We’re going to compare it with traditional pixel-based images. So that way you know exactly what type of image to use for your logos, icons, PDFs, and sales page.
In this lesson, we’re learning all about SVG files for creative business owners. If you’re a creative business owner, teaching online courses, or communities, or have a coaching website, you should know what SVG files are and how they’re a little different than pixel-based images, which we will get into.
Challenges online course creators may encounter when they do not utilize landing pages:
• They will not be able to scale their designs up or down easily
• They may not have outputs of different sizes
• They cannot stretch out shapes and designs according to their needs
• They may find it hard to move, rotate and scale points in a design
• They may not have the best standard logo they need for their image and websites
Summary
• There are two types of image files – pixel files and vector SVG files
• You can make the pixel files in Photoshop or with your camera
• The vector files are shapes that can be colored or layered
• You can stretch out the shapes according to your need
• You can move around and adjust the little points to adjust your shapes

• Encourage watching the welcome video and completing the first two or three checkboxes to kickstart engagement and maintain excitement.
• Allow flexibility in task completion timing, acknowledging that students may choose to do the to-dos immediately or at their own pace.

Using your community during events is a great way to make life easier for yourself as the teacher and the students. When you put so much work into an event, it can be over and that’s it. But if you leverage your community, your members and students will continue to enjoy and talk about it which can elevate your community.
In this lesson, we will learn about using your community during events so that your community can benefit from the event for months or even years after. We'll go over the ways to use your community while hosting events.
Challenges Online Course Creators Can Face If They Don't Use Community While Hosting Events for Their Online Course:
• Without leveraging the community, online course creators risk limited engagement from students during and after the course.
• Online course creators may experience reduced student retention rates when they fail to engage their community.
• Failing to leverage the community during events may result in missed opportunities to promote the course and attract new students.
• Without the community's involvement, the course creator's reputation may suffer as students may not feel supported or valued.
• When students don't feel a sense of community or support, their motivation to complete the course may decrease.
Tips for creative online course creators when using community while hosting events for their online courses:
• If you want to level up, in addition to your zooms, go ahead and set up a community room.
• Foster a sense of belonging and connection by creating a welcoming and inclusive community environment.
• Encourage active participation by setting clear expectations, providing prompts for discussion, and offering incentives for engagement.
• Use events to offer value to your community, such as exclusive content or access to guest speakers.
• Collect feedback and use it to improve future events and the overall course experience.
• Continuously communicate with your community through regular updates, announcements, and open channels of communication.

Designing a course curriculum is a crucial step in creating an effective and engaging online course. Your course curriculum serves as the backbone of your course, providing structure and direction for your students as they work through the material.
In this lesson, we'll go over designing your course curriculum, so that way, you can also build out your course curriculum in such a way that helps your students learn with the right sequences, good titles, and excellent teaching techniques.
Challenges online course creators can face if they don't design their course curriculum:
• A lack of structure and organization can confuse learners and make it difficult for them to follow the course.
• Insufficient content can lead to learners feeling like they didn't get their money's worth and leaving negative reviews.
• Poor pacing can cause learners to feel overwhelmed or bored, leading to a lack of engagement and motivation.
• Failing to address common questions or concerns can lead to confusion and frustration among learners.
• Negligence in updating the course content can make it quickly become outdated and irrelevant, leading to negative feedback and decreased enrollment.
Tips for creating online course creators when designing their course curriculum:
• Work from the top with buckets, figure out those modules, get them in the right order, and figure out the right depth and breadth.
• Work on those lessons and put on your project manager hat or get your team to help you out and start project managing to get every single one of those buckets done.
• If you need to, you could launch with just a handful of modules or a handful of lessons and come back in phase two with additional modules and lessons.
• If you want to level up, you can just work from the outside in a very simple bulleted list. Then take those modules and start filling in what your modules are.
• Keep your curriculum focused and organized by setting clear learning objectives and breaking down content into smaller, manageable modules.
• Regularly assess your curriculum's effectiveness by gathering feedback from students and updating content as needed to ensure it remains current and relevant.

Have you ever wondered why some people learn more easily through visual aids while others prefer to listen to lectures or read textbooks? The VARK model of learning styles provides a useful framework for understanding how different people prefer to learn and process information.
In this lesson, we will explore the four types of learning styles and provide tips so that you can teach your students different kinds of learning styles or techniques.
Challenges online course teachers can face if they don't use the VARK learning style for their teaching:
• Students who do not connect with the teaching style may become disengaged and lose interest in the course.
• Students who do not receive information in their preferred learning style may have difficulty retaining and applying it to future coursework.
• Teachers who do not use a variety of assessment methods may not be able to accurately measure their students' understanding of the material.
• Students may feel overwhelmed or disconnected from the course and may be more likely to drop out or lose motivation to complete the course.
• Students who feel that their learning needs are not being met may provide negative feedback or reviews, which can damage the reputation of the course and the teacher.
Tips for creative online course creators when using VARK learning styles:
• Use a variety of teaching methods for a lot of students that are multimodal and learn best with multiple methods.
• Use a couple of different techniques, such as visuals for students that like to listen to you, for other students that like to write and read, and finally, for students that want to do their thing and copy you until they can build their own and then tweak from there.
• You can provide an audio recording of a lecture for auditory learners while providing a transcript for reading/writing learners.
• It's important to use various assessment methods like quizzes for reading/writing learners while incorporating group projects for kinesthetic learners.

As a course creator, you might struggle with how to create the perfect outline, what to talk about, what your modules are and in what order they should be. You may also struggle with how to create a sales page that summarizes the benefits and journey of a particular course topic. It could even be sales related matters like how to create a sales email to let your audience know about these particular topics.
In this lesson, we’re learning about artificial intelligence for course creators so that you can create your courses, outline, lessons, sales pages, and sales emails faster by using AI tools.
Challenges online course creators can face if they don’t use artificial intelligence for their online courses:
• Time-consuming tasks and manual labor.
• Inefficient content curation and personalization.
• Inability to track student performance and engagement.
• Difficulty in providing real-time feedback to students.
• Limited scalability and high production costs.
Tips for online course creators when using AI:
• Try different prompts and different combinations of words. Use specific words. Add an adjective and adverb, and be a little more specific to help out that AI engine.
• Do multiple passes and run a couple of versions, pick out the best ones, mix and match, and then you make your conclusion.
• Start small and experiment with different AI-powered tools and techniques to see what works best for your course creation needs.
• Be selective and critical when evaluating AI-generated content, and refine it to ensure its quality and accuracy.
• Continuously assess the effectiveness of AI in your course creation process, and make adjustments as needed to ensure optimal results.
• Instead of two words, give it five words, seven words, to tell it what you want.

When creating a website, course, or community – it’s important to understand the difference between domains and hosting. A domain is an address book that people use to get to your site, while hosting is the service that serves your content and files.
In this lesson, we’ll go over domains versus hosting for online course teachers so that you can specify the names of your services and have those names point to the web servers that provide those services. You’ll also know how to provide names for each of your services and then configure those names to go to the right places for all your different websites, email, community, and courses.
Challenges online course teachers can face if they don’t understand domain and hosting:
• Online teachers may struggle to set up their websites, courses, and communities.
• If there’s downtime or slow performance, you may not know what to fix.
• You may be forced to use one vendor versus a collection of best in class providers.
• Teachers may complicate the student experience if they don't optimize their hosting names and records.
• You may not know how to fix or grow your technology as you get more customers.
Tips for creative online course teachers when using domain and hosting:
• Your domains hold your global address book, and hosting provides your content.
• Select a domain name that is easy to remember and relates to your course content.
• Choose hosting providers that offer various tiers to upgrade as you need more power.
• Remember your hosting provides address records for all your internal and external services.
• We recommend that you use different companies for domain services vs hosting services.

As a teacher or trainer looking to create valuable content for your clients and students, you may have heard of a Work for Hire agreement. This is a legal contract that outlines ownership and Intellectual Property (IP) rights for work created by a contractor on behalf of a client.
In this lesson, we’ll learn about Work For Hire Agreements to enable you to ensure that every work that contractors do for you is fully owned by you and your company, including resources, courses, community documents, and blog articles.
Challenges online teachers can face if they don’t prepare a Work For Hire Agreement:
• Without a work-for-hire agreement, the contractor may claim ownership of the course content they create, leading to legal disputes over intellectual property rights and royalties.
• The contractor may be able to repurpose the course materials for their use or use by other clients, potentially diluting the value of the course and undermining the teacher’s reputation.
• The contractor may not be bound by confidentiality provisions, which could lead to disclosing sensitive information or trade secrets.
• The teacher may not have the ability to maintain quality control over the course materials or the final product, leading to potential inconsistencies or subpar results.
• Without a work-for-hire agreement, the contractor may not be bound by non-compete clauses, which could allow them to work for competitors or launch their competing courses.
Tips for creative teachers when signing a Work For Hire Agreement with their contractors:
• Clearly define the scope of the work, including the specific deliverables, deadlines, and milestones.
• Ensure that the Work For Hire agreement explicitly states that the client or the hiring party owns the work created.
• Protect sensitive information and trade secrets, including a confidentiality clause in the Work For Hire agreement.
• Establish guidelines for quality control in the Work For Hire agreement to ensure that the contractor delivers work that meets the required standards.
• Include non-compete clauses in the Work For Hire agreement to prevent the contractor from working for competitors or launching their competing courses.

Webinars have become a popular method for online course creators or community leaders to connect with their students online. However, a successful webinar requires more than just a compelling presentation. A well-organized team is crucial for ensuring the webinar runs smoothly, engages the audience, and achieves its intended goals.
In this lesson, we’re learning about webinar event team roles, so that you can set up your team to have all the different responsibilities and features that they need in order to run amazing webinars.
Hosts may encounter the following challenges if webinar event team roles are not assigned:
• Without a moderator, organizer, or host, the flow of the webinar may become disorganized, and the audience may lose interest.
• Lack of technical support may cause technical issues that may lead to the loss of attendees or the webinar being canceled.
• If there is no designated speaker, the webinar may lack structure and purpose, leading to a lack of engagement.
• Without proper marketing and promotion, the webinar may not reach its intended audience, leading to low attendance rates.
• Without a panelist or presenter, the webinar may lack in-depth information or may not be engaging enough to keep the audience’s attention.
Tips for online courses teachers when assigning webinar event team roles:
• Consider scheduling regular check-ins or team meetings to discuss the run of show document about all the stages and who will do what.
• Review key team member rights and be prepared to adjust roles in real time.
• Ensure each team member knows what is expected of them in their role. Assign roles based on each team member’s strengths and skills.
• Provide team members with training like cheat sheets, access, and do practice sessions.
• Use real-time communication channels (e.g., chat, slack, discord, teams) to confirm and handle issues.

Analytics is a process that can be applied to various types of data, including website traffic, customer behavior, sales data, social media engagement, and more. You may have some challenges, like not knowing who’s visiting your website and what they’re doing on your website.
In this lesson, we’re going to learn about analytics for your teacher’s websites so that you can learn about your traffic and know what people are doing on your website, as well as what people are not doing on your website.
Challenges online course teachers may encounter if they don’t track analytics on their teacher websites:
• Without tracking analytics, it can be challenging to know whether students are actively engaging with the course content or not.
• Without analytics information, it can be challenging for teachers to identify areas for improvement or to tailor their approach to meet student needs.
• It can lead to challenges in determining whether the course is meeting its learning objectives or whether changes need to be made.
• Challenge in providing the right type of support at the right time can lead to frustration and disengagement among struggling students.
• It can be challenging to secure ongoing support and resources for the course.
Tips for using analytics for your teacher websites:
• Set up Analytics on each of your main platforms like website
• Identify your Key Performance Indicators; the main things that you’re going to track
• Come up with a system like ‘once a month I’m going to log them in a report’ or ‘Sunday afternoon, I’m going to log into Google Analytics and look at what happened.’
• Start making little changes one at a time so that you can improve your stats and get students to stay longer and prospects to buy more often
• After each successful experiment, update your website and start a different test

HTTP, or Hypertext Transfer Protocol, is the standard protocol used for communication between web browsers and servers. They are three-digit numbers returned by web servers to indicate the status of a requested resource. Also, they provide information about whether a request was successful or not, and what action the client should take next.In these cases, the server responds with an HTTP status code that informs your browser about the outcome of the request. These codes range from informational messages to errors and redirections. When did you first realize that you were creative? Was it during your first dance recital in 1st grade? Have you been singing since you could remember? Maybe you just discovered that you love creative writing. As creative teachers, all of us have experienced a pivotal moment in which we realized that we possessed a creative spark. We recognized that we had a natural gift or skill to express ourselves in an outstanding way, and others appreciated our art. What Is the Theory of Multiple Intelligences? The theory of multiple intelligences was created by Howard Gardner, a psychologist and Research Professor of Cognition and Education at Harvard. In 1983, he explained his theory in one of his first books, presenting the idea that people are not born with all the intelligence they will have during their lifetime and that they will acquire new knowledge as time progresses. While the theory of multiple intelligences can be beneficial, it’s important not to let it consume your course. You can’t please everyone, so just focus on a few and incorporate more as you can. Using the intelligence theory, you can create assignments that cater directly to your students’ natural skills while introducing them to new ones. For more details and tips check out the full writeup at:https://www.artsycourseexperts.com/theory-of-multiple-intelligences/If you have any feedback or questions, let us know in the comments.Get email tips for creative course creators: https://www.ArtsyCourseExperts.com/SubscribeSubscribe on YouTube for our newest videos: https://youtube.com/@artsycourseexpertsSubscribe to the Podcast if you prefer audio: https://www.ArtsyCourseExperts/PodcastWe help creative teachers build, operate, and grow their online courses by helping them with marketing, content, technology, and operations.Hope this helps you teach a little bit smarter!- The Artsy Course Experts teamWebsite: https://www.ArtsyCourseExperts.comTwitter: https://twitter.com/ArtsyCourseExpPinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/ArtsyCourseExpertsFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/ArtsyCourseExpertsYouTube: https://youtube.com/@artsycourseexpertsFavorite Resources (Some with Affiliate Links)• Thinkific for courses - https://www.ArtsyCourseExperts.com/get-thinkific• Canva quick graphics - https://www.ArtsyCourseExperts.com/get-canva• Mailchimp for Email - https://www.ArtsyCourseExperts.com/get-mailchimp• Envato for images - https://www.ArtsyCourseExperts.com/get-envato• Fiverr quick Help - https://www.ArtsyCourseExperts.com/get-fiverr• Descript fixes videos - https://www.ArtsyCourseExperts.com/get-descript• Bluehost for website - https://www.ArtsyCourseExperts.com/get-bluehostNeed tech help with your course, teacher website, or community?https://www.artsycourseexperts.com/course-operations-services/Struggling with some course thing? One way to make online courses more accessible and affordable for your students is to offer course payment plan options. Payment plans allow students to spread out the cost of the online course over a period of time if they can’t pay for the full amount upfront. This can be especially helpful for students who may not have the financial resources to pay the full amount before they learn the new higher-earning skills.Payment plans may also be helpful to teachers if they haven’t finished the course yet and they are releasing them over time. In this lesson, we will explore what a payment plan option is, how it’s beneficial to you and your students, and the difference between payment plan options and one-time payments. These are some of the potential problems that online course teachers could experience if they don’t offer payment plan options:• By not offering payment plan options, you may be limiting the accessibility of your course to a certain group of people.• If potential students are unable to afford the upfront cost of your course, they may opt to take a different course that offers payment plan options.• Students who have to pay the full price upfront may feel overwhelmed with buyer’s remorse and may request a refund.• Without payment plan options, course teachers may be unable to generate the extra revenue that comes with students paying by installment.• Teachers may be forced to use a lower total price to acquire new students, instead of a higher price course with an installment plan option. Here are some final tips for offering course payment plan options:• Consider how many installment months you will spread the payment over• Think about how much more the payment plan will be when compared to a discounted full payment• Will all payments be the same amount or will the first payment be larger• Ensure you clearly communicate the payment plan terms and conditions with your students• Use Stripe or PayPal to automate payments and subscriptions and to reduce financial errors• Stay organized and keep accurate records of payment plan agreements and payment totalsFor more details and tips check out the full writeup at:https://www.artsycourseexperts.com/offering-course-payment-plan-options/If you have any feedback or questions, let us know in the comments.Get email tips for creative course creators: https://www.ArtsyCourseExperts.com/SubscribeSubscribe on YouTube for our newest videos: https://youtube.com/@artsycourseexpertsSubscribe to the Podcast if you prefer audio: https://www.ArtsyCourseExperts/PodcastWe help creative teachers build, operate, and grow their online courses by helping them with marketing, content, technology, and operations.Hope this helps you teach a little bit smarter!- The Artsy Course Experts teamWebsite: https://www.ArtsyCourseExperts.comTwitter: https://twitter.com/ArtsyCourseExpPinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/ArtsyCourseExpertsFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/ArtsyCourseExpertsYouTube: https://youtube.com/@artsycourseexpertsFavorite Resources (Some with Affiliate Links)• Thinkific for courses - https://www.ArtsyCourseExperts.com/get-thinkific• Canva quick graphics - https://www.ArtsyCourseExperts.com/get-canva• Mailchimp for Email - https://www.ArtsyCourseExperts.com/get-mailchimp• Envato for images - https://www.ArtsyCourseExperts.com/get-envato• Fiverr quick Help - https://www.ArtsyCourseExperts.com/get-fiverr• Descript fixes videos - https://www.ArtsyCourseExperts.com/get-descript• Bluehost for website - https://www.ArtsyCourseExperts.com/get-bluehostNeed tech help with your course, teacher website, or community?https://www.artsycourseexperts.com/course-operations-services/Struggling with some course thing? Add that to the fact that some of us aren’t teachers by trade, and you’ve got a recipe for disaster.Luckily, the educators that came before us have already carved out the tricks of the trade when it comes to creating quality courses. There are several theories, formats, and templates that can help new and experienced teachers create courses that any learner would want to take.A framework is an established set of steps or standards teachers can use during course development. Using established frameworks makes your course more credible, professional, and aligned with general teaching standards. After all, everyone has taken a course before, whether in high school or the workplace, which means they know how a course is supposed to flow. The framework we’ll explore in this section is called Bloom’s Taxonomy. Let’s learn more about it and how it can help you create an amazing online course for creators! What is Bloom’s Taxonomy? When taking a course, teachers will ask students to demonstrate what they’ve learned. This can be done in many ways, such as quizzing, discussion boards, or reports. Using more modern technology, they can also do this through voice recording, YouTube videos, or various apps on our mobile devices. In today’s educational environment, students can tap into their creativity to show what they’ve learned and how they’ve learned it.What Bloom tells us is that there’s a hierarchy when it comes to these learning demonstrations—they are not equal! Just think about it. As a teacher, can you assess a student’s knowledge of makeup application techniques through a multiple-choice quiz? Perhaps. Now, can you assess it better if you ask your student to record themselves applying makeup to a mannequin? Definitely! All learning is good learning, but as creative teachers and experts, we must remember to keep the learning balanced by having a good mixture of assignments and assessments that challenge our students’ understanding of the course topic. This is where Bloom’s Taxonomy steps in.Bloom’s consists of 6 categories. The categories in order are:Remember (Most Basic Stage) 1. Understand 2. Apply 3. Analyze 4. Evaluate 5. Create (Most Advanced Stage)Here are a few final tips on using Bloom’s Taxonomy for your online course lessons:• Start by explaining and defining the core words and components• Check that your students understand and can explain your examples• Go from passive digesting to active demonstrations in the applying phase• Add more complex and multi-part problems in the later analyze stages• Creatives should be able to compare and contrast in the evaluate stage• Designing and developing creative works will demonstrate the broadest application of skillsFor more details and tips check out the full writeup at:https://www.artsycourseexperts.com/blooms-taxonomy-for-creative-teachers/If you have any feedback or questions, let us know in the comments.Get email tips for creative course creators: https://www.ArtsyCourseExperts.com/SubscribeSubscribe on YouTube for our newest videos: https://youtube.com/@artsycourseexpertsSubscribe to the Podcast if you prefer audio: https://www.ArtsyCourseExperts/PodcastWe help creative teachers build, operate, and grow their online courses by helping them with marketing, content, technology, and operations.Hope this helps you teach a little bit smarter!- The Artsy Course Experts teamWebsite: https://www.ArtsyCourseExperts.comTwitter: https://twitter.com/ArtsyCourseExpPinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/ArtsyCourseExpertsFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/ArtsyCourseExpertsYouTube: https://youtube.com/@artsycourseexpertsFavorite Resources (Some with Affiliate Links)• Thinkific for courses - https://www.ArtsyCourseExperts.com/get-thinkific• Canva quick graph
