I have a long history in the healthcare setting starting out as a graduate from Roper School of Practical Nursing with my LPN in 2004! I found my compassion and love for the geriatric population by landing a role as a floor nurse. This gave me the opportunity to provide care while learning from my patients. I later went on to work in care planning and assist with discharge planning in skilled nursing facilities 12 years of experience. I later transitioned into a role to help patients with care in the home and coordinate those home services. Working at Interim Healthcare has allowed me to see care delivered on all levels and the benefit that the continuum of care provides for our patients.

Shannon has worked across many healthcare settings, specializing in Hospice for the past 13 years as a patient liaison and Director of Development. She is a trained Serious Illness educator and has provided countless educations including but not limited to physician groups, AANP, AAMA Conference presenter, skilled nursing/rehab/ALF teams, and the community. She has held chair positions within the Alzheimer's Association and Autism Speaks. She is passionate about patients receiving the right care at the right time and her extensive background with hospice and home health as a trusted community patient liaison and resource makes her a great addition to our growing team.

Before joining the AmeriLife team, Sherry was a Quality Specialist in Charleston, SC. Sherry earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from East Tennessee State University and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix Online. Sherry and her husband live in the Summerville community and have four adult children, five grandsons, and a great-granddaughter. She enjoys all things fitness related and is active in several fitness groups. As a member of Summerville Presbyterian Church, she is an active member of a church women’s group, an elder, and a member of the service and spiritual growth ministry teams.. Recently, she joined "Leading ladies" mentoring elementary-aged girls at a local school.

I am a certified Dementia Specialist. I am also a Master Trainer and co-trainer for the evidence-based program, Powerful Tools for Caregivers, an interactive educational program teaching caregivers how to care for themselves while navigating the difficult journey of being a caregiver. I have been lucky enough to travel extensively worldwide through various career opportunities. I have been married for 47 years, and have 3 daughters and 9 grandchildren. My husband and I enjoy ballroom dancing and spending time with family and friends.
