We owe it to ourselves to strive to GROW throughout this journey we call life. Sometimes that involves recognizing our trauma and allowing ourselves to HEAL and move on from the things that no longer serve us. Once we've recognized these things and strive to be the best version of ourselves daily, we BLOOM. Let's go!
The biggest thing to help me with my own battered mindset is remembering life has seasons and no season lasts forever. Just because you couldn't handle something last season doesn't make that true for the current season you're in. Let yourself heal, let yourself grow, let yourself be.
A real, raw heart to heart word vomit of emotions. I'm not in a good season right now. But one thing is for certain; all seasons eventually end, so new ones can begin. Just remember, you're never alone ♡
Sometimes its a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day type of feeling. What matters is letting yourself go through it so you can get out of it. This is my real life glimpse into my bad mood the other day 😆
The person who can have the hard conversations is usually the person people remember. When you respect yourself and those around you enough to be REAL, you grow beyond measure.
The person we had to become in order to survive is not the same person we need to be to thrive. That is not my quite and I take no credit for it. HOWEVER, whatever healing we need to do, let's do it and get out of our own way on this journey called life.
From the little things like daily chores to the big dreams like buying a house or switching careers, let this phrase change your habits. I decided to leave this episode completely unedited so you can get the full effect of my rambling thoughts. 😂 Not sure who to give credit to for this quote, but I claim no ownership ♡
So I was just minding my business scrolling tiktok yesterday morning and @jumpgirl_jump sent me into a literal spiral. A good spiral, but a spiral nonetheless. The exact quote she said was: "You have to start parenting yourself. You have to start implementing discipline. You have to start keeping your promises to yourself." Her videos are so inspirational for physical and mental fitness and I'm so glad I stumbled on her page. However! As always, we need to self evaluate and unpack the reasons we are who we are before we can implement new goals. Discipline included.
It is far more beneficial to worry about being the person your dog or your younger self want you to be than it is to worry about others' thoughts of you. Whatever you went through in life to get where you are now, be proud of that, and keep going.
Half the time our problems aren't nearly as big as we make them out to be. If we let things fester in our mind, our brain does it's best to feed and nurture it. And if we aren't careful, those thoughts can cripple us. We owe it to ourselves to keep our minds and bodies healthy. This is just a snippet of something I turned to the other day when I realized I wasn't in a good headspace and I didn't want to unpack and live there.
It's time we stop minimizing ourselves. Enough with the self sabotage. Let's focus on having the right mindset that will jet set us into our dreams. And that starts with us. Hurt people hurt people. But healthy people support those around them. And together we get stuff done!
This episode is me navigating through a lot of feelings and emotions. This is 90% about family, the ones we choose, and the ones we were given. i promise not all episodes will be like this and I'm not just a dark, gloomy soul. But sometimes these types of conversations are necessary for us to open up our hearts and our feelings to be able to have a breakthrough.
Ps. I was told actual musically inclined people won't love my intro, but I don't care, I'm proud of it.
Thank you for being here, thank you for being you.
