is how my story began, you would never believe me. Being kicked out of my home, enduring homophobia from my family, and I stuck around.
