Harvard Graduate Joseph sits down to talk Bitcoin with Jed and I. We met Joseph at the Pacific Bitcoin Conference 2022 in Santa Monica. He is one in a countless list of brilliant Bitcoin minds we met at the Conference. Joseph is in BioTech. He has spent countless hours researching health, pharma, AI, decentalization... He is an amazing resource on many of these issues and has a lot to offer in building tomorrows decentralized societal networks. The first 15-20 minutes of our conversation are missing due to technical difficulties but feel free to jump in and listen.

I hope that it will inspire and perhaps be a blue print for other communities to pull the trigger on starting similar initiatives. It starts with an idea, then a decision to act on that idea, then pull the trigger. Building peer to peer networks on a solid foundation. Connecting people. Grass roots. Relationships.
The Beef Initiative is just one of many peer to peer networks that can/need to be built out in our society. The current system is beyond repair. No political party is going to fix things. Alan and I get to know Alladan founder and creator of BTC Trading Cards. He will be having a launch party at Pacific Bitcoin Conference November 10 and 11 in Santa Monica. East Side Tony is an incredible guy. Tony and I exchange our thoughts on Bitcoin, life, the Bay Area Bitcoin scene, and many other topics. I was thrilled to learn his personal story. East side shares a ton of life experience and wisdom in a humble manor. I am pleased to be a part of the human Bitcoin Network with my new found brother. We both share the Bitcoin mantra: "I will die on this hill". The early Bitcoin adopters is filled with brilliant minds; East Side Tony is a prime example.

I decide to change Alans name from "Bitcoin Jesus" to "Bitcoin Superman" because Alan flies around the world giving away Bitcoin and saving them from hopelessness. Jed and I get the opportunity to speak with Texas Slim. Texas Slim is many things: innovator, motivator, teacher, friend, rancher, scholar, Bitcoiner, ... He is the Father of the Beef Initiative, a grass roots movement allowing ranchers to reach customers directly. Slim advocates for a quality of life in all aspects including nutrition. We had an amazing chat with him and look forward to speaking with him again. The local member of the Redding Bitcoin Center and Redding Bitcoin Meetup plan to help Slim in the venture and are going to go "shake our local ranchers hand". In part 2 we will ask Slim for tips on the best approaches to meeting and building relationships with local ranchers. Thanks again Slim, your doing Gods work and changing the world for the better!

Michael explains the app and how it works. We dive into the Beef Initiative which is a movement that has been sweeping the US. Jed (@BitcoinRedding on Twitter) is the man behind "The Redding Bitcoin Center". He owns and operates the center inside a building he owns in downtown Redding. The center is complete with Podcast studio, learning center, and areas to drop in and work on Bitcoin related tasks. Today we all catch up after having been apart for a couple weeks.
