Welcome to this week’s “In the Little things” Podcast. We hope you’ve had a great week! We love coming to you each week and lifting you up with God's word and encouragement to see the “little” and “big” blessings that we are given in God's grace. We know this life can SEEM lonely, scary, and even sad at times but we want to encourage you and let you know that YOU ARE NOT ALONE!! This week we come with Gail's “True Story” of God's goodness! So take a deep breath as you listen now as Gail shares a true story of is week experience of God's goodness!
Scripture:
(Psalm 23:6) “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord.”
(Galatians 6:10) “Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”
(Jeremiah 29:11) “ For I know the plans I have for you. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans of hope and future.”
Application: Being a good person is in the eye and mind of the person who has to make the right decisions everyday. It isn't easy to be good all the time. Adam and Eve shows us how fallible we truly can be, however we have been given his Holy Spirit and His Holy Word to be able to override our tendency to disobey or make bad decisions. Just like Gail could have naturally and perhaps justly retaliated the meanness of the customer service representative, she chose , with the aid of the Holy Spirit, to be kind and good towards her and obeyed the Holy Spirits prompting so that she could be the light of God, to her. To apply God's instructions in the His Word and to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, we can be GOOD!
Challenge: If there has ever been a time to shine the light of God in the deep darkness of the world, IT IS NOW! This week's challenge is to be God's light to a world that is desperately searching for HIM! Seek God's goodness in every engagement we come across at the grocery store, school, parking lots, roads, and wherever we are and whomever we are with.
Devotional Insight: This journey is what you make it to be. We have freewill to follow the world's definition of “Goodness” or what God's definition of goodness is. Throughout the bible, God displays His goodness, from beginning to the end. Jesus also displays his goodness to all people, even those who reject him. Being good does not always mean you will be accepted or even liked, but sometimes quite the opposite. Being Good does mean that God our Father will be pleased. So the question is … Who are you trying to please and have proud of you? God or people? God's only asks you to love another in service to HIM!

Welcome to this week’s “In the Little things” podcast. Thanks for joining us again as we walk together through what seems to be a maze of life lessons. We seem to be entering a time confusion and chaos. Gail and I,simply want to walk through this labyrinth of life with you! This week Annabelle wants to share a true story with you, that is solely intended to reflect the PEACE of God during a tense moment of spiritual warfare she recently had! Hope that this strengthens your walk with Christ! True Story: Going grocery shopping has never been so hard!
Scripture:
(John 14:27 ) “ Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts to be troubled and do not be afraid!”(Phil 4:7) And the Peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus! (Col 3:15) Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body, your were called to peace. And to be thankful! (Ephesians 6: 11-18) The Armor Of God! (Hebrews 12:14) Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord” (Psalm 29:11)THE LORD gives strength to his people; THE LORD blesses his people with PEACE!
Application: It may seem that I (Annabelle) may come across like I have it altogether or even arrogant. Please do not take my boldness and courage in Christ as arrogance. During my journey, I have to really rely on God for everything!! We are all handled difficulties in this life but it is through the PEACE of GOD that we can overcome the evil of this world. We have to listen to the Holy Spirit's instructions and put on the Armor that God has provided us with in His promised and powerful Word! We must remember with and be ready His Word and have it in our minds and hearts, prepared to do spiritual battle.. For GOD ALREADY WON THE WAR and we are on the winning team JESUS! Don't just have faith but be doers of the Word! “APPLY IT!”
Devotional Insight: As we walk in this hostile earthly world, it gets darker and darker. I don't want to discourage you… Quite the opposite, I want to encourage YOU because God has and will never abandon you! You are a CHILD OF THE GOD MOST HIGH, the LORD OF LORDS and KING OF KINGS!!! TRUST HIM!!! He is not only with you but will give you everything you need to have to obtain True PEACE! “Faith in God is not just a feeling, emotion, decision, or concept… It's the action verb that accesses all of God's blessings… including His True PEACE!
Challenge: So this week's challenge is to genuinely be in God's Word and memorize as much as you can so that when evil, lies, deception or attacks come your way…. You can repel those fiery darts. Welcome to this week’s “In the Little things” podcast. Does it seem like lately there has been such tension globally, locally, and individually? I know that times are always shifting and things are always changing, but if you really look hard you can always find kindness, in even the hardest and most difficult of days! Listen as we share a True Life Story!
Sometimes it can be something as little as being quick to listen and slow to speak. One can listen without fixing anything but instead allowing God to reach someone in His perfect timing! Always being kind and seeing God's love overcome any and all obstacles that get in the way!
Scripture:
(James 1:19) “My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this, everyone should be quick to listen and slow to speak.”
(Ecclesiastes 3:7) “There is a time for tears and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak.”
(1 Thessalonians chapter 2) “We speak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the Gospel. We are not trying to please people but God, who test our hearts.”
(Colossians 3:12) “Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.”
Application: We all need kind words, kind gestures, and compassion. Whenever you feel that there is someone struggling with something, be kind and seek God's plan in that situation. Often times, it is not easy because our nature is to judge or make comparisons. But if you stay close to God, He will show you how kindness is the medicine that can lead to spiritual healing of one another! So always seek kind words of encouragement and it will go a long way.
Devotional Insight:
As we walk in this hostile earthly world, it gets harder to see kindness around us. We can sometimes get lost in the bad habits or bad choices this world offers, but we have the word of God, the bible, to teach us, guide us and speak to us! Without staying close to God and reading His word, we can all make mistakes and sin. So, whenever you see someone struggling, always be kind, gentle, and have compassion because we never know what it is they are going through and the love and kindness of God is not exclusive but inclusive, that is to say for all of us!
Challenge: So this week's challenge is to genuinely be kind to others. Look outside our boxes and see where God's love and kindness can change the spaces that you are in… at the office, the grocery store, the activities you are engaged in and the people around you! For instance, I love it when I come to a door and the person ahead of me, holds the door open for me. It makes my day, when my husband does the dishes, “just because” or my son smiles and gets me a pillow. KINDNESS is soothing, healing, and comforting! A Gift from Our Faithful Father!
Guided Prayer:Lord God, Thank you, that You give us Your favor. You always want to pour your love and kindness on us, your children. You always are with us and if we seek You in everything, we will find you are with us through the kindness of others. Let our lives be more filled with Your kindness, so that others will discover Your amazing love for them! Use us for Your glory, in Jesus Christ precious name, Amen!

Welcome to this week’s “In the Little things” podcast. We often get comfortable where we are in our lives, but as we mature and learn outside our comfort zones, we must learn to let go of our “old ways”. Sometimes that is easier said than done because, as you may already know, we are creatures of habit! Listen as Annabelle shares to her True Story of the truths she has learned from her childhood and is able to continue to learn that we must let some things go in order to grow and mature into the person that we are intended to be and grow closer in our walk with Christ Jesus.
Scripture:
(Romans 7:6 ) “But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.”
(Ephesians 4:22 ) “You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires.”
(Matthew 6:21) “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also!”
(Lamentations 3:22-23) “Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassion never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness!”
Application: Sometimes we must be willing to take a step back and look at our lives from outside our comfort zone. Many times we find that God has taken people out of where they are to bring them to where He knows they should be. Often times, we must be willing for God to mature us and mold us. We must be willing to change our ways of doing things, to be able to see what He wants for us is way better! Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you towards His maturity and faithfulness by letting go of “our own way” of doing things.
Devotional Insight:
Everyday is a new day. It's a new start and a “redo” in our walk with the Lord. As God extends grace to us each morning, we can learn to look outside ourselves and see where we can grow closer to God. By taking a step back and evaluating our situations, we can begin to notice how it impacts our loved ones and their walk with God.Challenge: So this week's challenge is to trust God with everything your maturity in Him. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal what it is God wants to show you! And be willing to follow the Holy Spirit's leading no matter if it takes you out of what has been your “comfort zone”. Do not become stale in your walk with the Lord, but instead re-evaluate your way of doing things that you may feel are tugging on your heart or the hearts of those around you. Be open to change for the betterment of YOU and your walk with the Lord. Ask God to help you see Him clearly during the process of maturity! For God loves you and will always be with you! He is always gracious and faithful!!
Guided Prayer:Lord God, Thank you, that You have given us “new beginnings” and renewed hearts! Let us seek growth that brings us closer to you and spiritual maturity. Let us put away the “old self” and put on our “new mature self” so that we can live abundantly in Your Truths!Let our lives be more filled with Your renewed blessings as we let go of the old and hold on fast to the new revelations of Your love for us! Welcome to this week’s “In the Little things” podcast. We often overlook very important things just because we are not aware o there importance. As we meet people and learn their names, we often find out that the name was chosen because it represents a characteristic of the person, or it's chosen because of the importance of a relationship to the parents. Usually a name can remind someone of someone else they endear. But what about the last name? Listen as Annabelle and I share a story about the discovery of particular last names...
Scripture:
(Acts 4:12) “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other NAME under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved!”
(John 14:6) “Jesus answered,'' I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me!”
(Isaiah 9:6) “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
(Proverbs 18:10) “The NAME of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe!”
Application: Often when we meet someone, we try to remember that persons name. We try to associate that name with an experience. Even in the case of figuring out where they are from or who they may be; based off their name. The application here, would be to pay close attention to the importance of a person's name, so that they can see the intentional love of God in You. A name may seem very little of importance sometimes, but try to use a persons name, whenever you can and see how it really matters to that person and can truly impact a person's spirit.
Devotional Insight: Everyday is an opportunity to get to know someone knew and reach them for the Kingdom. Using their name in the moment of interaction has a huge impact on them, but also applying a person's name in prayer is powerful! Always try to bring a person, by name, to the throne of God and you will find that the power of prayer will blow your socks off, years later when you run into that person again and find out their back story! What a privilege that God has given us to be part of their story!!
Challenge: So this week's challenge is to really focus on the actual names of the people you encounter this week. Form a prayer list with their names. Trust God knows exactly what their needs are and know that you have a purpose in investing in those around you that you encounter, meet, or get to share your life with! Ask God to reveal the importance of Who He is in your life, so that in these revelations, He can become known to you in an intimate and personal way! Focus on the names of God this week and He will show you who He really is! “Mighty One, God of Gods, Powerful, Wonderful Counselor, Prince of Peace, Strong One, With Us, Provider, Sovereign, All Knowing, Everywhere, Was, Is, and Is to Come! And so on….”
Guided Prayer:Lord God, Thank you, that You have given us “a name with purpose and value” in Christ Jesus! Let us seek your truth and wisdom to live up to whom we are meant to be in You! Let us pray for those we encounter each day and let us be mindful of our name being in Your Book of Life! Thank you for Your saving grace!It's in Jesus Christ precious name, Amen!

Welcome to this week’s “In the Little things” podcast. We live in a time where we have so much stuff. Usually during the Spring season I do “Spring cleaning” and get rid of a lot of around the house. I go room to room and see what can be donated. This year, I started a little later than usual because of the days being so cool and nice… quite honestly I enjoyed the outdoors before it got hotter. Listen now as we share a True Life Story of real life struggle and what God is showing us through it all!
Scripture:
(Proverbs 15:16) “Better is little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and trouble therewith.”
(Ecclesiastes 4:6) “Better one handful with tranquility than two handfuls with toil and chasing after the wind.”
(John 3:30) “He must increase, but I must decrease.”
(Matthew 6:21) “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also!”
(Matthew 6:26) “Look at the birds of he air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns and yet your Father in heaven Feeds them. Are you not more valuable than they?”
(Philippians 4:19) “But my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus!”
Application: We live in an era that screams “ more, buy more...it is better” After all.. that is called marketing. If something is going to cause you to be distracted, unhappy, or frustrated… get rid of it or just do not buy it. I now chose to live simply because it is hard to maintain clean, however for there to be more time to enjoy life, less stuff allows me more freedom to enjoy life!More time to be in God's word, in His creation, and with family and friends!
Devotional Insight: Be careful where you put all your energy. For me it was put on building a home of memories and stuff, instead of living free from the burden of stuff. Allow God to increase in you and you decrease so that you can enjoy life; a life of abundant blessings of love and not of material stuff. God will take care of ALL your needs and you will never be without. Just like He promises in the book of Matthew, God will provide for you and your family!
Challenge: So this week's challenge is to trust God with everything you need. Do not be a collector of things but instead ask yourself “ Do I really need this or is this just a 'want to have this?'. Sometimes less is more when you think of how much time and effort it takes to maintain a home with so much stuff. Allow yourself to enjoy what you have and get rid of the things in your life that you really don't need. Ask God for the things you need and He is always gracious and faithful!!
Guided Prayer:Lord God, Thank you, that we do not need to worry about anything we need. You promise us that you will provide us with everything! So let us rest assured that You know what we need and what we do not need. Let our lives be more filled with Your blessings and may we empty the things that distract us from You! Ecclesiastes 9:10 “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going.”
Luke 16:10 “He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.”
Hebrews 6:11-12 “And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”
Application: Too often, the easy way ends up leads to something in our lives being more difficult in the end. Just as laziness in a job can cause an employee to be terminated, laziness in a relationship can causes friendships to die, relatives to go years without speaking, and marriages to end. Are you taking shortcuts you shouldn’t be taking? Examine your life and see where maybe you have been trying to take the easier road than the right road.
Challenge:Once you’ve examined your life, make any changes necessary to improve in areas where you can tell you’ve been taking shortcuts. Maybe it is relational and you need to become more communicative, even if it’s uncomfortable to open up to someone about how you’ve been feeling. Perhaps you need to work harder at your job so your testimony is good before your fellow employees. Whatever it is, take it before God and ask Him to help you make whatever changes are necessary to improve various areas in your life.
Devotional Insight: Maybe you are a hard worker, a great communicator, and really aren’t taking any other discernible shortcuts in life. But if you’re not really connecting regularly with God, it would be helpful to step back and refocus. Your relationship with the Lord will impact pretty much every area of your life, so it is important to make sure it’s strong. Schedule a time every day for that to happen. Use that time to connect with the Lord through prayer & Bible reading. You may even enjoy reading scripture out loud or singing praise and worship songs as part of your devotional time. The Lord will just be happy to know you are reaching out to Him!
Guided Prayer: Lord, help us to see where we can make positive changes in my life, and help me to do them even when they are uncomfortable.Let us protect our witness to others. We love you!

Welcome to this week’s “In the Little things” podcast. Motherhood brought the need to use the right words to express oneself, to a whole new level! My mom use to tell me that words can either lift someone or destroy someone! For so many years, we are told this truth, however when we get mad, frustrated or angry, we can forget sometimes. True Story... Sometimes we just need a little reminder that our words can and should be used to lift someone up and never to tear anyone down. It took a stranger to use his words to remind me that my beauty is not from the outside in but from the inside out!
Scripture:
(1 Thessalonians 4:18) “Therefore encourage one another with these words.”
(Isaiah 1: 16) “ And I have put my words in your mouth and covered you in the shadow of my hand, establishing the heavens and laying the foundations of the earth, and saying to Zion, ' You are MY people!”
(Colossians 3:16) “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom!”
(Ephesians 4:29) “Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.”
(James 1:19) “Know this, my beloved brothers and sisters: let every person be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger!”
(Proverbs 16:24) “Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body”
Application:Even though our culture is changing and these changes get more distanced from the standards set by God, words become even more important to show God's love and purpose for our lives. This is hard for me to admit, but even with the best intentions at heart, words can hurt someone sometimes, if they are not from God but from ourselves. Often times,we hurt those closest to us or sometimes people we don't know at all (especially on social media) if we are not prayerful and well intended for building up one another., by thinking that our opinions or ideas are better than theirs. Sometimes, as the word of God says, we must first ask ourselves “Is what I am wanting to say uplifting or not?”And then stand on Ephesians 4:29!
Devotional Insight: God wants and desires for us to speak Truth! His Truth!! A truth that uplifts one another, encourages each other, and teaches His statutes for our lives. If what you are thinking does not show His character of Love, than it would be better to be quick to listen and slow to speak (respond). Often times, the Holy Spirit will prompt us if there is a nugget of God's truth to be said or to be shared… For the Holy Spirit knows when we are ready to listen to Him and He has perfect words, timing, and intentional for “Godly Moments”!
Challenge: So this week's challenge is quite simple. Be in God's word as much as you can so that when you go to speak God's truth in love! Try to really listen to the Holy Spirit directions and be slow to speak. Really try to be supportive and encouraging with the words that you speak. Ask God to help you with the words that you should speak and you will be amazed on what he tells you to say that you did not even know that person needed to hear! RELY ON GOD'S WORDS OF HOPE and LOVE!

Welcome to this week’s “In the Little things” podcast. I don't know about our listeners, but for me it has been a long school year this year, hasn't it? I know that time is the same each year but for some reason, this past school year was challenging and difficult. We have one more week left and I can't wait until there is no more schoolwork. All to say that I have found myself needing more REST!!! Sometimes it can be something as little as a nap that allows us to receive the huge blessing of knowing God is with us and hears our prayers! We just simply have to ask Him!
Scripture:
(Exodus 33:14) “And he said, 'My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest!”
(Exodus 20:11) “ For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy!”
(Psalm 3:5) “I lay down and slept; I woke again, for the Lord sustained me!”
(Matthew 11:28-30) “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light”
Application: Are you going, going, going all the time, like me! Even God did not create everything in One day and yet we sometimes think we can do everything we need/want to do, all in one day! In order to enjoy the abundant life God has intended for us… we must “Stop and smell the Roses”. In my case I was just too tired to enjoy anything. How to apply this TRUTH of the promise from God… Simply ask by praying to Him and saying “Lord, please help me to get some much needed REST!” I know if may sound so simple, But often times, surrendering everything to God is harder to commit to doing everyday and yet so simple to do. SIMPLY ASK GOD for REST!
Devotional Insight:
God wants and desires for us to live to our to best potential and if we are not willing to seek Him and ask Him for help; we can be busy chasing our own agenda and just wearing ourselves out! When you feel you are tired or fatigued, go to the Lord and REST IN HIM! He has been were we are and understands what we are going through and will provide us with the REST we need! For He is Faithful!
Challenge: So this week's challenge is quite simple. Listen to your body and when you get so tired that you feel weary about anything, Simply ask God to help you get REST. Sometimes To try to learn how to pray, I sometimes try to put myself in the time period of when God Himself came down from Heaven to live on this earth in human form. This is one of those times. Because the bible tells us how Jesus traveled by foot or donkey in the heat of the Middle East nations. Think about how tired or fatigued He had to become! In this day and age, with all our modern technology and advances, we can not imagine what this kind of fatigue must have been like. Even Jesus had to seek quiet time alone and REST physically and emotionally!… Ask God to give you REST and LET HIM REFRESH YOU THIS WEEK!
Guided Prayer:Lord God, We come to you and seek You! Thank you for the REST that can only be found in You. Let us seek refreshment and new beginnings in YOU! Let our lives filled with moments of revelation of Your truth and love for us! In Jesus Christ name, Amen!

(You can read all of 2 Corinthians chapter4) “As we look not to the things that are seen but to the thing that are unseen. For the thing that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal!”
(You can read all of 2 Kings chapter 6) “Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are MORE than those who are with them! Then Elisha prayed and said, 'O Lord, please open his eyes that he may see.' So the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha!”
(Hebrews 11: 7) When Noah builds the Ark based on unseen events and faith in God's calling… “By faith Noah, being warned by God concerning events as yet unseen, in reverent fear constructed an ark for the saving of his household. By this he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith!”
Application: Are you you putting your faith in the seen or unseen? Know that we have so more access to the promises of God that are still unseen. Just like when we go to the beach, or go for a long walk in the heat of the sun; God is with us to refresh us with unseen blessings. We just need to ask him for a revelation of his mercy and grace, in whatever we are walking through! Immersing ourselves in His promises, we can apply his blessings to our every day lives! “Seek Him and you shall find Him!”
Devotional Insight:
God wants and desires to reveal Himself to you, wherever you are! His heart's desire is to walk beside you, talk with you, and share His love with you! After all that is what He did with Adam, in the garden of Eden, before our fall! He wants to delight in YOU so much that He will even use the unseen to display His faithfulness to YOU!
Challenge: So this week's challenge is quite simple. Do not dismiss the unseen. Do not limit God's love and power, only to what you know and see but instead search for His presence in your everyday and ask Him to reveal Himself to you, even in a breeze, or event, sign on a car, or even in a dream. Search and Seek Him! Just like a child who plays Hide and Seek… Ask God to reveal where He is and ask Him to walk beside you! LET HIM REFRESH YOU THIS WEEK!
Guided Prayer: Lord God, We come to you and seek You! Thank you for the unseen miracles in our lives. You are the Orchestrator of all things GOOD! Let us not take for granted all the unseen blessings in our lives but always acknowledge Your love for us, even in the unseen realm. Let our lives filled with moments of revelation of Your truth and love for us!In Jesus Christ name, Amen!

We are so tremendously blessed with our listeners and those who prayed over the very thought of doing a podcast! It hasn't been easy to get here, but God has equipped us, sustained and inspired this podcast. If we only STOP and know He is God, He is in control, and His plans are bigger and better than our own. John 25:19-23 Jesus Appears to the Disciples -“On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to the, “Peace be with you.”When he had said this, he showed them is hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they say the Lord. Jesus said them again, “Peace be with you, As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.”And when he had said this, he BREATHED on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you withhold forgiveness from any, it is withheld.”
Application: Are you feeling drained, exhausted, fatigued or strained? It is not easy to “Let go and Let God!” however you have to choose to “Trust God” He not only knows what He is doing but He is still on His throne. Every time you take a breath, remember WHO has given you that breath, your blessings, and life itself! Trust God.
Devotional Insight: It's okay to be not be okay.. For God knows what you are going through. I even think of the anxiety that Jesus felt right before he knew that they would soon be captured and go willingly through such a torturous death on the cross for us! Yet Jesus spoke unceasingly with His Father! He trusted the Father's plans of redemption and reconciliation for us. We must do the same. We must pray in all things without ceasing and trust Him!
Challenge: So this week's challenge is quite simple. We have to choose to lay our burdens and hardships at Jesus's cross and surrender it all to the Will of God! It has become much easier to trust Him in His strength! So this week… “Take a deep breath and LET GO and LET GOD be GOD of your life!”

Welcome to this week’s “In the Little things” podcast. In Post 2020, many of us are looking back to before Covid hit us. We can remember the freedoms we lived in, such as doing things without masks and restrictions. Living with restrictions is more difficult than living without restrictions. For example, ask yourself, how many times have you stepped out of your car and have forgotten your mask inside the car? Today we are talking about why it is importance of repetition and practice in our faith.
Scripture:
Colossians 1:9-10 “And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God!”
1 Timothy 6:11 “But as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Instead pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith.
2 Timothy 316-17 “All scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.”
Hebrews 10:36 “For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.”
Application: When God gave us His instruction manual, the Holy Scripture/Bible, He gave it to us so that we us the privilege to able to meditate on it… “practice” our faith out loud. No other animal or creation has the ability to commune in His presence like we do. However, just like learning a sport, skill set like music, art, second language or trade, you must first learn through the skill of practice. You must read and apply God's instructions every day and every moment.
Devotional Insight: “Discipline” is the key to learning and applying God's word to your life. Growing your spiritual life is “perfecting your faith” and standing on it, through thick and thin. You have to be strategic and intentional in your walk with the Lord, in order to mature your spirit, you HAVE TO HAVE DISCIPLINE!
Challenge: So this week's challenge is quite simple. Find yourself a quite place where you will not find any distractions and have complete privacy. Meditate on the word of God and go to Him and ask Him, “Lord God help me to stand firm in Your promises. Help me to be intentional and disciplined in reading your word and meditating on Your will for my life. Help me to set a time and a place to connect with You and help me to become the child of God that You have intended for me to be!
Guided Prayer:Heavenly Father, Thank you for giving me the privilege of knowing You! Thank You for Your Holy instruction manual. Thank You Lord for the mind that can be molded and taught to follow Your teachings. Thank You for Jesus, Your son, who showed us how to be intentional in our walk with You. Help us to practice our faith and listening to the Holy Spirit's guiding and counseling. Let our practice build a stronger walk with You, so that we can be a beacon of light to those in our path. May our practice” here on earth bring YouGlory, In Jesus Christ precious and glorious name, Amen!

Application: So what are you standing on? Is your bridge solid or frail? We have to rely on God's Truth, Wisdom, and Strength to be able to cross a sturdy bridge. We can only do this by 1. Asking God where the weak parts of the bridge are 2. Seek God's word for His revelation of Truth and 3. Stand firm on His Solid Rock, His Promises and Truth! By remaining close to Him and being in constant relationship with God… Can we grow stronger roots of faith, stronger and richer soil to stand on, and be strong during all the storms of this life!
Devotional Insight: “Trust God” He not only knows what He is doing but He is still on His throne. When you feel the ground is shaking or that the soil is like quick sand. Go to God and commune in His presence. Ask Him to reveal His strength in our weakness. GOD IS THERE WITH YOU! HE IS YOUR SOLID ROCK!
Challenge: So this week's challenge is quite simple. Find yourself a quite place where you will not find any distractions and have complete privacy. Welcome to this week’s “In the Little things” podcast. Wow, we are living in a time in which we are looking back at 2020. Praise God that we made it through. God has been faithful to carry us through and yet there are many who are still suffering with many losses. One thing that I have seen in every story is ….. God's faithfulness, provision, hope, and assurance of Who He is during a storm like this… God is ultimately unchangeable, constant, and absolute LOVE! Listen as we share some stories in our lives as to how God has revealed truths in our lives with such grace and compassion!
Scripture:
Genesis 3:9-11 “But the Lord God called to the man and said to him, 'Where are you?, ' And Adam said, 'I heard the sound of you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked, so I hid myself”.
1 John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
John 4:16-24 Jesus reveals himself to the woman at the well.
John 8:1-10 The woman is caught in adultery.
Revelation 1:8 “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, says the Lord, which is, and which was, and is to come, the Almighty. Forever and ever.”
Luke 2:41-46 When Jesus goes with his parents to Jerusalem and is left behind by his parents, who did not know he had stayed behind, discovered him three days later at the temple, sitting among the teachers, answering their questions.
Application: Why are we hiding? There is truly nothing that God doesn't already know. Sometimes we have to be willing to admit that we have fallen short of keeping our walk closely to God and must be willing to come to Him with a sincere heart and ask Him 1. for forgiveness of our own disobedience and 2. We need to come out of hiding and get closer to Him for Him to help us walk righteously. Remembering always that He is for us and not against us! He is a loving Father who wants us to stay close to Him, wherever we go!
Devotional Insight: “Trust God” He not only knows what He is doing but He is still on His throne. When you feel that You do not know where God is in your life or you feel that God is not caring or with you… Ask yourself, “Have I moved away from God… Have I hidden myself from Him?” If you go to Him and ask Him to reveal Himself to you… Trust me … HE WILL in such a loving and amazing ways!
Challenge: So this week's challenge is quite simple. Find yourself a quite place where you will not find any distractions and have complete privacy. Meditate on the word of God and go to Him and ask Him, “Lord God where are You?” Reveal Yourself to me in such a way that cannot be explained any other way but through an intimacy that I can only have with You! Guided Prayer:Heavenly Father, You are so amazingly good to us and know everything. You spoke everything into existence, so why would we believe that You would hide from us. Help us to realize Your love is bigger than our sins. You have paid the ultimate price on the cross for our sin and rose to conquer death… so that we would not be separated from You. Welcome to this week’s “In the Little things” podcast. Today, we’re going to consider how easy it is to cling to control over our lives. Sometimes, we even remind ourselves that God is a God of order to justify hanging onto that control a little too tightly. And then we get frustrated when things don’t go as planned and we are faced with unmet expectations or a sudden turn of course. Well, I’m here to tell ya I was kind of like that. But then I learned loosening my grip on my plans ended up leading to some pretty awesome experiences!
Scripture:
Proverbs 19:21 Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails.
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Proverbs 15:22Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed. (Our revised, loosely-held plans for travel took into account the advice of others who had gone before us.)
Application: Are you a control freak? Seriously… do you have a hard time letting anyone else run the show other than your organized, detailed calendar? While having a schedule and living an organized life can be very good things, enslaving yourself to the idea of how you THINK things should be done and not allowing room for God to move can keep you from something bigger and better He has planned for you and your family!
Challenge:Ask God what He wants you to add to your calendar and where He might want you to leave wiggle room. When asked to take on a new activity, go to the Lord first to make sure it’s something He wants you to do. And when things don’t go as planned, don’t freak out! It’s okay; God’s got this. Ask Him if there’s something He wants you to see or do. You never know if He might be teaching you something or connecting you to someone who, for example, might need to hear about Him or would be an encouragement to you!
Devotional Insight: “Let go and let God” is more than just a cute phrase. It doesn’t mean we live our lives willy nilly and never make plans. But let’s write those plans in clay rather than stone! Ya never know when the Lord will put something amazing in your path, and you could miss it if you’re too busy being frustrated with a sudden change in plans.

Welcome to this week's “In the Little Things” Podcast. In our last podcast we talked about how to see God in the daily grind of life. As we continue to experience the ripple effects of COVID-19 and the aftermath of the storm, we are starting to see, in some places, the beginnings of normalcy. Places are starting to get a policy in place, people are starting to re-gather, and lives are becoming more stable with a vaccine in place. However, we still have a long way to go in our healing process... Listen as Annabelle shares a partial testimony of how God miraculously healed her!
“True Story”… “Paralyzed to Purposed”
Devotional Insight:God allows us to go into circumstances that we choose by freewill, so that we can see His goodness, wisdom, and provision. It's only when we disobey or make the wrong choices or quite frankly rebel against God's will that we find ourselves in trouble. We push God away, take Him out our institutions or lives, that we find out the hard way that we should have listened to God. That day that was caught in the six car crash, I was not able to control my car because I was too close to the car ahead me and we were all going over the speed limit. I knew not to tailgate and I knew not to go so fast, but I chose to ignore the rules and follow the directions. God did not cause the accident, nor was He caught off guard by my accident. I instead chose to not listen and obey the rules of the road and made all the wrong choices!

(1 John 4:19) “But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us!” (Ephesians) “In this is love, not that we have loved God, but that he loved us.” (1 Chronicles 16:34)(Psalm 107:1) (Psalm 118:1) “Oh give thanks to the Lord, For he is good; For his steadfast love endures forever!” (Proverbs 3:5) “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding!” (Mark 2) Jesus heals the paralyzed man. Challenge:I do believe that we reap what we sow. Each decision we make, in our freewill.. we have the choice to follow and believe God's goodness for us or not. My challenge this week is to seek God in every decision and ask Him, “Lord what is it that I should do here? What is Your Will for me in this? And How can my decision teach me something of Who You Are?”
Guided Prayer:“Heavenly Father, Thank you for your unconditional love. Thank you for always lifting us up in times of trouble. Help us to trust you and ask you for Your Will in our lives. May we have Your favor in our lives and have our brokenness healed. May we look to You once again! We thank you for Your faithful love, in the powerful name of Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior, Amen, Selah!”

I believe this week’s topic will speak into the lives of many who are walking through a season in which sometimes it feels like just getting all the laundry off the floor or putting a meal on the table is enough. It’s all they can do to get through the day and collapse into bed at night, exhausted but grateful that at least everyone is fed and alive! I have been “Mommying” for 18 years now, and I STILL have those days! It’s like, “Did anyone die?” “Nope!” “Awesome! I feel accomplished!” Except in reality, I’m feeling anything BUT accomplished…
True Story: THE DAILY GRIND!.. Listen as Jennifer tells you of her amazing story as she transitions from one chapter to the next, and always searches how to serve God in all things; even IN THE LITTLE THINGS!
Scriptures: Matthew 10:42 And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward.
Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.
Proverbs 31:10-31 A wife of noble character, who can find? She is far more precious than rubies! A woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
Application: Do you feel enslaved by the daily grind? Does the unending load of dishes and insurmountable pile of laundry make you feel like your purpose is lost somewhere between dirty plates and stinky socks? Remind yourself that God has a purpose for you right where you are, and He didn’t make any mistake by putting you there! Can we sometimes end up doing things we HAVEN’T been called to do? No doubt about it, which is why we need to pray often and let Him guide us the way He wants us to go! But if you’ve done that, you have no need to wonder whether you are where you were meant to be and whether God is using your life for His glory, even in the little things of daily life. The answer will always be, “YES! He is!”
Challenge:Memorize some verses from Proverbs 31 that cover chores you do in your home. Post them around the house. And then consider the way the Bible described the woman who did those things: noble, clothed with strength and honor, praised, precious. That is YOU! Serve your family with purpose and joy!
Devotional Insight:God uses us wherever we are to serve and honor Him. And it doesn’t always look big to us or to other people. But every choice we make to honor the Lord by doing what we do to the best of our abilities brings Him glory! Not only that, but in Matthew 10:42, Jesus promises us a reward for things as “little” as giving a child a cup of water.
Guided Prayer:Lord, we are so grateful to know you love every little thing we do for you! Please help us not to lose sight of that and to honor and serve you well by doing every task you give us to the best of our abilities. Help us to use our talents to your glory, whether it’s preaching to a stadium of thousands or sewing on a button. And help us to remember you don’t value one more highly than the other the way we often do. Thank you for giving us purpose, even when we don’t always see Your plan. In the name of Jesus Christ, Our Lord. Amen!

I wrote in my journals my encounters with other people because I didn't want to forget what God was showing me. Now with our phones we can go back and see every “comment”, Q & A, or emoji. Today I will share a story that I wrote in my journal..
Scripture:
(1 John 4:1) “Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God.”
(Proverbs 3:5) “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding!”
(Matthew 14:28-31) “Lord, if it's you, Peter replied. Tell me to come to you on the water.” “Come”, Jesus said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when hew saw the wind, he became afraid and beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, SAVE ME!” Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught Peter. “You of little faith” said Jesus. “Why did you doubt?”
(John 20:24-29) "Now Thomas, one of the twelve disciples, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. So the other disciples told him, 'We have seen the Lord!' But he said to them, 'unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side,I will not believe. A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, 'Peace be with you!' Then he said to Thomas, 'Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it int my side. Stop doubting and believe.' Thomas said to him, 'My Lord and my God!' Jesus then said, 'Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed!"
(Mark 9: 24) “Immediately the boy's father exclaimed, I do believe, help me overcome my unbelief!”
Application: This is how the Bible provides instructions that help you navigate pass the stormy waters of life. But in order to have smooth sailing, you must have FAITH in what you read to be ABSOLUTE TRUTH! If you don't fully believe or have a hard time with your belief, than pray to God to help you in your disbelief. He will prove faithful!
Devotional Insight:God has given us a natural curiosity and desire to explore, learn, and grow. He delights in watching us use these inclinations to grow in His Word, learn more about Him, and test what we hear, think, or believe against His absolute Truth by studying scripture for knowledge and understanding.
Guided Prayer:“LORD, thank you for your unfailing and unchanging Word! Thank you that we can have a Truth to know and stand on in an ever-changing world full of ever-changing values and beliefs. You are never wrong, and Your Word always holds firm and stands the test of time. Please give me a curiosity that leads to exploration of Truth, and give me a love for your Word that will guide me securely through life!

As I thought more about how God can rescue us in the valley, I realized that the angle in which we see our obstacles, really does matter. Devotional Insight:God allows us to go into crashing waves sometimes for us to 1. Learn to ask Him for help… Pray. 2. Learn to trust Him in the waves. And 3. To allow him to show us His perspective and see the waves from His angle! 4. God is bigger and stronger than anything that you can confront you head on. 5. God is faithful to pick you up and carry you through the crashing waves, if you only you let Him! For He is truly a good good father!
Application: By seeking Him, He shows us His angle on any given situation and shows us that He alone can make us triumph over any given storms in our lives! It's in the storms that He shows us that He is bigger, wiser, and stronger than the storm but He shows us a glimpse of His power, authority and mercy, in our own lives. Through eye witnessed and spirit filled history (in the bible) we see throughout that we need God. Many times in the bible it shows how God's angle is sovereign and sufficient! His perspective gives us a mere glimpse of His power and His mercy.
Challenge:Step out in faith during the hard times and ask God, why is it that I have this huge wave coming at me? What is it that You want me to learn from this experience? How can I see this from your perspective? And finally, acknowledge that He is the only One who can help you through those big waves!
Guided Prayer:“Heavenly Father, Thank you for your unconditional love. Thank you for always lifting us up in times of trouble. Help us to trust you and ask you for your angle and special insight that we can not see from where we stand. We know that You are a loving God and that everything works out for our good for those who love you! We thank you for Your faithful love, in the powerful name of Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior, Amen, Selah!”

In the Little Things: Is God in the Valley?
Introduction
Welcome to the “In the Little Things” podcast! Sometimes, it’s easy to worship God when life is great! When it feels like we are standing on a mountaintop, overlooking His vast creation, an endless horizon in all directions, inhaling fresh mountain air; it is easier to see the horizon or the light. Praise can come more natural! How can we NOT stand there in awe of the Creator? However, isn't God, the God of the valleys, too? When our view is confined rather than expansive, and when we feel lost and can’t see beyond our circumstances, are we trusting? God knows exactly where we are. He can get us out of arms way! He will even walk beside us through the valley the whole time?
True Story: Listen closely as Jennifer shares a very deep and difficult story of her childhood that so many of us can relate to and how we can rely on God's sovereignty , provision, and goodness during our valleys!

Application: God is with you! Always! When you aren’t sure what to do next, turn to Him! As a matter of fact, I challenge you the next time you face a difficulty to first take it to God in prayer. So often, we immediately call a spouse, friend, or parent to express our frustrations, fears, and worries. Next time, take it first to God in prayer. Let Him show you something in scripture as well. And then ask Him to be with you in your conversations before you ever pick up the phone to relate your situation to someone else.
Devotional Insights: God already knows what we need, and our predicaments never take Him by surprise the way they do us. Things that completely derail us don’t throw off His plan or leave Him scratching his head, wondering what to do next. Because God knows all, we can trust Him to direct our steps in complete wisdom and knowledge.
Guided Prayer: Lord, you know all things and are in all things. You never leave me and never expect me to face any situation alone. Whether I see it as trivial or terrifying, you are with me. Please help me to trust and know you are there. Help me turn to You first in prayer and then allow You to speak to me through Your Word before I ever take a situation to another person. Give me faith and let me see You move mountains on my behalf! In Jesus’s name, amen!

Thank you for joining us as we discuss what the bible defines what is "New Creation" versus what is "Transformation". As we navigate these difficult waters, becoming a new creation in Christ Jesus makes all the difference on how we transform into what God has always intended for us to be... Challenge/ Application: So whenever the liar tells you that good people do not "suffer" or that you are not worthy of His free gift of salvation and of being transformed into what He has planned and intended for you to become in Christ Jesus... reject that lie and speak God's Truth of redeeming love for you. Ask Him... "Lord where are You in this suffering and help my unbelief so that I also can be made into a New Creation in Christ Jesus name, Amen!" Stand strong on God's Holy True Word. In order for us to be able to become what God has intended… we must get rid of what baggage we are carrying by asking God to forgive us and cleanse us. Allow Him to His love to transform You into His intended beauty!
Devotional Insight: God knows loves His creation. He never promised that we would not have difficulties. He promised that He will always be there with us through the suffering. Put your trust and FAITH in Him. He will provide everything you need to become a strong and to have peace even in difficult times. Ask God to come into your heart today and He will give you His Salvation and peace.
Guided Prayer:“Thank you for you son, Jesus who suffered and died for our salvation sake. Thank you for the gift of Your Holy Spirit that resides in us at the moment of salvation. Thank you for Your Word that transforms and sustains us during our suffering. We give You thanks in the powerful name of Jesus, Amen.”

Welcome to this week’s “In the Little things” Podcast. In today's world, it seems like time is just whizzing by. It seems like there are not enough hours in the day to do all that needs to be done! From the moment we wake up to the moment we go to sleep, do you find yourself thinking of the “to do” list? Questions start popping up in my mind, like.. “What's today?- It's Monday, I need to...” “What am I going to make for breakfast, lunch, and dinner?” “Is the laundry, done?” “What do we need from the store...” and so on! Well, recently today, Jennifer is going to share a cool story that will hopefully inspire, encourage, and strengthen our relationships and really be able to connect with those closest to us!

Challenge/ Application: So this week, as you face uncertainty, disappointment, loneliness, or if you feel that you are by yourself in this world. Understand that God wants and desires a relationship with you, too! The challenge can be overcome by 1. Making time to read His promises to you in the bible and make a true effort to spend time with him. 2. Allow God to grow you closer to Him so that you also can have an impact in your own community and serve Him in the way your Creator has equipped you! Just as Jennifer prioritizes her time in order to have time to build her relationship with her children, we must also create time to be with our Heavenly Father.
Guided Prayer:“Heavenly Father, Thank you for your unconditional love. Thank you for giving us a chance to be loved by you! Thanking for your promise of never leaving us or forsaking us. Jesus showed how tangible your love is for us, that he even died for the sins that we've done in our past! So just like you said in Your word ...[Romans 8:38] We know, God, that You long for a relationship with us and NOTHING can separate us from Your LOVE! DEVOTIONAL PODCAST “In the Little Things” - #8 “What Does beautiful Look Like”
Welcome to this week’s “In the Little things” Podcast. This life is a very fragile thing because many times we look for approval and support in all the wrong places. We can look at magazines, social media, peers, even television and start to compare ourselves to them. In this weeks podcast we will be looking at how 'beauty' is perceived and the lens that matters in evaluating our own beauty. Thank you for joining us this week... as we have several stories to share about what is truly beautiful....
How does the dictionary define “Beautiful”?
Having qualities that delight or appeal to the senses and often the mind. Excellent; wonderful. Used to express approval or delight.

(Genesis 1:27) “Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.
(Psalm 139:13-16) “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in.”

Challenge/ Application: Whenever you find yourself feeling less beautiful than someone else, stop and remember WHO is the judge of all REAL beauty. In Who's eyes does beauty come from and truly matter. Remember that God does not make mistakes. He is not a god of confusion, doubts or lies. If He declares YOU are worthy to be created wonderfully and perfectly… ...than YOU ARE HIS BEAUTY, HIS TREASURE and VALUABLE! YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!
Application: God is our great Revealer and Truth!. He wants to know that you were created with the purpose of delighting Him! He delights in the beauty within you and with time (as you mature in the walk with God) others around you will have their eyes open to see your inner and outer beauty! [Daniel 2:19-23]
Devotional Insight: God knows your beauty and worth. For He created you and equipped you exactly how you could best represent His beauty to those around you. Every fiber of your being… He knit together before the foundations of the earth. Nothing and no one can diminish your beauty, value, or worth, from it's original design and purpose… TO DELIGHT GOD! So when the liar comes to you and says “Look that one is more beautiful than you.” Rebuke and declare the Truth of the Creator Loving God that created you in HIS BEAUTY and PERFECTION! Not our own… I have a good friend Gail… When you call her and she cannot answer… the message on her phone is “Make up can cover your blemishes but true beauty is only found in Christ Jesus!” God within us and through us is our Beauty!

Welcome to this week’s “In the Little things” Podcast. As we sit in the second week of this new podcast with my good friend, Jennifer. I find myself having a hard time with focusing my mind on things of God. (Colossians 3:2) “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” The world noise just keeps getting louder and louder BUT God's voice and love is more and more powerful for those who live in Christ! For when we become children of God, it's His voice, His guidance, and His laws that keeps us, sustains, and ultimately gives us peace. Case in point...

God uses our circumstances to refine us, shape us, mold us, and sanctify us! In essence, He wants to grow us (in maturity) and bring us closer to Him. He wants us to become more and more like Jesus! HOW? Well, first and foremost we need to Admit we need God! Sometimes our pride can get in the way of this first step. We can believe in our own abilities, power, and wisdom. We need to humble ourselves and realize without him we are nothing!

(Jeremiah 29:11) "Set your minds on things that are above not on the things on earth!"
(Romans 8:37) “Yet, in ALL things, we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming VICTORY through HIM who loved us [so much to come down out of Glory and die for our sins to be forgiven]

CHALLENGE:Once you've learned your faith's ABC's … then and only then will the circumstances in your life no longer shake you up! Stand firmly on the Word of God and be in His Word everyday so that It will grow deep roots within your spirit and soul! God's promises are absolute and never changing! His love is intentional and eternal for you! As your loving “ABBA Father”, His word says:“I will never leave you or forsake you!” He will give you what you need (not what you think you need) He has sustained you this far, hasn't He?!
Guided Prayer:“Heavenly Father, Thank you for your unconditional love. Thank you for always patiently and lovingly walking with us in all our circumstances!Help us, Lord, to always put away our pride. Help us to seek You and hold fast to Your Word/ Promises! In Jesus Name! AMEN"

Jennifer and I have known one another for about twelve years. We met at our local church and have been such great friends since. We have many things in common. Apparently more than I had imagined. Both our husbands are techy and love the outdoors, for example. Although we both share many commonalities, we are very different in some ways, also. Just recently we found out that our backgrounds are very similar but our interests are very different. I say this, to tell you that having her on this podcast will give you a broader and more interesting viewpoint on the topics we will be covering! So I am very very excited to introduce her to you and to have her on this podcast! It's going to be great!

Welcome to this week’s “In the Little things” Podcast. Last week I told you how I accidentally flipped my car on the way to work one day and how God was so faithful to sustain me and protect me, even if it’s from myself. Sure it’s hard for me to look back and recognize my own stubbornness and mistakes. But I know that God can and will use my mistakes and my imperfections to point to His perfection and His provision! ~I wish I could say that I am always prepared for the lessons I have to learn, but the truth is that sometimes I don’t even know I have a lesson to learn! It always seems that a lesson is about to come when I think I have everything figured out!It’s usually when I try to put myself at the top of the hill, where God reminds me that that is not where I’m suppose to be. It’s through these subtle and “little” reminders that God has taught me to stay humble and seek Him to help me get down off the hill of pride.… The journey down has never been guaranteed to be easy, pleasant, or even gentle! But sometimes it’s just quite embarrassing!
Scripture: “Let me share with you another story.” In the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, it defines the word ‘embarrassment’ as being uncomfortable, disturbed, or being in an awkward or confusing situation. You may think that there are no “embarrassing” situations in the bible. But the truth is … There are many! For instance, in the book of Jonah, Chapter 2, Jonah is swallowed up by a whale or large fish! In the book of Genesis, Chapter 6, God tells Noah to build a huge ark in the middle of a desert! And so on…. Think about it for a moment. How uncomfortable and embarrassing would that be to have all the people you know find out that you were stuck in a fish’s mouth! It would be like posting it on the internet today and having everyone know your mistake! But interestingly enough, when you read these bible stories to children in Sunday school, Firstly… they laugh and secondly, they will get embarrassed, feel sorry, or concerned for the characters in the story. ~The one thread that underlines most of these situations is how God deals with puffed up attitudes, or pride, and/or disobedience. God generally teaches us through a personal storm. He humbles us to realize Who God really is and why He does what He does is for our own good! Every step and even every misstep has a purpose!
Challenge: “Once in a while we need to ask ourselves, Why did my life take the turns it did? What did I learn from mypast experiences? and How has God revealed His unconditional Love to us?”Please read the following verses and write down your thoughts in your Journal.
(Genesis 6, 7, 11) (Numbers 22:21-33)(Judges 14), (Jonah 1-2).
Devotional Insight: Nothing! Nothing! Nothing is a surprise to Our Heavenly Father! He always knows our vulnerability, weakness, and mistakes even before we know, yet He loves us deeply and profoundly through each step we take! He promises to walk through the “high and low” chapters of our lives and never will hurt us or forsake us! He is faithful! He is a Good Good Father! And He knows when to show us we have strayed, disobeyed, or we are acting foolishly! We need to be teachable and allow ourselves to be molded by Him.

Application: Now how does this story relate to God and “little things”? Sometimes we think God doesn’t really care about things that we consider small and insignificant. Things that are not really considered in the mainstream as important; such as stopping and noticing a “lonely horse”, stopping to smell the roses, or something that doesn’t impact our lives greatly. You may think to yourself, “there are more important things I need to pay attention to or do at this very moment, than that!” But, God uses everything and sometimes He uses, what we think as insignificant, to show us how much loves His creation and show how faithful His love truly is. He loves to display His love to us!! The bible says, that even the smallest of sparrows are precious to Him but you and I have more worth to Him that anything else He has created. The thing is, YOU MUST BE WILLING TO STOP AND BE WILLING TO LISTEN to Him! Stop the busyness and put your focus on Him and who He what He is trying to communicate to you.
Scripture: Let me share with you another story. (Luke 10:38-42) : “While they were traveling, Jesusentered a village, and a woman named Martha welcomed Him into her home. She had a sister named Mary, who also sat at the Lord’s feet and was listening to what He said. But Martha was distracted by her many tasks, and she came up and asked, ‘Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to serve alone? So tell her to give me a hand.’ The Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and upset about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has made the right choice, and it will not be taken away from her.”
Devotional Insight: In order for us to hear the Spirit’s calling and see God “In the little things”, we must know His voice! We must recognize our shepherd when he calls us to draw closer to Him, when He needs us to listen and learn what He has for us! That day, that I passed that pasture, I skipped my morning devotion because I was running late and didn’t have time, but usually I would begin my day reading and immersing myself in God’s word. God knew my heart, he knew my intentions and he knew that I had something to learn that day. Despite my rush, He knew I craved His presence! … So He had me “slow down and just listen”.

Title: The gift of Laughter
Welcometo “In the Little things” Podcast. Are you seeking and desiring to see God in everything, even in the little things of life? Or are you like me that can not see passed herself in times of difficulties or hurdles. Hi I’m Annabelle Ardent and I’m here to tell you that life is hard and sometimes a bit unfair. But God is always good and always Just with His mercy. He knows if we had our way and just lived our lives always on the mountain top and always victorious, (which is not what God ever promised) God knows we would always attribute our triumph on ourselves and never understand why Jesus had to go to the cross. ~ I once heard that empathy is something that has to be learned. If you are a parent or ever around children, you will see that young children feel empathy until you teach them what it is. I don’t believe God invented empathy because it was man who chose sin in the garden of Eden, but I think God perfected empathy when Christ died for us on the cross. He didn’t have to come to save us through all the pain and agony, but He chose to fulfill His promise to us and in doing so, He showed us tangible empathy for us and taught us to empathize with one another. For God is the embodiment of Love itself and with love comes patience, kindness, gentle hearted, self-control… and many other strengths and blessings form God. God sometimes shows his love through humor… Case in Point....
Challenge: Read and Write down your thoughts in your Journal. (Genesis 21:1-6) (Job 8:21), (Psalm 4:7), (Psalm 32:11), (Psalm 126:2), (Ecclesiastes 3:4), (Proverbs 15:13), and (Prov 17:22).
Application:Have you ever encountered God’s humor like that! Perhaps you have seen His humor in a bumper sticker, or in the laughter of a child, or in a funny cloud or balloon in the sky, or in some writing message in the sky? When you least expect it, it’s as if God reaches your heart as if He just wants to make you ‘smile’! God gently is reminding you… “I’m still with you, I’m here!” He has Never left you and will Never abandon you! Sometimes God’s humor comes in the form that you would think of. For instance, I think of building a huge ship in a dessert, like Noah. Or how He has “little” young David, kill big and huge Goliath. Or how Sarah had her first baby at age ninety six. Or how the Savior of the world was born in a stable or how I managed to finally get my mom dressed after struggling for twenty minutes. “Thank you God for making us laugh!”
Devotional Insight:
How do you apply laughter in your everyday life!? By seeking and trusting Him during every difficult time. Always looking for Him, even “In the Little Things.” Ask Him, “Where are you, Lord?” You’ll be amazed how He shows himself to you! He is our greatest advocate during our grief, struggles, and painful moments! But He is sometimes the only One who can know us well enough to make us laugh! He is our Creator. Welcome to “In the Little things” Podcast. Title of this week's Podcast: " UNSCATHED"
Scripture: “Let me share with you another story.” There once was a man by the name of Daniel. Daniel was a servant of a King of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar. He was a loyal servant to the king but he made the decision to worship and obey the true Living God, despite the king’s law of the day, to worship only him. Daniel was favored by Nebuchadnezzar but eventually he was thrown into the lion’s den for disobeying the king. In those days, everyone who was thrown to the lions never came back out alive. However, because of Daniel’s strong faith, the king even knew that Daniel walked with the true living God who would protect him and keep him safe. For the King said to Daniel “Your God, whom you serve continually, He will deliver you.” ~ As the night continued, God protected Daniel by shutting the mouths of the lions, so that they could not devour Daniel. When morning came, King Nebuchadnezzar ran to Daniel in hopes that he was okay. The king screamed, “Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions?” Which Daniel, replied “O king, live forever! For my God, sent His angel and shut the lion’s mouths, so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent before Him, O king, I have done no wrong before you.” and Daniel was UNSCATHED!
Challenge: “Once in a while we need to ask ourselves, Why did my life take the turns it did? What did I learn from my past experiences? and How has God revealed His unconditional Love to us?”Please read the following verses and write down your thoughts in your Journal.

Application: God always goes before, those He loves and has called to His purpose. Those who are faithful and seek Him, even in adversity. When You ask Him for help, you will find Him! We must stand firm on our faith and believe that in hard times, God will be our protector, rescuer, and give us a way out. We must trust Him and know that He has an army of angels that will always protect us from evil and in doing so, those around us will know that Our God is a true and living God, that always intercedes and advocates for us during our trials.
Devotional Insight: God is bigger than any circumstance and He is sovereign over all circumstances. Believe that He will equip you to prevail in adversity and will intercede for those who are unrighteous judged guilty. What I love about Daniel’s story is that God simply “Shut the mouths of the lions”. Mountains didn’t shake and unshackle Daniel. Earthquakes didn’t occur to open the gates holding Daniel in the lion’s den. No huge massive event happened to take place in order to save Daniel. The miracle was that the angel of God simply closed the mouths of the lions. God showed up with His power. His angels protected Daniel by simply closing the lions’ mouths so that they could not eat him! It was a “Little” or simple thing, in the scope of what God could have really done to show His power to the king and to Daniel. God simply protected Daniel when he called out to Him!!

Welcome to episode #1 of “In the Little things” Podcast. Are you seeking and desiring to see God in everything, even in the little things of life? Or are you too distracted and busy to feel His embrace around you? I’m Annabelle and I am here to tell you, first, You’re not alone if you are feeling overwhelmed with is known as “life” and secondly, I want to encourage you because God is bigger than our circumstances, experiences, emotions, or disappointments. As my first podcast, sure I’m a little scared but I’m even more excited for the opportunity to share my stories of how God uses everything for His Glory!
Devotional Insights:… In order for us to see God’s blessings and how He created us to delight in Him. We must seek Him even in the little things. We must learn and yield to the Holy Spirit as it guides us to recognize His love in the mist of “the Little things”! No matter how small something or someone is…. Remember God created it that way, for His delight, not ours. We are to partake in His blessings and seek Him for insight as to where He is showing us his love, guidance, correction, conviction, and blessing!
Guided Prayer:…“ Heavenly Father, help us to see You, feel You, know You and draw closer to You! Help our spiritual eyes to align themselves to Your Spirit! Help us not to look at a book (person) by it’s cover but help us to see all things from Your perfect perspective ~ Love! Help us to see ourselves as perfect vessels, as you created us in Your perfect image! Help us to love one another and reach out to them for the sake of the gospel, their salvation, and for Your Kingdom! Let Your will be done Lord in our lives. We ask this in the powerful and glorious name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth! It’s only in His name we pray! Amen, Selah!”
