East Milton Square has been the focus of recent planning efforts, redevelopment proposals, and investments. In order to guide a proactive and community-led vision, the Planning Board is advancing zoning updates for East Milton Square building on the recommendations of previous plans. The Planning Board is working with the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC) to facilitate a planning process to develop zoning and design guidelines for this area.

The presentation will summarize proposed zoning changes in East Milton Square for compliance with the Section 3A MBTA Communities requirements and the goals and characteristics of an additional overlay zone to incentivize mixed-use redevelopment. We invite East Milton Square neighbors and Milton residents to join us for an interactive community meeting where you will provide feedback to help define zoning and design guideline recommendations.
