Hello, Splinterlandians hope your end of season was full of joy and excitement. This season we were going for a top spot on the silver leaderboards we hit 3200 rating and that was still not enough for the top 25. So instead I decided to go up to diamond in the last 4 hours of the season. Little did I know you can't double jump so even though I had 3200 rating once I jumped up to gold I got capped out at gold 1 with 2799 rating. Thankfully I jumped into one battle and won and got up to diamond 3 at the very least.

This season's rewards weren't anything special with the highlight being 612 DEC. No packs, legendaries or gold foils so that was unfortunate but here's looking to next season to bring us some better swag.

What is going on Splinterlandians, in today's video I go on a 75$ shopping spree with my rewards from some of my post payouts over the last month.

I find it so cool and helpful to be able to fund my splinterlands purchases with blogs and content from the game. If you have not yet started doing this yourself you're surely missing out on an amazing opportunity.

Now this will take time to build up a following and start being able to actually earn a decent amount to start doing this. However, over time and with lots of engagement with the communities here on HIVE you will notice your upvotes and payouts will start to go up.

I would recommend starting with the weekly splinterlands battle challenges, as those are a great starting point and have a high chance to get a good upvote from the steemmonsters account. After you start doing those on a regular basis you can add other things like game strategy, talking about your journey in splinterlands so far, what you think about future things coming to the game and so forth. Also, you can spread out into other various communities as well and talk about a bunch of other things as well to start earning.

The biggest key is community engagement and getting more people to come to check your content out. Just simply uploading a post and hoping it gets upvotes will not get you far. You will have to put in the time and effort to reach out to others and check out their content as well. I always enjoy seeing new viewers come through for the first time and comment how my post either helped them in some way or they just enjoyed the read.

What I Bought With My 75$

First on the list was getting Kelya leveled up. I got her to level 3 which will be a big help, I still need 11 more copies to get her to level 4 for max silver league but this was a solid start. To me Kelya is the best summoner in CL of course Quix is amazing and Obisidian too but Kelya along with the additions to water from CL has been a huge buff. Water was always known as the magic comp run alongside Alric or Valnamor but now with Kelya at the helm, the melee side of things has really taken off.

You can pair her with so many great new cards and absolutely wreck opponents with speed and tankiness. Monsters like Deeplurker, Diemonshark, and Flying Squid all stand out as great picks to run her with.

Speaking of Deeplurker he was next on my list. I got him to level 5 so he is starting with 4/4/7 and then going up to 4/5/7/1 with Kelya for a monster with opportunity those are huge numbers and is usually one of the MVPs in water currently. I'm glad I got to max him for the league I play in as I feel he will be invaluable going forward. Put this ugly fish on your radar if your looking to upgrade your water melee comps.

Moving over to life we got the old portal spinner up to level 4. Getting to 3 ranged is a lot of damage and then furthering that with Sloan going up to 4 will make this card hit hard. Now it's speed is an issue as I'm finding with a lot of the life ranged so misses can be a factor as well as not getting an attack off before your opponent. Nonetheless, this car still provides a lot of value in various rulesets like aim true and reverse speed.

Not the biggest fan of scattershot but I find it can be a fun ability and very good in the blast ruleset. As I'm focussed on getting all my CL cards maxed for modern this was just another on the list to finish off before modern comes.

Next up was Celestial Harpy an absolutely amazing card to have. Being only 2 cost with flying and opportunity this card slots into a ton of comps for the life splinter. You can pair it with and inspire and then have a big tank like shieldbearer upfront for lots of damage. The life splinter is very versatile I find having good monsters for tanking, doing damage and providing utility.

For me personally, I like to run harpy in the nasty sneak setup, so you pair her with SS Knight and then a bunch of sneak monsters to assassinate the enemies backline.

On to earth now and I mostly have everything leveled up for CL earth. There is still a few I need to get up there like Grund but this was one of the last ones that I needed to max for silver. Now I get that forcefield ability which is amazing but not as useful in silver league. Seeing as you don't see many monsters go above 5 attack in silver it is not as useful as in the higher leagues.

However, in rulesets like enrage this monster can be an absolute beast, throw him in the backline with a triage monster and your laughing. One of the most used cards in the modern format this slipspawn is sure to be a favourite of many going forward.

Last but not least we got the crypt beetle to level 5 and a gold foil one at that. This is another card that is great being only a 3 cost with shield this little beetle can be a nuisance to deal with. A monster that shines in the little league ruleset you will find many good uses for this little guy.

At last, it is that time again the trusty ole end of season and chest opening palooza this season we had a combined 62 chests to open from both my main account and the @cartel-monster account that I operate for the @oneup-cartel.

Here are the cartel-monsters rewards gaining 9 commons and 5 rares worth a combined $.959 of value. Definitely pretty meager in value this time around however we did get 463 in DEC from the chests as well so that is ok but overall not the best.

And these are the rewards from my main account a total value of $0.74 so again pretty small for EOS rewards, we also only got 85 DEC from the chests as well too so really another sad season for chest rewards between the two accounts.

Now we go into the next season to restart that grind all over again and see if we can have better rewards next time. It is also chaos legion general sale right around the corner are you ready, I know I am. Good luck with all your pack openings and chest openings if you have not opened them yet.

Hey, what is going on everybody today we will be opening the one gladius pack that I got from my last brawl where we placed 2nd and got a good chunk of merits. We will also be opening 5 chaos legion packs in the hopes of getting a legendary or a sweet gold foil to add to the collection.

Overall we didn't get much today unfortunately we pulled the usual 4 commons and 1 rare from the gladius so still no legendary for gladius yet. As for the chaos legion openings pretty much the same lol getting a total value of $16.47 from the 5 packs however we did pull a gold foil rare at least so that is a bonus.

Overall this all adds up and even though they weren't the best openings I'm happy with the gold foil I got. How are you doing with your openings tell me in the comment section below and are you buying up cards at the current prices? They are so low currently and even the gold foils are crazy low so my eyes are peeled on the market for the coming days/weeks looking at some sweet buys.

What is up everybody we are here again another end of the season and more reward chests to open up. This time is kind of special because not only do I get to open up mine but also the ones on the @cartel-monster account.

I got to gold 2 on my main and diamond 3 on the cartel-monster account as their official cartel operator. I tell you it has been a blast playing with all those cards and can't wait to continue on with it. Working with a great group of people and learning a lot about the game while being able to earn some extra crypto as well.

I can tell you finally this was the season we got to pull a legendary so check my reaction in the video you won't miss it lol. I kinda lost it as this was long overdue, if you have been following this series monthly you will know how painful my rewards have been. Not only have they been really bad the past few seasons but I have never pulled a legendary until today, I was so freaking stoked.

What is going on everybody, today I have an amazing battle to share with you all. I recently became the official operator for the #oneup cartel and with that, I have gotten access to the cartel-monster account. It has been a fun grind the past couple of days climbing through all the ranks and sitting pretty up in gold 1 currently ranked #42. As I was grinding up the leaderboards yesterday I faced the one and only @ula.ocean the #1 ranked gold player in the game currently. The ruleset was blast and knock out and there was only water and fire available for the splinters. Thinking they would definitely go magic as magic does work in the blast ruleset I prepared my best magic/reflect lineup.

Battle Link From the get-go I was worried he had Valnamor and I had Alric but worry not as this old man still has some serious wisdom on the young whippersnapper. I went with Lord A and Prismatic Energy as my gruesome twosome, I figured if they go magic my idea was to double reflect everything he threw at me. Lord A having void same as Prismatic Energy was a big clutch in this battle reflecting a ton of that magic right back to him.

The other monster I needed to bring in was ruler of the seas getting that ever so helpful swiftness but also picking up silence at level 3. To even further that I went with elven mystic to get another silence on him reducing his damage to null pretty much. The only one that would do damage is his ruler of the seas. However, I would reflect that damage back and since he didn't have any other monsters with void in the back he ended up hurting himself more than helping.

Source Also, the addition of mermaid healer was clutch as well to sustain my backline. I didn't focus on the knock-out ruleset as they did going with medusa and dwarven wizard to try and get those stuns off and possibly doing a ton of damage. Thankfully they didn't go off and we took out medusa before she could really do anything, that combined with the endless reflects worked him and once we dropped his ruler of the seas I knew it was GG.

So this goes to show that even with a more powerful summoner if you can come up with the right formula you can beat it. That is why I love this game so much there are so many options to go with and the mind games you and your opponent play with each other is so fun. Trying to predict what they will go and nailing it is a great feeling. This was definitely the best win of my Splinterlands career so far and I hope to get many more. What's going on everybody in today's video I'll be buying 145$ in cards. I got a 100$ prepaid credit card for X-mas and what a better way to spend it than on Splinterlands. I was gonna buy some SPS but instead went with cards as I could use them more currently. I'm trying to level everything up for silver league limits and this was a huge help to get me some more cards to be competitive in there. Still, a long way to go to really be on the leaderboards and competing in tourneys but I'm well on my way.

This was a blast I haven't gone on a spree like this and it was almost like buying my first packs. I think going with cards is the better option currently but buying and opening packs is just so much fun.

Here we go again, another season in the books and another 22 reward chests to open. I have been on a serious struggle with my rewards lately. From my daily rewards to my end-of-season rewards they have been terrible over the past few seasons. Yes, I can't complain because getting anything is better than nothing but damn where is my luck?

I use to look forward to EOS but with this constant spell of dryness, my excitement has definitely faltered. I'm not looking for GFL or anything like that I just would like one damn legendary is that too hard to ask? Or at least a decent amount of DEC for once, the amount of 1 DEC drops I have gotten is brutal.

Well that is my rant lol you can see my rewards in the video and I will share my explorer here below.

There they are a whopping 1.442$ in value, no epics or legendaries again. Trying not to get to annoyed about it but I do say it is hard when I see people in bronze pulling Djinn Oshannus. That is why I continue to say don't try to go for chests they are not worth it IMO. If I would have spent the amount of DEC it would have taken to get 4 more chests I most likely wouldn't have gotten much better results.

So over 2k Chests into my Splinterlands journey and still nothing special from them. Thankfully I pulled some good stuff from my chaos legion packs that have soothed this pain lol. Either way, I'm still happy to get something but as of lately it has felt very very minuscule.

Let me know if you are in the same situation as me how many chests have you opened up and are you still searching for that legendary as well? I know it will eventually come but the struggle has been real.

SBT Weekly Battle Challenge Overview Hello everybody how is a going last week I made a post on the new weekly battle challenge hosted by myself @cmmndrbawang and @cutedawako. We each have different themes and will be doing this weekly to reward people for their amazing battles on Splinterlands.

My first theme was winning a battle with a taunt monster and thank you for all your submissions there were some really good ones, and we will showcase them in this video and post.

I tried for days to get taunt in. Finally had two opportunities and won them both with Wave Brood. I chose this battle with @clairv0yant because we both used a new CL taunt, in a similar way. I prefer to taunt from the backline when able. Pair with a reflect damage ability can be really powerful. GG clairv0yant.

I chose this Triple snipe - Taunt combo because I knew @chicken714 would go Magic. I had to hit hard right off the bat and win it early, I also put sand worm in to add a big back row hammer.
