What's up #VeVeFam! I'm Ryan, the Host of The Drop Podcast and today I dive into the August Community Update recently released by VeVe.
There was major news, my favorite of which is the announcement of Crypto Pay-In coming to the app! I can't explain how important this is to getting new users, especially in the NFT and Web3 space. We've heard from many influencers in the space how important crypto to gems is, and I agree it will transform the future of the app.

VeVe released its official May 2022 community update on Wednesday, June 15.
There are several exciting announcements to discuss:

VeVe is continuing its partnership with AMC and the Lightyear movie, similar to the partnership with Jurassic World: Dominion. David Yu did note these NFTs are not in the same asset class as the premium digital collectibles we get on drops, so do not expect them to be extremely valuable.

VeVe is attending Comic Con San Diego in July and Comic Con New York in October of 2022. They will be making an announcement around a new partnership at one of these events.

The web platform has been rolled out to 15,000 users for beta testing and will be released to the entire community by the end of June.

KYC beta testing will be rolled out to 1,000-2,000 users starting at the end of June. KYC stands for "Know Your Customer" and is a growing protocol for companies selling digital assets to prevent money laundering and other black market behavior.

MTL beta testing will be rolled out to most users who go through the KYC beta and meet the 1,000 gems threshold in their wallet. The cash-out feature will allow community members to initiate payout to fiat and cryptocurrency like Bitcoin, USDT & Ethereum. They will begin with five foundational coins and progress into more as time goes on.
VeVe is 70-80% sure they will hit their deadline of delivering the web platform, KYC & MTL by the end of Q2.
