Okay guys hold on to your hat! Cass brings the heat and opens up the rawness of a ton of shadow experience and how he and his wife over came it and start teaching what they learned. A little about Cass.

Cass has been privileged to work with 3200 men in my first 22 months of business. Kathryn wife, just over 1000 women. They have the ability to polarize their audience with their story, their out-of- the-box thinking and really, the lessons they have learned to save their toxic, abusive and sexless marriage. They are also incredible at creating systems that circumvent the "normal" way Society encourages saving or, even simply, helping struggling marriages. Cass, as a managing, self-aware, severe narcissist who only knew 7 day anger binges and how to emotionally abuse, physically and sexually assault his wife... It’s no wonder they separated 7 times... He had restraining order and 1 year of probation after being charged with assault… He was going to lose it all. So Cass began to learn. 14 years of therapy did not work. Court mandated anger management... nothing. It's no wonder Society's solutions are not working, and divorce rates are climbing. Cass got to work. Kathryn followed his lead. Between Cass and Kathryn, They have spent $380,000 on courses, certifications, diplomas, degrees, books and countless coaches and mentors. With 250K followers and growing it feels like their mission is inevitable!
We talk about the nice guy syndrome, and how men have lost the ability to be strong and be there for themselves and others. He also mentioned some readings and the "nice guy triangle". Huge thanks for him to join us you may not agree with everything he says but you definitely will learn from this conversation!

He also suggested to read (listen to) "No More Mr Nice Guy". written Dr Robert Glover!
I've started it and it’s very eye opening......

This was a fun episode! Talking about dreams and how they can motivate or sabotage us. Confusing dreams with wants or needs can create a smaller steps forward because ego doesn't want us to be too successful. Seeking to see what we are really asking for with the dreams without the fear of actually blocking what we want. It seems a little weird thinking dreams can actually keep us from getting want we want or deserve. We’ve pointed out the limitations of our core wounding and how it can interfere with our true needs and wants. Feeling back to the old saying “dream big” which is given to those that are more afraid of success then failure. We also tap into why some don’t dream, or why they don’t remember them. It is important to write dreams down when and if you do remember them. We can also help getting into the natural dream state by not eating too late, journaling what subject of the dreams you would like to explore and having the intent to remember them. Touching on lucent dreaming and how to work to get to that state for more help in seeing what is available. All in all there are many lessons in dreaming and in the not dreaming. So keep a journal by your bed, create and intention to dream and write them down after the dream not waiting until morning so the real is much clearer.

“I AM”

This one hits me deep. I (Pop) had an experience of this looking to the core of myself and it hit me out of no where. During a Chiropractic Seminar a slide came up and stated simply “I AM”. This made me realize I really didn’t feel like I knew who I was. Hiding behind my strength, I was caught me off guard and it hit my heart so strongly. I cried without feeling weak, what did this mean. Where did this come from. How or what was the lesson this was going to teach me? At that time I didn't feel shame or lack. It actually made me feel happy that I got to explore who I am. Bobby had a similar epiphany, where his heart and soul was opened. Remembering what you do is not who your are. I remember working with a mentor and she asked why I assumed the protector role. I said it what I do, and she said no, its who you are, it not something you just do it’s part of your essence. It would be a great for you to get a sense of your “I AM”. Get solid with that feeling so what others flip your triggers, you can be unwavering in your you-ness! Write “I Am” on a paper and feel in your heart and get to know yourself!

In this episode we discuss if "these pants make my butt look big?" "You can't handle the truth"......Of course, referring back to the Jack Nicholson scene in the movie "A Few Good Men". We discuss how in relationships there are occasionally (sometimes more) questions have that have no good answers. Questions that trap the other person into a no win situation. Then, if that becomes a common theme, how we aren't able to tell the truth. Especially if things have been held against us from previous conversations. We need to be given questions that are, in essence, safe to answer truthfully. We also discuss about how the relationship becomes a competition once the scoring starts. This episode is a little shorter but full of good insight and situational references.

In this episode called “Boneless Wings” we are playing with the untruths we tell ourselves. Dipping (pun intended) into the mystery of boneless wings. We know they are not really wings but it’s okay for the convenience of not having to deal with the bones! It gets a little crazy throughout the episode and a diatribes referring back to the boneless wings. Samantha Bay wins us with our inviting her to cohost with us. Looking at the times we tell ourselves we are unloveable, alone, no one would miss us….we touch on most of these are inability to receive or see that we are each of these. We discuss various views of the craziness in many ways we “boneless wings” ourselves. Samantha and Pop kinda roll into some crazy convos and Bobby just bares grins through some seriously bad puns and strange angles that are attempted. We do get into some very eye opening situations where we lie to ourselves! It a fun and crazy episode.

In this episode we look at the dynamic of the woman's perspective on how they see men's mental heath. What does it look like from the "other side". Samantha Bay joins us on the podcast. She is very dynamic and enthusiastic about helping our cause. Does the conversation change if we add a female to the podcast. She also does counseling in different types of trauma situations. The additional perspective is refreshing. We dig deeper in the dynamic of how men talk and open up in a group of men vs a coed group. Is there a point where the discussion changes? This is a salute to the women in our lives that help us in the long run be the best versions of ourselves. The mental health of our partners directly affects our ability to be honest and open.
Update : some huge and exciting changes coming, stay tuned!

“Flowing with the go” a fun title that looks at how our lives can be directed by outside influences. The opposite of ‘going with the flow’ which can sometimes seen as taking the easiest route. Going with the flow is not a non navigation of life but an awareness of the direction you are wanting to move in your life. Flowing with the go as I see it is going to take you in the direction of where others are wanting you to go. As an example, trying to be something you want others to see in you or that they have conveyed they want you to be. Also, it is changing your personality or path in you career to make someone else happy. These outer influences sometimes push us in the direction other than what is in our best interest. Let's see how we navigate these angles and how we have seen or done this in our lives. Influenced by influencers is different than being motivated by what someone you admired or tried to emulate, Michael Jordan or Randy Johnson were a couple of those for Bobby. Be yourself! Don't try to be someone else ,just be you and maybe use their work ethic to get where you want to go!

This episode is amazing in so many ways! First our guest, Samantha Bay, was/is amazing. There was a lot of insight on how some people who think they are victors are actually victims and the opposite is true as well. Perspective on how you deal with things/obstacles is not always based on reality. Some self-proclaimed victors that hurt others along the way can also be seen as victims. We also discuss how you handle traumas to your life can flow into victim or victor. We've all been through things in our lives that reached the proverbial victim/victor fork in the road. We celebrate those who survive that fork in the road and learn better to handle the next time it happens. We also discussed some people have been taught or experienced that the role of the victim gets them more attention, which in the long run, amplifies the victim role as leading to creating more of that into your life. One of the main things we felt was important is how your past, and/or how you were raised has a huge impact on how we react or act on these roles. Occasionally people feel it may be the hardest thing to work your way through the victor side of the process. We really felt the victim role may be the easier path initially, in the long run its only in the short side of the process.

In this episode we discuss the art of being present, being in the "now". We discuss during the time of depression and/or anxiety, one of the commonalities is depression is linked to being in the past and anxiety has its roots in the future. If we can come into the present, both lessen either or see that they are a part of a mental stirring that creates a false narrative. Tools to become present are breathing or a pattern of something you can use to disrupt the path to both the future and the path to the past. In one case we talk about the example of flicking a rubber band on your wrist to bring you to the present. You can, as a lot of the current gurus chat about, develop a routine in the morning or a patterning throughout the day that draws us back to the present moment. Tasks can also help, having a list of things to do so our brain doesn't flow as easily to the future or the past. Remember fear a main distractor of the present. Knowing where the fear comes from is a huge tool in dealing with it. We'll dive into that in a future episode.

During this episode we chat about some tools to use if you are feeling "alone in a crowd". We discuss the tools of being the Observer, how it can increase your ability to be aware of the people and there actions. Watching the details and getting to be more comfortable with them. Time to practice Independence and feeling into what you can do to to amuse yourself. Using creativity to connect with people and possibly provide inspiration to the gathering. Ideas to create a space for yourself or to have a time to observe or admire the surroundings. It's also time to embrace your introvert(ness). Introverts often thrive in the the solo settings so there can be increased focus and observations to bring you into the present moment. Additionally you can, if you feel overwhelmed, use a breathing technique and come into the present moment. If these situations continually make you uncomfortable, play a game of introducing yourself to the first person you see with a blue shirt or count how many people have red shirts on. We also talk about some energy protective practices you can use. You can do things to distract you from the feeling of being uncomfortable in a crowd either small or large.

A deeper look into men's mental health and how we can get better in touch with our emotions in a safe and healthy way. This episode we're looking at the last six rules of Stoicism. I was not aware of how this could be applied due to how it was (mis) represented to me at an earlier age. The best part of this for me was the way it can be interpreted and fit into the way we deal, connect and show emotions. This is a great topic that give insight into the healthy connections to the emotions that come up. As we have discussed earlier in numerous episodes getting emotional is not just crying or feeling sad. It is a gambit of different feelings and emotions. Boxing emotions in a small category that seems to reflect weakness is how we are taught growing up. Now as we mature and grow we need to find new ways to communicate these strategies and teach our young men.

A scorpion wants to cross a river but cannot swim, so it asks a frog to carry it across. The frog hesitates, afraid that the scorpion might sting it, but the scorpion promises not to, pointing out that it would drown if it killed the frog in the middle of the river. The frog considers this argument sensible and agrees to transport the scorpion. Midway across the river, the scorpion stings the frog anyway, dooming them both. The dying frog asks the scorpion why it stung despite knowing the consequence, to which the scorpion replies: "I am sorry, but I couldn't resist the urge. It's in my nature.
