Are Gen-Z pessimistic about their future? Today, I decided to look closely into Gen-Z's "hopeless" future and have them give their opinions on it. I received submissions from Alessandra, Chad, and Diana who comment and give their own experience and outlook on their future as zoomers. I also expand on the meaning of the South Korean term N-po generation and how it portrays the giving up youth.

Today, we’re diving deep into cultural appropriation and exploring what it is. Amongst all my conversations on cultural appropriation, I’ve often noticed that many misunderstand it’s definition or confuse it with cultural appreciation. So through this episode, I wish to clearly explain what cultural appropriation is and explain why people get offended by those who are culturally appropriating. I discuss why non-Natives can’t wear war bonnets, why people can’t profit off of other people's culture, and the reason why certain aspects of the Black community are only reserved for Black people. Through this, I hope to inform people about cultural appropriation and what separates cultural appreciation from appropriation.

Today, we’re talking bout those that have gotten credit taken away, stolen, or their work simply went unrecognized for by the public. From incidents like Charli D'Amelio gaining success from the "Renegade" TikTok trend, to Addison Rae being invited onto Jimmy Fallon to show dances, and the many inventions and trends oftentimes created by Black people that had their hard work go unrecognized. I talk bout why credit is so important especially when everything is digital, and discuss the historic and repeated lack of credit for Black people throughout the years. Through this, I hope to inform, discuss, and voice my opinions on the lack of credit that often happens online.

Racism, minstrel shows, and stereotypes, all of these can be found within traditional animation. Although most of us enjoy cartoons, we never learn or know about it’s dark origins. In this episode of CONNECTING IDEAS, I give a scoop on the impacts of minstrel shows and racists ideals in cartoon and how race can play a role when casting for animated series today.
From Dixie D'Amelio, Megan Thee Stallion , to Lil NasX, TikTok played an important role to further launch their careers. As the app keeps increasing, companies are using it to market themselves or artists, causing the music industry to see a rise in "TikTok" type songs. Some examples include Meg's 'Crybaby', Thugs & Gunna's 'Ski', and Astro's 'ONE' or StayC's 'ASAP'. On this episode of CONNECTING IDEAS, I'm addressing and giving my opinion on ways that TikTok is shaping music.

Creating a new language is very complex and complicated, to make the process easier, most languages borrow words from each other, these are known as loanwords. Most people use loanwords in their daily life without realizing it. In this episode, I will list English words found in the Italian, Spanish, French, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean language as well as words from those languages that are used in English.

After Vogue released their magazine with Harry Styles as the cover in December 2020, it was upsetting to see Harry Styles being credited as the first to wear dresses as a man when many marginalized men have done it before him. In this episode, I will address the issue surrounding Harry Styles on Vogue and spotlight a few men who deserve recognition for defying gender norms. I will also give my own opinions on what labels clothes stores should use instead of using "women and men".
