Students from different backgrounds attending Queens Technical High School join together to discuss social issues that are present in our society with their own ideas of how the problems should be dealt with and challenge each other’s views in hopes to create a safe environment for new ideas
The pursuit of education is a costly one: both in finances and time. Scholarships and Grants help to alleviate that financial cost but what about time? 80 to 95% of College students find themselves procrastinating on their coursework after all.
Every year our seniors enjoy sharing with the school their new career path. They are excited to show everyone the colleges they are going to be joining this next fall. So we congratulate all our seniors and best of luck to you all!

Although this is a tragic and beautiful history, today we are going to talk about a more fun part of black history which is African American inventions.

According to the CDC “average age of first-time use of drugs is 13-14” and “9 out of 10 people with addiction started in their teen years” which shows that drug addiction usually starts around the beginning of the highschool career . Tyler Gregory Okonma (Tyler the Creator) was born on March 6, 1991, in Ladera Heights, California. When Tyler was in 8th grade he joined the drama club in his school which might have inspired his later decisions in music and a bit in the entertainment scene. Governor Cuomo legalized marijuana in the beginning of 2021 and he introduced his new plan called The Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act (CRTA). He had said earlier that it will bring "justice for long-marginalized communities."
Some newer sets of laws in Georgia are under scrutiny for being considered similar to the Jim crow laws. Voters feelings will be mixed: it contains new restrictions on absentee voting, while at the same time expanding early voting opportunities. The law does make significant changes to the way the state will run elections moving forward.
