Lady A's Charles Kelley is now 9 months sober after opening up about his struggles with alcohol abuse in August 2022.
The 41-year-old recently sat down with Kelli of KFRG’s The Wake Up Call and shared more about what his current relationship looks like with alcohol and the journey he’s been on to get there.
“There is nothin’ wrong with drinkin’,” Charles said when asked about his sobriety. “I wish I could still do it, I’m just one of those people that can’t — If I have one, I want to have ten.”
He continued, “It got where it wasn’t fun anymore and I think, for me… I remember being around sober people and I was just like, ‘I don’t get it. Just tell yourself to slow down.’ But eventually, you get to this point where you really can’t. And I think it was just an opportunity to share, ‘Hey, i’s OK to admit this thing isn’t working for you anymore. There’s no weakness in it.’”
Kelley says the key to his success has been his family along with friends who allow him to still have fun while offering encouragement along the way. He hopes his experience will prompt others to get the help they need with no shame tor guilt.
“It’s definitely the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but the best thing I’ve ever done,” he said. “Part of this whole journey for me is to be more honest. I don’t think I wanted to be any kind of poster child for it — a bunch of my friends still drink and we have a great time and I’m just the guy that doesn’t drink and no body even really talks about it. We don’t have to talk about it like that. It’s just like… you get a lot of encouragement like, ‘Hey man, I’m proud of ya,’ so it feels like I’m on a good little track here and that was the biggest thing for me. Just sharing, ‘Hey man, if you’re going through it too, you can get through it and there’s actually a really fun life ahead.

Country Singer Riley Green plays a round of One's Gotta Go with Melissa and Austin! Make sure to listen to his new version of Different 'Round Here featuring Luke Combs!
Scotty McCreery will be headlining the Pala Casino Main Stage at the Temecula Valley Balloon and Wine Fest next Sunday. He caught up with Kelli of The Wake Up Call to talk about the event, which also includes Brad Paisley and REO Speedwagon.
Scotty had his hands full during the conversation as he was trying to multitask promoting the show and feed his son, Avery. Scotty shared that fatherhood is going really well for him. He said he looks forward to getting off stage and seeing Avery or heading home after a show to spend time with him.
Scotty really seems to be balancing his personal and professional life. While obviously being a hands on dad, he's also working on a new album. He told Kelli that the band might try some of the new stuff next weekend in Temecula.
The inspiration behind his current song, "It Matters To Her" and many of his songs is his wife Gabi. With Mother's Day coming up this weekend, he said he's ahead of the game when it comes to presents. He also shared a funny story about the time his mother embarrassed him in high school.
Kimberly Perry of The Band Perry is set to have a huge year, kicking off her solo career by giving fans a second part to her former group’s smash hit "If I Die Young."
For many, The Band Perry's song has helped in dealing with the grief over losing someone young, with KFRG morning host Kelli Green wondering if Kimberly had ever wavered in her decision to update the beloved single.
“There were definitely some inhibitions in going from the initial idea of doing a part two, like updating the story from the perspective of the girl who wrote the song over 10 years later, who didn't die young,” Kimberly admits. “One of the things that was really important to me is that we just didn't rob anybody from the original experience of the O.G.“ The song, she says, “validated so many people's experiences and their feelings. It held hands with people during times of loss. I did not want to step on that or try to rob that from anybody. But it also felt like the right thing to do and the responsible thing to do, honestly.”
While Perry gets set to drop her solo BLOOM EP on June 9, she’s also preparing to become a first-time mom. Discussing what scares her most about motherhood, Kimberly says, “I think maybe repeating some things that I would have criminalized my own parents for. You know, we can set our intentions to do things in a certain way, but I really have started to even wrap my head around the overprotection of, ‘Hey, I'm going to have to make sure that there are moments when I actively let go, you know, of controlling the future of this little person's life.”
“I think one thing that we're really trying to focus on these days are being family and putting that first and foremost, which is a way different Thanksgiving table than when you're kind of talking about, ‘Well, where are we on the chart?’ And, ‘Do we have shows next week?’

Lainey Wilson is back at Stagecoach. Very few artists play Stagecoach back to back years, but there's no denying Lainey's career has exploded over the last 12 months. She told David and Kelli that it's been a work in progress, because she's been working on her career for the last 12 years.
Besides her amazing music career, Lainey has excelled with her acting career thanks to the TV show 'Yellowstone'. Lainey's character, Abby, has a relationship with Ryan, because she revealed which other characters Abby should hook up with.
Bailey Zimmerman is about to take the Mane Stage rocking a Whitney Houston shirt. He explained his on point fashion to The Wake Up Call and why it was meant to be.
Although he's a newcomer, Bailey is handing his success like a pro. Recently a video went viral criticizing Bailey's performance. Bailey response was perfect. He told David and Kelli that the haters are buying his mom a house.
When asked where the craziest place he's been recognized Bailey revealed it was in a bathroom. The story is hysterical.
Nelly is closing things down on the Palomino Stage tonight at Stagecoach. He caught up with David and Kelli about how he crossed over into country music so early into his career. He also gave them the scoop on his new moonshine line MoShine.
Gabby Barrett does it all. She's a mommy of 2, wife, and a talented artist. She's about to play the Man Stage at Stagecoach and the crowd will get a treat tonight, because she revealed to David and Kelli that she's going to play some of her new music tonight. She also shared that her second album will be coming out this fall.
Ian Munsick has the Palomino tent packed yesterday when he performed. He told The Wake Up Call about his experience and why it's made his career highlight reel. He also talked about growing up playing music with his family.
Kane Brown is headlining Night 2 at Stagecoach and he revealed that his wife will be joining him on stage. Together Kane and Katelyn (his wife) scored a number one song with "Thank God". Kane told The Wake Up Call that now people except them to perform together. He said that Katelyn gets anxious about performing live, but usually warms up by the second versus.
Recently a fan threw a boot on stage while Kane was performing and it hit him in the groin area. Luckily, he was ok, but he told David and Kelli that now get some times gets PTSD when performing that song.
Corey Kent's career is taking off. He currently has a top 5 song with "Wild As Her", but during the pandemic he had to set away from music to provide for his family. He shared the story about how him and his wife made the decision and how they went about it. He told David and Kelli that that was the inspiration for the title of his next album 'Blacktop'.
Niko Moon is so pumped to be performing at Stagecoach. He's taking in all aspects of the festival. Not only is he taking the Mane Stage at 6:15pm tonight, but he's also a part of Guy Fieri's Smokehouse.
When asked what kind of cook he is, he admitted he's not good. Although, he did stay his specialty would be breakfast. He told David and Kelli that he cooks every day on the bus while out on the road.
Kameron Marlowe is gearing up to take the Mane Stage at Stagecoach along side some of his idols. He told David and Kelli that he's bummed he won't be able to see Brooks and Dunn.
For Kameron, his professional life is taking off, but also his personal life is thriving. He recently proposed and told The Wake Up Call that he's enjoying being engaged. He said he was lucky, because his fiance understands his job and doesn't get jealous while he's out on the road.
Hi proposal pictures were gorgeous with the happy couple surround in snow. That's a big difference from the triple digit weather that he's enduring at Stagecoach. He said he'd much rather have the cold over the heat.
Luke Bryan returns to Stagecoach to headline Night #1! He was pretty tight lipped about any special guests, although when we walked into the interview with David and Kelli he was singing Katy Perry's "I Kiss A Girl". He did say there was a good chance Jon Pardi would come back out to join him on stage.
Luke is known for his wide catalog of number one songs and hopefully soon he'll have another one to add to it. He revealed that he has new music coming out next Friday!
Like most big artists, Riley Green has seen his fair share of comments online, both good and bad. He told David and Kelli that it's a "learning curve" on how to deal with haters and added that some people just don't have common sense.
Things took a turn when David couldn't help, but gush over how attractive Riley is. He said that it can become a little invasive when personal information get posted online.
Thanks to Priscilla Block we correctly now how to correctly pronounce the website Shein. She also gave the some insight into her collaboration with the clothing website and how involved she was.
There's no denying that Breland is super talented. He's going to join Shania Twain for her "Queen of Me" Tour and he said that's just one of the many pinch me moments he's had in his career. Another big highlight for him is playing Stagecoach. He played last year and when presented the idea of someday headlining Stagecoach, he thinks he could be done in the next 4 years. Although he may have his eyes set on entering the acting world.
Elle King stopped by to talk with David and Kelli before she takes the stage at Stagecoach. She's busy juggling her successful music career and raising an almost 2 year old son. She shared how she's trying to instill confidence in him, so that he can be comfortable in expressing himself.
Elle also admitting to having a shopping problem, so much so that she has an extra farmhouse of her stage clothes. To offset her shopping addiction, she recently implemented a new habit of getting rid of something, before she can add anything to her closet.
Nate Smith has a lot to celebrate at Stagecoach. His debut album was released today, he's nominated for ACM New Male Vocalist, and his debut single, "Whiskey on You", was a number one hit.
With all the success, Nate Smith told David and Kelli that he's choosing to behave at Stagecoach. He did admit that he has an alter ego named "Jorge" and he's always a good time.
With the temperatures reaching triple digits all 3 days out at Stagecoach, it's important to stay cool. Singer Tiera Kennedy's attempt at staying cool almost cost her a chunk of hair. She chatted with The Wake Up Call about her accident with a fan.
Tiera recently starred in the Dolly Parton's music video for "Peace Like A River", so she gave David and Kelli the dirt on Dolly. Shocker, there's not much, but she did say she's just trying to live like Dolly.

Aside from starstruck moments and private concerts, Dan + Shay took some time to share their excitement for the new music their working on which they’re calling their best work to date.

Thomas Rhett is a busy man.When he’s not writing the next big Country hit or traveling North America on his headlining tour, the “Die A Happy Man” singer is just like any other dad fixing school lunches, reading bedtime stories, and playing dress-up as a father to four young girls.
While Rhett says being a Dad is the “coolest thing in the world,” the 32-year-old recently poked fun at he and wife Lauren’s big family on Instagram writing, "One more kid and we got ourselves a basketball team."
“We’re not pregnant,” Rhett playfully quipped when Audacy’s Rob + Holly asked if he and Lauren were hoping to reach “starting five” status.
“I think when me and Lauren first got married five was the number,” he reflected. “We’re sittin’ at a solid four right now. I don’t know, I think for us, it’s whatever the Lord has got in store.”
Ultimately relying on his faith to determine the final number, Rhett isn’t shy to admit that personally, he’s A-OK with what he’s got. “Personally, selfishly, I’m good,” he said regarding adding more kids to the family. According to Rhett, he’s got his hands full. “They’re pushing boundaries. They’re finally to where they can understand conversation and they’re just like, ‘How far can I push Dad?’ Pretty far!” He laughed.
Lucky for Rhett, he’s in it all with his best friend, wife, Lauren who he shares his absolute adoration for through songs like, “Die A Happy Man,” “Look What God Gave Her” and newest single, “Angels (Don’t Always Have Wings).” Hear it below.

Cole Swindell’slatest single is arguably one of the biggest of his career. A spin off the ’90s classic, “Heads Carolina, Tails California,” by Jo Dee Messina, Cole originally planned to tackle it as a duet with co-writer and fellow Country artist, Thomas Rhett.
While on the road with Rhett’s Center Point Road tour in 2021, Cole and Thomas sought to write a duet they could perform together, but after finding their stride with, “She Had Me At Heads Carolina,” it turned out to be a fit for only one.
“Me and Thomas Rhett talked about this on tour last year, about wanting to do a song together,” Cole told Audacy’s Rob + Holly. “That was the original plan, was for me and Thomas Rhett to sing, whatever this song became, together.”
He continued, “The angle we wrote it in the room, it just didn’t make sense really for both of us and TR is such a great writer anyways, so I’m proud to have him be a part of it.”
Other songwriters on the project included Ashley Gorley and Jesse Frasure, as well as the writers of the original, “Heads Carolina, Tails California,” Tim Nichols and Mark Sanders.
“The first step was to call the original writers, Tim Nichols and Mark D. Sanders,” he said of the songs initial start. “They wrote the original Jo Dee version and we didn’t know what they were going to say.”
He continued, “Turns out hey were honored we chose their song to kind of put a spin on and do our own way, so we wanted them to be involved there.”
Another individual they wanted to be sure to involve was Jo Dee, which they ended up doing through the music video. “We wanted her involved as much as she wanted to be in any of it,” Cole said of Jo Dee. “My first time meeting her was literally on the set of the video shoot,” he laughed.
“To meet somebody you’ve been a fan of your whole life, to meet them on the set of the video for a song you wrote — a spin of her original — it’s mind-blowing. The whole thing, but I think it’s just of those things that was meant to be.”
We couldn’t agree more as the song is sitting at the top of the charts and leading more and more people to explore 90s Country.
“I think there are kids that are literally going back and falling in love with ‘90s Country music,” Cole said. “I feel like I owe that to Country music.”

Kelsea Ballerini is readying to release her fifth studio album, Subject To Change, and anticipation is at an all-time high.
Ahead of the album’s September 23 release, Kelsea sat down with Audacy’s Rob + Holly to chat all about the ‘90s-inspired project, the inspiration behind it and the tea surrounding what’s sure to be the most talked about song.
“It’s such an interesting feeling to put a record out,” Kelsea said of the albums approaching release date. “It’s such a mix of an exhale and also feeling an intense amount of nerves of just, ‘Oh, it’s not mine anymore.’ I hope people like it.”
Inspired by ‘90s Country and some of her biggest idols like, Shania Twain, Faith Hill and Trisha Yearwood, Ballerini says fans can expect her most “upbeat and breezy” album yet. While the sounds may be light and airy, the 29-year-old makes sure to clarify it still has depth.
“With a title like that, I really wanted to dive into the growth of my last couple of years of life,” she said. “It’s the most upbeat, breezy sounding record I’ve ever gotten to put out, or that I’ve ever made, but I think there’s more meat on the bones than ever before too.”
Kelsea continued on to chat about a song she knows will be “talked about” titled, “Doin’ My Best.” While she didn’t give much context to the song's exact topic, she revealed it references Pop star Halsey, and by he sounds of it, some tea is about to be spilled.
“It is not meant to be a shady lyric,“ Kelsea said openly. “It’s the idea of taking ownership of my cringe. I wanted to acknowledge all of the things that people have watched happen in my life and just go, ‘Yup. Here’s the messiness, I’m owning it, I’m doing my best.’”

Spring may have come and gone, but that isn’t stopping Country duo Maddie & Tae from cleaning house!
The duo recently released the music video for their new song, “Spring Cleaning,” which is set to be included on their new, 8-track album, Through The Madness Vol. 2, releasing September 23.
During a recent interview with Audacy’s Rob + Holly, the duo revealed that organization expert, Marie Kondo, served up the original inspiration for the song.
“I was reading that book, The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up [by Marie Kondo], and I was like, ‘How would you do that to a person or and ex, or somebody you don’t want in your life anymore?’” Maddie said of the initial inspiration for the song.
She added, “I had this bizarre idea to Marie Kondo somebody… And we came up with ‘Spring Cleaning’ and it was so fun.”
The track is the latest peek at the duo’s forthcoming album, Through The Madness Vol. 2, which arrives one week after the pair kicks off their headlining CMT Next Women of Country Tour Presents: All Song No Static Tour.
Touring looks different for the duo now since Tae is a Mom, but according to them, it’s been a smooth adjustment for baby Leighton Grace, who arrived months before her due date.
“She has already been on the road with us more than a couple time,” said Tae. “She’s like the most well-traveled baby ever. We’re trying to figure out if she’s broken the record for County fairs — we’ll see. She’s just the most chill baby, she’s very adaptable, which I think how she came into the world plays a lot into it. She’s just here to hang.”
Maddie & Tae’s All Song No Static Tour kicks off September 15 in Oklahoma City and runs through mid-October, wrapping in Grand Rapids, MI on October 15.

Little Big Town is celebrating more than 20 years as a band with the release their 10th studio album, Mr. Sun, available September 16.
Ahead of the album’s release, the band’s Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Philip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook joined Audacy’s Rob + Holly to chat new music and how the four have managed to stick together for over two decades.
“It feels like just yesterday we were driving ourselves around in our own van and loading up our own merch,” Schlapman said, reflecting on the early days of their career. “And then it does feel like forever,” she laughed. “We have a forever story and it’s been twenty-something years long.”
The band has celebrated the release of 27 singles together and they credit “patience, understanding, grace and respect,” for getting them through all the ups and downs.
“We built this whole thing, from the foundation up, with it being about the band,” said Westbrook. “A lot of times… it can be easy for your egos to get in the way.”
Their approach to focus on the quartet as a whole has also proven successful as the group’s earned numerous award nominations including their most recent in the Vocal Group of the Year category for the 2022 CMA Awards.
The always-positive clan is readying to release their 10th studio album, Mr.Sun on September 16 and according to them — it’ll give you all the positive vibes, just as the title suggests.
“[Positivity] was definitely the intention,” said Fairchild. “Especially coming out of Nightfall, the last record, were were holding on to a few songs that didn’t seem to fit that body of work.”
She continued “I think during the pandemic we all needed something to look forward to, you know? So this is the sunnier side of the street!”

Sam Hunt says he’s in the midst of some of the best days of his life being a first-time Dad. While he admits simultaneously balancing fatherhood and a demanding touring schedule is not easy, it’s something he’s getting used to — especially since he dreams of having more kids.
“It’s an experience I’ve always wanted to have — being a father — but now that I’ve had it, it’s definitely a life-changing deal,” he told Audacy’s Katie Neal. “A bucket list deal… I waited a little while, but I’m glad that I became a father. I look forward to having, hopefully, some more.”
Sounds like it could be quite a few more with how much Sam enjoys being a Dad!
“[Fatherhood] has given me such a sense of purpose — at home and out on the road,” the 37-year-old shared. “A new appreciation for life in general. I think I leveled up overnight, evolved 10 or 20 years over night.”
He continued, “I waited until having my first one, but I’m trying to have as many as I can before I age out, before we age out.”
A brand new perspective on life and baby girl aren’t the only new things Sam’s celebrating — he also has a fresh single, “Water Under The Bridge,” along with a lot more new music to come with the release of his third studio album.
“This record, and the songs that I’ve been writing since the pandemic, they’re all sort of from the place,” he said. “From a guy who’s gone out into the world, experienced the world, seen a lot of things, learned a lot of life lessons but has come full circle and made it back home and is really appreciating where he’s from.”
“Water Under The Bridge,” is the first taste of Sam’s third studio album which he says is taking shape.
“I’m recording right now,” he said. “I have the songs sitting there, a couple of them are missing a line or two that I just need to get ironed out. But I’ve recorded like five or six [songs]… it’s coming together.”

The impact Breland has had on Country music before he’s even released his debut album is impressive. Celebrating a #1 as as singer and songwriter, CMA nomination and a number of all-star collaborations, there’s no doubt much more success is to come with his debut project, Cross Country, Available September 9.
"Every song brings a slightly different flavor of Country music and that’s the goal of the project,” Breland said. “Everything is rooted in Country, there are a couple songs that are going to be more straight-down-the-middle, traditional Country right now, but there are also a few songs on here that aren’t really Country at all other than maybe a lyric or that fact that we’re telling a story and I think that’s OK.”
Never one to be shy of pushing boundaries or crossing genre lines, the 27-year-old made blending genres a goal of the project, something he hopes will not be a one-time thing.
“The goal of the project was to try and build a bridge between Country music and everyone else,” he said. “Hopefully those bridges will stand the test of time.”
On top of celebrating his highly anticipated album, Breland is also celebrating his very first CMA Nomination this week in the Musical Event of the Year category for “Beers on Me” feat. Dierks Bentley and HARDY.
“‘Beers on Me’ is one of those songs that’s just kind of the gift that keeps on giving,” he said of the honor. “I’ve experienced so many firsts with that song… for Dierks to have the foresight to open another verse up on the song for me — when he clearly didn’t need to do it — it’s exciting.”
He continued, “He’s believed in me from really early on. Hopefully we can bring the award home, but honestly, the biggest win is being able to do what I love to do with some incredible people.”

If you aren’t already aware of the perfection that is Mitchell Tenpenny, allow us to introduce you. A successful songwriter, amazing artist, avid Pokémon collector and family man… seriously, what’s not to love?
Recently hitting the top of the charts with “At The End Of A Bar,” a collab with Chris Young, Tenpenny is also nearing the top with a solo song, “Truth About You.”
"It’s crazy. I don’t know what’s happening,” Mitchell said of the huge success which has been years in the making for him. “It seems like, weird. This is crazy. I don’t know what’s happening… There’s a massive team that’s doin’ this so I’m very grateful for them.”
It’s only natural for Mitchell to credit the large team working alongside him as his Grandma used to be a member of that team. Mitchell shared that Grandma Tenpenny started as a receptionist and worked her way up to the COO of Sony Music Publishing.
“One of the most powerful women I’ve ever seen and she ran this town, but she was Grandma to me,” Mitchell recalled. “I was just very lucky to grow up with someone like that to watch how she treated people and entered a room. Just everything about her was just Grandmother and I was very lucky to see that for sure.”
Lucky for Tenpenny, that meant growing up around songwriting and being introduced to some of the biggest in the biz at a young age.
“I remember Blake Shelton walking around before he had a song,” he shared. “She introduced me to Brooks & Dunn, Taylor Swift… They’re artists, but they’re also incredible songwriters.”
While he was around the music business from a young age, it wasn’t business for Tenpenny when he went to work with Grandma. However, it was for everyone else, including a young Taylor Swift who Tenpenny recalls meeting and being amazed they’re the same age.
“We were kids and I was just jealous… she had this aura around her — she looked famous from the beginning,” he shared. “I was like, ‘You’re my age,’ but I’m just like, ‘I’m playin’ softball later. What are you doing? Ohhh probably just writing hits and making tons of money!’” he laughed.
Regardless of being a “late bloomer” (compared to Swift) Mitchell has clearly found his own path to success and we love to see it!

Following some time away to focus on songwriting, Randy Houser is back on Country radio and we couldn’t be happier. His return has us reflecting on all the songs we’ve loved from him over the years including the powerful “Like A Cowboy,” which he shared was inspired by his visit to some American Soldiers.
"I forget exactly when I wrote it — it was a couple of years before it came out — but it was the year that Jamey Johnson and I went to Iraq, we went with Kellie Picker to Iraq to play for our troops,” Houser shared on Rob + Holly’s Friday Night Takeover. We got there and we did almost 30 shows in 11 days.. We were completely just wiped out, but there was also this amazing sense of loneliness and homesickness and all those things.”
He continued, “I just remember that feeling and also going ‘Man, I need to burry this s*** really deep because I’m over here with people who haven’t seen home in six months to a year, some of them more.”
The raw emotions inspired Houser as a songwriter upon his return home, prompting him to reflect on the first time he left home. It wasn’t long after that the song, “Like A Cowboy,” was born.
“Coming home, it reminded me of all these kids that are like 18 years old that were there, first time they ever left home was to go there, you know? That song 'Like A Cowboy' kinda came out of that.” He continued, “I remember the first time I left home, I went to go rodeo when I was a young fella.”
Looking back on Houser’s hits from the past only has us more excited for his new single, “Note To Self,” and his forthcoming album which is expected to drop sometime in November.
“This is the first album I’ve recorded at my house, which was fun,” Houser said, clearly enthusiastic about the freedom he felt while creating on his own terms.

It’s been three years since Jon Pardi has released a studio album and that’s all about to change as he readies to debut his next project Mr. Saturday Night on September 2. With 14 songs on the track list, there’s a lot of buzz about what’s to come — especially with track 14 being titled, “Reverse Cowgirl.”
Pardi addressed the elephant on the track list while sitting down with Audacy’s Katie Neal for the Superstar Power Hour. Promising it’s not exactly what people think, but then again — it’s all about interpretation.
“It’s got a funny, humor twist to it, but it’s also really pretty and really romantic in a way,” he said. “When I first heard it [in 2020] I was like, ‘Man, there ain’t no way! There ain’t NO way! [Then], the whole world went through some s***, so I was like, ‘You know what? You want 'Reverse Cowgirl?' You go and record ‘Reverse Cowgirl!’
He continued “The first part of ‘Reverse Cowgirl,’ it’s a sad song! The guy wants his cowgirl to come back. Now, it may have a little twist in there, and it’s for your mind to think about. It’s the best dirty, cleanest thing you can have.”
The title alone has created a lot of anticipation surrounding the track and according to Pardi, his fans aren’t the only ones anxious to hear it… his fellow Country artists are too!
"Jake Owen makes sure he called every three months until he knew I recorded ‘Reverse Cowgirl.’ He’s like, ‘Well, if you don’t want it, you know I want that song!’” Pardi laughed. “Chase Rice, he texts me like, ‘Dude, did you record 'Reverse Cowgirl' yet? I cannot wait!’ I’ve never had a demo for so long and been so anticipated.”
While the title is surely the most eye-catching, fans are excited to hear more than just “Reverse Cowgirl.” With previously released tracks “Last Night Lonely,” the title track and “Longneck Way To Go” feat. Midland already performing well, the project is sure to continue to gain momentum. Pardi shares the track, “Your Heart or Mine,” is already set to be the next single.
“The band already knows that’s going to be the next one to come out,” he shared. “That’s definitely going to be the next single.”

Dylan Scott is the ultimate actor when it comes to pranking his bandmates and filming tiny superhero short-films with his kids, but is there any desire for him to that those skills to the big screen?
"Not filmmaking,” Scott, who recently shot a tiny superhero video of his kids on his smartphone said. “I have thought about acting though! I mean, I could be garbage — I don’t know,” he laughed.
“It may be day one on the set and the director is like ‘Get outta here! You’re garbage.’ But, I think I could do it, I feel like I could do it and I kinda want to.”
While Dylan doesn’t have opportunities lined up at the moment, he continues to get plenty of practice by shooting music videos like the fiery one he just shot for his recent #1 single, “New Truck.”
“The truck you see burning [in the video] is my personal truck that I drove in this morning,” he shared. “It’s in perfect condition, nothing is wrong with it. We found a truck in the junkyard and brought it in and lit it on fire but we set my truck in front of a green screen and with all these fancy edits that these filters and producers can do — it looks like my truck was on fire.”
He continued, “We did try to go in to Ford and try to do some kind of partnership — I drive a Ford — but, they were not impressed that I was burning one of their trucks. I get it now, but Its like, ‘ Oh, I didn’t think about that… it’s not a great look,” he laughed. “I got no endorsements, but I got to set a truck on fire which is pretty cool, so…”
