Jesus came to serve. This past Sunday Dave Schneider began our current sermon series, Dethroned, by examining Jesus’ conversation with His disciples on the road to Jerusalem and ultimately, the cross. Jesus has to redirect their ambition and we learn what it means to truly live to serve.

Dave Schneider connects the stories of Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer and Zacchaeus the Chief Tax Collector out of Luke 19:1-10 on Christmas Eve Morning. We can all feel like misfits and outcasts at times, but Jesus came to seek and save the lost, giving us life and hope!

Dave Schneider concludes our Galatians sermon series with Paul’s final words to the church in Galatia. Paul reminds them that they are to be branded by the gospel, boasting in the cross. Paul brings them back to the gospel of grace walking as a new creation in Jesus!

God has ordained spiritual laws that govern the universe and Paul gives us one of these in Galatians 6. Dave Schneider teaches through the “law of the harvest” this week as we consider what it means to reap what we sow. We are called to sow a heart for God and His kingdom believing in faith that we will reap a harvest if we do not give up!

A church of broken people requires unity in Christ, and unity requires humility. Matt Ward teaches through Paul’s application of the Spirit-led life in our relationships within the church body out of Galatians 6:1-5. We are given maturity to restore others and strength to carry burdens.

Every opportunity presented to us offers two responses, we can walk in the flesh, which leads to sin, or follow the Spirit’s lead, which leads to virtue and growth. Matt Ward teaches through Galatians 5:26-6:5 where Paul contrasts the work of the flesh with the Fruit of the Spirit.

David Preston serves with Valor ministries which seeks to reach military personnel for Jesus. David brought the message here at CBC this past Sunday. David used various passages of scripture to guide us into a better understanding of how God has, at times, used the military to accomplish His purposes.

Dave teaches through Galatians 5:1-12 and admonished us to stand firm as a child of freedom, and stand against slavery to the law because our personal growth is at stake!

Dave Schneider teaches through Galatians 4:21-31 as Paul uses an allegory based in the lives of Hagar and Sarah from Genesis to further communicate the difference between salvation by promise and the futility of striving to find salvation under the Law.
