Today’s rapid pace of life and work has produced an unparalleled opportunity for all of us to expand our leadership influence and impact. A key factor in being able to seize this opportunity is our capacity to demonstrate personal accountability and leadership regardless of our role or job title. Not surprisingly, this capacity is most often driven by clarity and purpose both of which result from a heightened level of self-awareness. Additionally, this clarity and purpose allow us to define our own personal leadership formula for work and life based on our unique set of skills, experiences and values. Since launching WorkChoice Solutions, LLC in 2000, David O’Brien has invested well over 10,000 hours exploring the wide realm of leadership with a single question in mind. Namely, what separates truly great leaders from all of the rest? To be sure, this pursuit has been a learning continuum driven by countless conversations with leaders and teams all over the world as well as considerable reading, writing and self-reflection. The Discovering The Leader In You process represents the sum of this continuum as well as a framework for creating a deeper level of influence, impact and joy in all areas of our lives. The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders (DCC) are the most recognizable cheerleading squad in the world. Known for their emblematic uniforms, signature kick line and cowboy boots, the DCCs are, unquestionably, “America’s Sweethearts”. With the tagline “often imitated, never equaled”, the DCCs must adhere to what Director Kelli Finglass calls “almost unattainable standards”. So how do the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders live up to these nearly impossible expectations? We’ll find out as I interview DCC Veteran Mackenzie Lee and DCC Rookie Emily Claire!
Many of us are stuck in a less than satisfying existence just marking time. We yearn for a life with more passion, meaning, purpose and/or authenticity. However, trapped deep down are old grievance stories and forgotten agreements with ourselves that lead us to believe we don’t deserve better. We’re seriously challenged to continue living the current version of life we can hardly wait to replace. Yet, at the same time, we feel we need to be “fixed” somehow before we deserve better. So, we’re caught in a nearly impossible catch-22 of wanting to be/have more or better, but not feeling deserving until we are more or better. What a dilemma! This dilemma is ultimately created by how we judge ourselves and our lives, including chastising ourselves for having taken detours in our lives and/or having fallen off our path. What if you knew that there ultimately are no detours, and that you cannot miss the life you were born to lead? What if it’s just a matter of shifting your perspective to be able to see how everything you’ve done ultimately prepares you for the life of your dreams? What if you knew you’re absolutely fine just as you are and just where you are right now to deserve the life you want? In this interview, Dr. Alice Chan will share practical insights on how we can reframe how we look at ourselves and our lives to embrace our power to create the life we want--NOW! www.dralicechan.com

With a foreword by Alberto Villoldo, PH.D. and breathtaking aerial photos by the author, the book is the perfect companion for anyone who wants to step outside their safe place and learn how to spread their wings!

If we are going to achieve our goals, enrich our lives, and discover new horizons - just how do we accomplish that? "Your Richly Imagined Future” is not just a platitude about being a better person - it is about having a greater impact on the people you associate with and developing a solid financial future at the same time. Material will be drawn from Robert's Canadian bestseller "Rich is a State of Mind", showing the parallels between personal and financial development, and how our concerns about personal finance directly affect our lives and our relationship with the people around us. During the discussion Robert will share with you his thoughts about financial leadership, discuss the myths of “financial happiness”, and provide insights into financial questions you may be thinking about, but don't know how to ask your advisor (or may simply be too afraid to…). "Your Richly Imagined Future" covers multiple topics including Motivation, Leadership, Fiscal Responsibility and Financial Growth. How you deal with these topics is critical to your ability to deal with life’s everyday events with the goal of developing solid long-term relationship with your finances. The four key areas are: 1) Understanding your "Current Reality" 2) Developing a picture of your "Richly Imagined Future" 3) Encouraging an attitude for "Disruption" 4) Sharing the power of "Choice"

Cassidy Phillips is a biomechanical specialist concentrating on sports performance, injury prevention, and the muscular structure that supports the efforts of the body in motion. His objective is to recognize the biomechanical challenges of movement and actions of everyday life and marry them with the biomechanical inefficiencies recognized within patterns of movement defined by a sport of choice or through sedentary patterns of movement such as sitting, walking, and running. Once told that he could never be an athlete again due to a muscular dysfunction called Fibromyalgia, it became his personal mission to understand muscular structure and the regeneration of dysfunctional muscle tissue. Instead of going through the traditional methods of schooling in fear that his out-of-the-box approach would be squashed, Phillips tackled countless hours of research to better understand the various methods of massage, chiropractic care, surgical procedures, and the treatment of traditional injuries in sport due to repetitive motion. Phillips gained a solid foundation on Myofascial Release Techniques, a form of massage to address the muscle spindle and the associated dysfunction such as trigger points, adhesions, and other muscular challenges. This process also retrains the pattern of movement by opening up the neurological pathway allowing greater muscular proprioception. After a long process of trial and error, he married his newly found education to his biomechanical background. The result is a line of patented products--called Trigger Point Technologies (TPT)--that mirror the feeling of the human hand. Athletes and non-athletes from around the world have used Phillips and TPT products to implement the use of Myofascial release with the TPT tools with incredible and sometimes life-altering results.

Melody’s work features small affordable art and miniature paintings which she creates with a combination of colored pencil, India ink, watercolor, and acrylic and sells online. Melody creates tiny art of fantasy beings (like fairies and mermaids) woodland animals, and illustrates children’s books. Being a passionate supporter of animal charity and Co Leader of Art For Critters, a percentage of her art goes toward animals in need! Melody’s work features small affordable art and miniature paintings (ACEOs) which she creates with a combination of colored pencil, India ink, watercolor, and acrylic. Is Melody an artist who can also talk to animals—or a lover of fur and paws who also draws like a dream? Her fans can’t tell where one gift ends and another begins. All they know is that the combination has led to some pretty interesting life circumstances, from teaching art in a chicken coop to composing watercolors on horseback. And that may also be why Melody’s renderings of fairies and forest vistas seem as alive as her portraits of horses and cats. All creatures great or small, real or imaginary, inspire Melody’s brush. Having done her time at art school and the gallery scene, with a successful series of commissions along the way, Melody now paints miniature masterpieces in the Berkshire Mountains while tending to a menagerie that includes a horse, a husband, three cats, two kids, and a dog.

Christy Rach is a 32 year old Obstetric Fistula survivor. At 30, when Christy went into labor, and delivered her baby, she had never heard of an obstetric fistula, but she quickly found out what it was. It was the most horrific and devastating condition that a new mother can live with. It took away her dignity, and ability to live a normal life for 15 months. After seeing countless surgeons trying to find someone who could repair her fistula, her search came to an end at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in March of 2010. Christy went in for surgery in May of 2010, and to this day is fistula free. She currently runs a support group called "Living With Obstetric Fistula" where women who are victims or survivors of obstetric fistula can share their stories or receive much needed support during this difficult time in their lives.
