You will hear about Shamonti's experience growing up to the present day as an identical twin to Aima's approach to writing about sensitive topics like the Israel and Palestine conflict. For senior Eliza Josephson, everyday experiences are imbued with her passion for words. It all started when inspiration spontaneously struck at day camp and 7-year-old Eliza constructed her very first poem, what became adopted as the camp’s mani-pesto. Since then, words have accompanied her everywhere: Subway advertisements,her neighborhood of Jackson Heights, and The Phoenix.
