East St. Louis and CBC remain in the top spots of the HSSC/Scoops with Danny Mac Top 10 Football rankings after a pair of big wins last weekend. There is a lot of shuffling at the bottom of the list after a few big-time contests last week.

Here is the Top 10 list for this week. Just a reminder, we have combined all schools into one list for the fall.

  1. East St. Louis (6-2)
    • The Flyers clinched the SWC title with a 26-7 win over Edwardsville and will finish the regular season with a trip to De Smet to take on the Spartans Friday at 6 p.m.
  2. CBC (7-1)
    • The Cadets defeated Warren Central, Ind., 52-25 last week and will host Edwardsville Friday at 6 p.m. to finish the regular season.
  3. Howell (8-0)
    • The Vikings remained undefeated with a 63-6 win over Howell Central and will play Rock Bridge Friday at 7 p.m.
  4. Cardinal Ritter (8-0)
    • The Lions remained undefeated with a 26-13 victory over state-ranked Hillsboro and will host St. Louis University High School Friday at 7 p.m.
  5. St. Mary’s (6-2)
    • The Dragons fell to Louisville Trinity 34-13 last week and will take on Lutheran North Friday at 6 p.m. to wrap up the regular season.
  6. O’Fallon (7-1)
    • The Panthers won their third straight game with a 52-0 win over Alton and will finish the regular season by hosting Cahokia Friday at 7 p.m.
  7. MICDS (7-1)
    • The Rams rolled to a 35-0 victory over St. Dominic last Friday evening and will travel to Duchesne this Friday in a 7 p.m. start.
  8. Eureka (7-1)
    • The Wildcats bounced back with a 49-21 win over Parkway North and will finish the regular season with a contest against Hazelwood Central Friday at 7 p.m.
  9. Lutheran North (5-3)
    • The Crusaders fell to Lutheran St. Charles 20-18 last week and will host St. Mary’s this Friday at 6 p.m.
  10. Edwardsville (6-2)
    • The Tigers fell to East St. Louis 26-7 last Friday evening and will finish the regular season at CBC Friday at 6 p.m.

East St. Louis and CBC solidified their spots on the top of the HSSC/Scoops with Danny Mac Top 10 Football rankings after a pair of big wins last weekend. Lutheran North rejoined the list with a pair of wins over state-ranked teams over the past few weeks.

  1. East St. Louis (5-2)
    • The Flyers defeated Alton 80-0 to give head coach Darren Sunkett his 200th victory and will get a match-up with Edwardsville Friday at 7 p.m. for the SWC title.
  2. CBC (6-1)
    • The Cadets clinched the MCC title with a 64-6 victory over Vianney and will play host to Warren Central, Ind., Friday at 6 p.m.
  3. Howell (7-0)
    • The Vikings claimed the GAC South title with a 49-14 win over Timberland and will take on rival Howell Central Friday at 7 p.m.
  4. St. Mary’s (6-1)
    • The Dragons rolled to a 45-14 victory over De Smet and will travel to Louisville, Ky., to take on Kentucky power Trinity Friday at 6 p.m.
  5. Cardinal Ritter (7-0)
    • The Lions remained undefeated with a 50-0 victory over Lift for Life and will travel to Hillsboro to take on the state-ranked Hawks Friday at 7 p.m.
  6. O’Fallon (6-1)
    • The Panthers defeated Belleville East 48-8 last week and will take on Alton this Friday at 7 p.m.
  7. Lutheran North (5-2)
    • The Crusaders needed a touchdown at the final buzzer to defeat state-ranked Maryville 36-29 and will host Lutheran St. Charles Friday at 7 p.m.
  8. MICDS (6-1)
    • The Rams bounced back with a 54-13 win over Lutheran South and will head to O’Fallon to take on St. Dominic Friday at 7 p.m.
  9. Edwardsville (6-1)
    • The Tigers need to work overtime to defeat Belleville East 28-27 and will take on East St. Louis Friday at 7 p.m. for a share of the SWC title
  10. Eureka (6-1)
    • The Wildcats lost their first game of the year to Lafayette 20-13 and will look to rebound against Parkway North Friday at 7 p.m.
