I know some people might think that Jesus created a religion which would be called Christianity, but Jesus never intended to create a religion. His purpose was for us to create a relationship with Him. I know it sounds weird but there is actually many differences between the two. Even looking at the interactions with Jesus and the Pharisees, you can tell of the differences of the two fairly easy. Let us what you guys think!

Stop dwelling in the past! One thing I have to constantly tell myself is that I can't change the past no matter what I do, but I can change my now. Learn from the past/failure and get back even stronger than before. God did not just decide to leave you here and that's it. He has plans for you and a purpose. We have to continually seek Him in everything we do. You guys got this! God is with you in everything!

When we think about strength, we often think of a bodybuilder that lifts extremely weight. The strength that we are discussing about is your spiritual strength. Which means when times are tough, when things don't go the way you expect, or when you feel down where do you go? Do we go back into our habitual sin? We have to put in the reps just like a bodybuilder in order to get stronger. We have to get back into Gods word and prayer.

Why does my flesh always cause destruction? No matter what we do if we do what our flesh tells us to do then it reap destruction. "Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit."-Galatians 6:8. Stop trying to be of this world because this world not eternal. Rather go to the one that is eternal which is God. I know it's hard to align our thoughts with Christ, but we have to take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ. Do not try to please your flesh because in the end it will embarrass you.

Are you prioritizing the right things in life? Do you feel like that you should be prioritizing other things that you aren't doing? Whatever it is we all have priorities that we need to get done, but sometimes choose not to. I remembered seeing this quote that Alex Hormozi said, "The reason you’re stressed is you have decisions to make – and you’re not making them." This quote has definitely been on mind lately because it makes me aware of what I need to do in order to be less stressed. Also, in Proverbs 3:6 proclaims, “In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success,”. This is meaning that putting God first will literally lead you to success. It's as simple as that.

Where can someone find peace in this chaotic world? Simple answer Jesus. Even Jesus said it in Matthew 11:28, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." This world is going to constantly try to take your peace away and make you feel overwhelmed, stressed, depressed, etc. The one that can give us peace is JESUS because He knows exactly what we are going through no matter the situation and wants to help. Do not try to find peace in drugs or other substances as that will cause you to go farther away from God. True peace is found in the Lord.

Joy is such a small word but, it is super important in our lives. Every moment that we do not receive the joy that God gives us, is the time the enemy will try to rob you of that joy and install fear/sadness by reminding us of our failures in life. Just like what it says in John 16:33, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Jesus has overcame this world and wants us to receive the joy that He offers us.

We can all think of a time where it was hard to love someone the way Jesus intends us to love others. The only we can learn this trait is by simply being in Gods word and praying without ceasing because our flesh wants us to burst in anger, swear at the other person, or cause harm to another person. That isn't the way God tells us to love someone. We must not give into our sinful/fleshly desires as this can cause serious damage to others around us and even ourselves.

This episode we go over how should one pray as Jesus tells us to do in scripture. Many times we often overthink "how should I pray" and simply God is wanting us to tell Him what is going on. I know that God can see everything, but He still wants to listen to you. Whether you are apologizing about maybe being prideful in a situation, not doing your reading/praying, or even just not simply communicating more to God. God is still wanting to listen to you and He has plans to prosper and protect you, but at the end of the day God tells us to pray without ceasing. This means in everything you do just pray. Thank Him. Ask Him. Talk with Him.

Have you ever felt that God is not with you? We can assure you that God is always with you no matter what you are going through. Even in Psalms 139, King David is saying that even if we hide in the darkness that God is with us. Don't believe in the lies of the enemy because the enemies plans are to kill, steal and destroy. Remember that God is not based upon feeling Him in worship music, prayer or even in church. Your faith is being tested which really shows us how much do we actually trust God. No matter what you're going through God is still with you even if you don't "feel" Him.

God nor the devil can control you. Simple as that. The reason I say this is because many times we think God controls everything, but He doesn't because at the beginning when He created Adam and Eve, He gave the free will of choice. He just told them not to eat from a certain tree, but God did not force them to go eat from that tree. It was on our way decision to eat from tree. Nobody has us on strings like a puppet. If you want something bad enough then you will make it happen. So stop giving excuses on the devil is controlling my life because now you just gave a foothold to the enemy. How does Jiu-Jitsu even correlate with Faith? Well I was able to talk about this with my instructor and realized that actually combining both of them creates a better life. My instructor and I talked about three different areas where Faith and Jiu-Jitsu actually tie into one another such as discipline, training, and community. We both realized that there are actually more ways that these correlate with one another so that is why there will definitely be a part 2 to this! What are the reasons why you do you not want to fully pursue God? Is it because you don't feel worthy enough, too hard, too busy, or maybe even the people around you are not supportive of you. There can be countless reasons why people do not want to pursue God, but are you going to be that person that gives up? No matter how hard it is the reward at the end will be worth it because we will receive eternal life if we continue to pursue God in our everyday lives. So if you want to truly change for the better then I would say to really pursue God wholeheartedly.

Have you ever felt like "why is this taking so long"? Well think about this...it took God 6 days to create everything we see and to create who we are. It took 6 days for Him to create such things. Even our own God uses His time wisely and did not give up on His creations. Now I am not saying everything will be fixed in a couple days, weeks, months or even years. The thing that we have to realize is that we are molding everyday into the person that God wants us to be, but in order to do that then we have to give God our lives. The reason why we have to give God our lives is because He knows SO MUCH more then we do and we can trust Him because no matter what storm is going on right now, there will always be the light shining at the end of it. So don't get frustrated on why you aren't there yet or why you can't have the things you want, but rather enjoy every single day that God has given you and give thanks to Him.

What do you think of when the fear comes up? Or scared? Or afraid? Scared and afraid are actually completely different from fear. In scripture it often talks about how many people feared God, but no one said they are scared of Him. Fearing God means that we have acknowledged His strength and power to where he give Him reverence. I do believe that many christians lose sight of fearing God and honestly there was times where I forget to. That is why we must stay obedient to the Lord in every aspect of our lives because without Him our lives will not have a purpose. We hope you guys enjoy this episode as much as we did. Often times we get so caught up on what other people think about us, but God directly tells us who we are in scripture. Even simply googling "what does God say about me" will have a lot of results. Identity is also find in Christ. I definitely had a point in my life where I did not know my sense of purpose or identity. The moment when I turned to Christ is when I truly found who am I and what God says about me. Do not believe in the lies of the enemy, but rather filled with the truth that God says about you in scripture.
