The main theme of this episode is to remember that Jesus is our first love, no matter if you're single or in a relationship!

Everyone knows what dreaded holiday is in February, right? It’s Valentine’s day. In this episode, I want to encourage you! For years, I was always sad and frustrated that I was single. But I think I was missing the point. As Christians, we already have a first love. This isn’t your boyfriend, fiance, spouse, or children… Our first love is our Heavenly Father! He is waiting for us to LOOK UP and see Him. He is a jealous God and He wants our love and attention.

Kayla was born and raised in Portland, Oregon and has recently moved to Phoenix, Arizona. She's not always had an easy road like many of us. For years she struggled to trust that God really did have a good plan for her future because she constantly lived in the shame of destroying her past. Through a relationship with Jesus, she realized it was never about what she could do or how good she could be, but what He could do through her. The toxic relationship cycles and mindsets Kayla battled for years had finally shifted and God had her FULL heart. Now Kayla is passionate about helping women see their worth and reminding them no matter how easy, comfortable, or tempting to never settle in life, love or faith. There is more!

In today's episode, we will be talking about how waiting seasons are crucial! Here are some examples: 

• A runner doesn’t run a marathon when he starts out his writing journey. I have started running, and honestly, I can barely run a mile without being out of breath. A runner needs to practice almost every day if he wants to run such a long race!
• Like I said before, a writer doesn’t publish a best-selling book right away. They have lots of things that people haven’t seen before.
• A speaker doesn’t “wing it” when he goes to speak. They practice in private before they ever get on a stage.
