Only one prep race this week on The Road to the Derby but it's a wide open Grade 2 Risen Star Stakes at the Fairgrounds. EJ sets it up and Lane breaks the race down. The Grade 2 Rachel Alexandra Stakes for 3 year old fillies (a Kentucky Oaks prep) is also discussed. Plus the guys recap the last three weeks of Derby preps and talk about the impact of a key race: The Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes at Churchill Downs last November.

We spoke with Jerry Crawford about Mo Donegal. They "are over the Moon" about Mo Donegal's chances in the Holy Bull. Crawford says his group is "trying to catch lightning in a bottle" to make it to the Kentucky Derby. Trainer Kenny McPeek told us he has no concerns about Tiz the Bomb racing back on dirt. Smile Happy and Tiz the Bomb are work mates but McPeek says he will keep them in separated in their races for now.
