In this episode we go into detail about the actions you can take to go from Doubting Debby to Confident queen. 1. Know what you really want. Ask yourself the question: What do I REALLY want? You not everyone around you, not your family not your kids, btut what do YOU really want?
Challenge Negative Self-Talk: Self-doubt often stems from negative self-talk and limiting beliefs. Challenge those thoughts by questioning their validity and replacing them with positive affirmations. When negative self-doubt creeps in, consciously reframe your thoughts to focus on your strengths, past successes, and the progress you have made. Remind yourself of your capabilities and the reasons why you started your entrepreneurial journey in the first place.
Surround Yourself with Supportive People: Seek out a strong support system of positive and supportive individuals who believe in you and your abilities. Surrounding yourself with like-minded entrepreneurs, mentors, or friends who uplift and encourage you can make a significant difference in breaking self-doubt. Their belief in you can provide a fresh perspective, valuable feedback, and a boost of confidence when you need it most.
Focus on Past Accomplishments: Take time to reflect on your past accomplishments and milestones. Remember the challenges you have overcome and the successes you have achieved. Remind yourself of the skills, knowledge, and experience you have gained along the way. By recognizing your achievements and acknowledging your growth, you can build confidence and shift your mindset from self-doubt to self-assurance.
Take Action and Embrace Failure as a Learning Opportunity: Often, self-doubt can paralyze us from taking action. Break free from this cycle by taking small, actionable steps towards your goals. Embrace the mindset that failures and setbacks are natural parts of the entrepreneurial journey and opportunities for growth. Learn from your mistakes, adjust your approach, and use each experience as a chance to improve and develop resilience. The more you take action, the more you will build confidence in your abilities.
Remember that breaking self-doubt is an ongoing process. Be patient and kind to yourself as you work on shifting your mindset. Celebrate your progress along the way, and remind yourself that self-doubt does not define your potential for success.

In this episode we discuss five online side hustles that are ideal for mompreneurs. Being a mom is afull-time job by itself, but many moms are looking for ways to earn some extraincome while still being able to take care of their families.
The first side hustle we talk about is Coaching, is an excellent online side hustle for mompreneurs who have a passionfor helping others. I am a coach myself and I help others start their own online coaching business. As a coach, you can offer your expertise in areassuch as business, parenting, health, or wellness. You can either choose to offer one-on-one coaching sessions, group coaching sessions or even sell apre-recorded coaching course. With the right marketing and promotion, you can build a successful coaching business that caters to your interests and fitsaround your family schedule.
The second side hustle is being an online Travel Agent: I’ve worked as an online travel agent myself and if you love to travel this is definitely one for you. With the increasing popularity of online booking platforms, many people still prefer personalized travel planning services so this is where you come in. As a travel agent, you can plan and book trips for clients, earn commission, and work fromhome. With your experience, you can cater to families, couples, or even solo travellerswho are looking for a unique travel experience. You’ll also enjoy the benefitsof getting certified as a travel agent which will help you get different offersand discounts when you book your own trips, and that always nice.
Thirdly we’re discussing being a Virtual Assistant: As a mompreneur, you may alreadyhave excellent organizational and administrative skills. You can leverage theseskills by becoming a virtual assistant. I’ve worked with virtual assistants almost from the beginning of my online business journey and trust me, this is soneeded so it won’t be hard for you to find clients. As a virtual assistant, youcan work with clients from all over the world, providing administrative supportsuch as email management, scheduling, and data entry. Virtual assistants are inhigh demand, and you can set your rates based on your experience and expertise.
Next we discuss being a Tutor: If you have expertise in a particular subject, you can become an online tutor. Many students and parents are looking for online tutoring services for subjects such as math, science, or language. I remember I hired a tutor during lockdown because I just wanted my daughter to get the best help she could get even if I had to pay for it. As an online tutor, you can set your hours and work with students from anywhere in the world. With online tutoring platforms, you can easily connect with students or their parents and offer your servicesat competitive rates.
The final side hustle we talk about is being a Freelance Writer: If you have a passion for writing, becoming a freelance writer can be an excellent onlineside hustle for mompreneurs. Being a writer has become so much easier with the help of AI, I’ve even written a children’s book with the help of AI. With theincreasing demand for online content, there is a high demand for freelance writers who can provide quality content for websites, blogs, and social mediaplatforms. You can also focus on writing E-books and selling those on platforms like Amazon KDP. As a freelance writer, you can write on topics that interestyou, and set your hours and rates based on your experience and expertise.
With the right skills and passion, you can start any of these online side hustles and work towards achieving financial independence whilebeing able to take care of your family.

In this podcast episode, we will discuss some game-changing practical key steps that can help you change your life and start living your future visionnow. We all have dreams and goals that we want to achieve, but sometimes we get stuck and don't know how to make them a reality. By followingthese key steps, you can break free from your limiting beliefs and start taking action towards your desired future.Key step 1: Change Your Language The language you use can have a significant impact on your mindset and behaviour. If you constantly use negative language and focus on whatyou can't do, you'll limit your potential. Instead, try using positive language and focus on what you can do. Use words like "I can," "I will," and "I am capable of." This shift in language can help you change your mindset and start taking action towards your goals.Key step 2: Be Kind to Yourself We all make mistakes, and it's important to be kind to ourselves when we do. If you're constantly beating yourself up over past mistakes or failures, you'll never be able to move forward. Instead, practice self-compassion and forgive yourself for your mistakes. Treat yourself with kindness and respect, and you'll find it easier to take risks and try new things.Key step 3: Ask for Help in Personal and Business life.Asking for help can be challenging, but it's essential if you want to achieve your goals. Whether you need help with personal issues like childcare or help with chores in the home. Speak up and communicate this to your partner if you have one, or reach out to friends and family. Surround yourself with a supportive network of friends, family, and colleagues who can provide you with guidance, feedback, and support. You'll be amazed at how much easier it is to achieve your goals when you have the right people by your side.Key step 4: Change Your Environment. Even without Traveling you can change your environment. Your environment can have a significant impact on your mindset andbehaviour. If you're constantly surrounded by negativity or chaos, it can be challenging to stay motivated and focused on your goals. Instead, try changingyour environment, even if you can't travel. For example, declutter your living space, rearrange your furniture, or create a dedicated workspace. By makingthese small changes, you can create a more positive and productive environment that supports your goals.Key step 5: Don't Work Harder, but Work Smarter. You can work smarter by Creating Passive Income and Focusing on Your Priorities. Instead of trying to do everything at once, focus on your priorities and delegate or automate other tasks. Additionally, consider creating passive income streams that can generate income even when you're not actively working. By working smarter, you'll have more time and energy to focus on the things that truly matter to you. Key step 6: Have a clear visionIt’s important to define your vision clearly. What do you want to achieve? What are your long-term goals? You need to have a clear picture of what you want to accomplish to create a roadmap for getting there. You don't need to know every single step, but at least the next action step, so that you don't stay stagnant. Write down your vision and keep it in a visible place as a reminder of what you're working towards. Bringing your vision to reality requires a combination of mindset, planning, and action. Starting your online business can be daunting and the feeling of being arrogant can creep up even though you're not trying to be.In this episode we go over how you can have a growth mindset, add value, believe in yourself and show up for your audience without being arrogant.1. Focus on the value you can provide: When marketing yourself as a coach, it's important to focus on the value you can offer to potential clients. Instead of just talking about yourself, showcase how you can help your clients achieve their goals. Highlight your experience, expertise, and success stories, but frame them in a way that shows how they can benefit your clients. Talk about the specific results you have helped others achieve and the ways in which you can help your clients overcome their challenges.2. Build relationships and connections: Building strong relationships and connections with potential clients is key to selling yourself as a coach. This means being active on social media, attending relevant events, and engaging in conversations with people in your industry. By building relationships, you can establish the know, like and trust factor, which can lead to new clients. Incorporate these relationship-building strategies into your plan, by optimizing your social media profiles and creating blog content that showcases your expertise and approachability.3. Be authentic: Authenticity is crucial in marketing yourself as a coach. People can usually tell when someone is not being genuine, which can turn them off from working with you. Instead of trying to project a certain image, be true to who you are and what you stand for. Share your personal experiences and values, and be open and honest in your communication with potential clients. This can help build trust and make people more likely to want to work with you. Include authentic language and messaging in your website content, social media posts, and other online communication, to attract clients who resonate with your values.4. Believe in yourself: To become a successful coach, it's crucial to have confidence in yourself and your abilities. By believing in yourself, you can project confidence and credibility to potential clients, making them more likely to choose you over your competitors.5. Embrace your success and your failure and have a growth mindset: Having a growth mindset, which is the belief that your abilities and skills can be developed through hard work and dedication, can help you continually learn and improve as a coach. This can improve your reputation and online presence, making it easier for potential clients to find and choose you.6. Focus on abundance, not scarcity: Adopting an abundance mindset can help you approach your coaching business with a positive and optimistic attitude, which can attract more clients and opportunities. To help you focus on an abundance and growth mindset we close this episode with success affirmations. To download the affirmations click here https://mailchi.mp/roxanablair/successaffirmationsThe affirmations you will hear are a mix of original ones, and affirmations from my previous coaches (source Myron Golden, Sarah Jolley Jarvis, Pam obasa)Download my free e-book "4 steps to online business success" on www.roxanablair.comIf you're ready to get the help you need, book a call with me on calendly.com/theroxanablairPlease don't forget to rate and review the podcast so that more mompreneurs can find the podcast, thank you!

Coaching and community can be incredibly powerful resources for a mompreneur to keep you on track. As a mompreneur, you likely have a lot on your plate, from managing your business to taking care of your family. It can be easy to feel overwhelmed and isolated, but coaching and community can help you stay focused, motivated, and connected.
Coaching can provide you with personalized guidance and support as you navigate the challenges of running a business while also balancing the demands of motherhood. A coach can help you set goals, develop a plan, and stay accountable to yourself. They can also offer insights, perspectives, and strategies that you may not have considered on your own.
Community, on the other hand, can provide you with a sense of belonging and support. Being part of a community of like-minded mompreneurs can help you feel less alone and more understood. Lessons from a Mom of 2: Navigating a New Baby, Job, Family, Business, Imposter Syndrome, and Exhaustion
Welcome to the Mompreneur & More podcast! In this episode I share my experiences as a mom of 2 who had a new baby after 8 years.
We’ll talk about the challenges I faced while juggling a job, family, business, imposter syndrome, and exhaustion. I hope my story will inspire and empower other mothers who may be going through similar experiences.
Balancing a New Baby and Returning to work after whilst your baby still doesn’t sleep through the night, can be challenging, especially after a long maternity leave.
I managed to balance my job responsibilities and caring for my new-born by prioritizing tasks, delegating responsibilities, and setting realistic goals. My advice to other moms and especially mompreneurs is to
communicate with your employer about you needs
establish a support system at work and at home.
establish a routine
prioritize tasks, and outsource when necessary.
In this new phase of motherhood I was also dealing with Imposter Syndrome, especially in my job. I struggled with self-doubt and felt like I didn't belong. However, I overcame imposter syndrome by recognizing my accomplishments, seeking support from my family and my coach, and practicing positive self-talk, affirmations are really my thing.
If you’re struggling with imposter syndrome it’s best to focus on your strengths and achievements and seek help from a mentor or coach and your family/friends.

Perfectionism or procrastinationWelcome to the Mompreneur and More Podcast! In this episode we're going to talk about perfectionism and how it can actually lead to procrastination. As busy moms who are also entrepreneurs, we often feel the pressure to do everything perfectly. But sometimes, that pressure can actually hold us back and prevent us from making progress. In this episode, we'll explore how to recognize perfectionism and ways to overcome it.Understanding Perfectionism Perfectionism is the belief that you or your task must be perfect in order to be successful. It can lead to unrealistic expectations, fear of failure, and procrastination. As a mompreneur, perfectionism can lead to burnout and prevent you from achieving your goals. It's important to recognize when perfectionism is holding you back and to reframe your mindset. The Link Between Perfectionism and Procrastination Perfectionism can often lead to procrastination because the fear of not doing something perfectly can lead to avoidance. This can lead to missed deadlines, unfinished projects, and a lack of progress. It's important to recognize that perfectionism is not necessary for success and that it's okay to make mistakes.Overcoming Perfectionism Start by setting realistic expectations for yourself and your projects. Focus on progress, not perfection. Break down large projects into smaller, more manageable tasks. Celebrate your successes and learn from your mistakes. Remember that perfectionism is not a requirement for success and that it's okay to make mistakes. Conclusion: As mompreneurs, we have a lot on our plates, and perfectionism can add unnecessary stress and pressure. By recognizing the link between perfectionism and procrastination, we can take steps to overcome it and achieve our goals. Your daily habits determine your future. It's not in having the latest new strategy or tactic to reach the level of success you want to achieve, it starts with your daily habits.
What does your day look like, what are you doing right now? You already have habits, whether you know it or not. Start by monitoring your habits.
What time do you normally wake up, what do you do first? Is this how your future self would spend her morning? Or do you need to change anything?
How can you implement those habits that are needed to be your future self now
Write down your goals everyday so that vision is in front of you.
Have the right people in your corner, your network also have an impact on your ability to have and build great habits. First on that is having a coach or mentor who has already accomplished what your striving to achieve.
Read books so that you can grow your mindset into having the right knowledge and skills to keep those success habits up.

Work live balance is a great myth.
The perfect work-life balance sounds so good but no one has the perfect recipe of achieving it.
Thinking it exist will keep you stressed
Trying to balance everything is assuming that everything can be equal and it's NOT. Family, your job or your business are all important but you cannot balance them out to have equal attention and time, it just doesn't work like that
Instead of striving for balance strive for intentionality in everything.
Set priorities and remember Not everything is a priority.
Start thinking as the CEO you are. Don't just react to everything that's thrown at you but plan ahead. Plan your meetings, use time blocking, learn how to say NO so that you can say YES intentionally.

In this episode we go deep into how to attract your Ideal Paying Customer
First, focus on solving 1 problem, you need to be known for 1 thing when you're starting out. When you're just starting your business, people don't know you yet, so don't confuse them but make it clear. Your motto should be "This is the 1 thing I can can help you with!"
Get comfortable being uncomfortable. Selling will feel uncomfortable in the beginning, however, change your mindset when it comes to selling. Get into the habit of providing a service, helping your clients. Most times why we feel uncomfortable is because we have a fear of hearing NO. Just realise that people might say no to your service, this doesn't mean you as a person are not good.
Be confident about your service, offer or product. You have to become your first biggest fan. When you show up confidently, your customers will be more willing to part with their hard earned money. If you're doubting about being able to help your customers, they will definitely doubt about you and they won't be willing to pay you.
Start showing up as an authority, the Go-To-person in your niche. Show up uniquely as you, being yourself is way more valuable than copying the biggest Guru out there in your niche. People want authenticity, they don't need another copy.
Show up in other peoples audiences. You can do a podcast interview, IG or FB live interview or even write a blog or article. The more people see or hear you, the bigger your chances of attracting the right customer.
Not everyone is your customer. Please don't think you can build a sustainable business counting on just your friends and family. You will have to go out there and attract your customer, they are everywhere.

In this episode we discuss procrastination. What is it actually and why are so many highly educated mamas struggling with it?
It has nothing to do with laziness, often we have negative feelings about the task at hand. Procrastination is more about managing your emotions. Emotions regarding stress, low-self esteem, self-doubt or anxiety.
Firstly, one of the best cures against procrastination is taking action. When you take 1 step in the right direction, you’re already going to feel more accomplished.
Stop with constant distraction, just turn your notifications of on your phone. Any distraction we have, is an opening to start procrastinating again so why not protect yourself from it in the first place.
Then, break down a big project into mini task. When you’re ably to tick of a task, you know you’re making progress. If you only have tht one big project in your calendar it will be long before you can celebrate a small win of completing a task. So have a physical notebook or whiteboard where you can actually tick things of and celebrate yourself!
Done is better than perfect and strive for progress is not perfection. A big reason why we keep procrastinating is because we only want a perfect result and we know perfection is nearly impossible to achieve. It’s better to strive for progress, so you won’t hold yourself back.
Lastly, don’t be afraid to make mistakes, stop thinking about what could go wrong and get excited about what could go right. Your next success might be around the corner, but you won’t know until you’re taking action and stop procrastinating.

How, what and where do you start a successful online business as a busy mom if you are multi passionate?
I know how it feels to want to do different things but being multi passionate is holding you back.
To really gain momentum and see success you need to make a choice and move forward with one thing.
What will really help you is having accountability. Working with accountability will keep you on track. An accountability coach will help you avoid to jump on the first distraction or shiny object you see.
You don’t need a BIG announcement, you just need to start!
BE the Brand
Before you are your future you, before you have all the means, connections, expertise and clients, show up as how you would like to be recognised. YOU are your brand.
Multi passionate can be an excuse to not take action. JUST MAKE A CHOICE and start choosing one thing, choosing doesn’t mean you can NEVER work on another passion. Everything has it’s own time
Total focus for at least 66 days will create a habit. Commit to consistency and you will reap the benefits.

In this episode we talk about what limiting beliefs are holding you and your business success back. The subconscious mind determines more than we think, it’s formulated from the age 0-6 and determines 95% of our beliefs. Because these beliefs are so ingrained it’s important you bring them out and get clear that they are even there, so that you can work on living a limitless life. 1. Limiting beliefs about money I’ll never have enough money. What even is “enough” have you looked so far in the future that you can see that it is “never” possible to have enough money. This is not true, this is a limiting belief that has been ingrained in your mind, imagine just writing down how much money you’d actually want money Limiting belief about bring an introvert. Being an introvert does not mean you cannot achieve the success you want to achieve. You don’t have to change your whole character, be be authentic, be you and you’ll find the way to show up for yourself and your business. Limiting belief that you can’t be successful because you don’t have enough time. You just have to prioritise your time. You decide what deserves your time and make sure you let go of what is not a priority. Limiting belief that you are not educated enough to achieve online business success. You’ve probably heard growing up how important education is. And while that is true, the world has changed. You don’t need 10 degrees to achieve success online. You already have more than enough knowledge inside you. Use it!

Crisis, really? How do you handle the “crisis” or “recession” as a mompreneur? There are still businesses that are running and even growing, so why not you? Crisis is a Greek word, it means point of decision During a crisis many millionaires are born. What are you going to decide during this crisis? Every single entrepreneur, every single employee, every single customer decided how much power he or she gives into the actual situation and how their response is. It is easy to LET the storms and waves take our attention of the facts, but it is better to focus on what YOU can influence yourself, focus on YOUR world not THE world. One thing I have and must protect and keep is my FAITH; faith that it WILL work out. The time it takes may not be what I like or hope, but with perseverance and determination I will win and overcome. The fact is things will change and better times will come. So remember, this too shall pass. How can you grow your business during this “crisis” - Show up, be visible and add value to your customers life - Stop watching the news, the world is not getting better because you’re getting inundated with negativity, this will only influence your mind in a negative way - Simplify your business so you can easily train someone to take over tasks that you don’t NEED to do and you can focus on generating more revenue - Invest in the right systems and people - Become good at making decisions, success loves speed so don't get stuck in indecision - Build your brand, become known for your unique offer so that you’re protecting yourself from competitors - Invest in yourself, you have to have multiple streams of income, what skill can you get better at, so that you can make more income. - Please rate and review the Mompreneur & More podcast and share it with someone who could benefit. Are you worth it?
Are you worth Investing in yourself?
Running a sustainable business doesn’t work if you’re trying to do everything for free. It sounds very popular to say “Start your business for FREE and make 10K a month!” I can say that but it’s just not realistic, so be careful spending your money with someone who promises you that.
Before you start to invest think about what is essential.
It’s easy to start investing anywhere and everywhere, but that’s the biggest road to wasting your money, and one of the goals is to MAKE money, not waste it.
So be intentional, look at your goals, what do you want to achieve and who can help you achieve that in the most efficient way.

In this episode we go into detail about money mindset. Growing your money mindset starts on the inside. How do you feel when you talk about money, do you even like talking about money? Do you always talk about scarcity and lack and limit yourself because of money. Or do you talk about abundance and prosperity and see opportunities everywhere. What money stories are you telling yourself? Most of us have a money story because of the way we grew up, maybe your parents didn’t have a lot of money and they always spoke about money or spending in a negative way. Whether you realise it or not, this impacts the way you think about money currently, and the more you are aware of it, the more you'll be able to actively change any negative money stories. The best way to start growing your money mindset is to start with internal work like financial affirmations. Next is doing work externally, be visible for your customers so that they can pay you. Be open about money goals so that you have clarity on where you are and where you want to go financially, this is for personal as well as business money goals. In this episode we talk about the importance of confidence as a new mompreneur, we discuss the difference between arrogance and confidence and finally we discuss how to grow your confidence.
Confidence: it comes from within, knowing your values, knowing your goals, knowing what you believe in, knowing what you want in life, liking yourself.
Confidence is also knowing that you’re good at what you do, you like others, you easily share credit with others, listen to other people’s opinions, assertive and not scared to recognise own mistakes
Arrogance is compensating for lack, having an attitude of superiority, saying you’re the best, but there’s nothing to back it up
Arrogant people really are insecure about themselves, they blame everything that goes wrong on others easily, make condescending remarks, they’re often too critical, they’re pushy, loud, unhappy inside, have low self-esteem, are very demanding and dismissive to others
Tips on how to increase your confidence
Talk to yourself differently, talk to yourself as a confident person not as shy/timid
Stop thinking the world has an opinion about you, people think about themselves more than about others
Get used to do doing uncomfortable things
Take action! If you don’t take action, you’ll never know how good you could be
Have fun! Enjoy your journey, don’t stress about everything.
Take care of yourself, act as if you’re going somewhere, get dressed so that you will feel like your “going” to your business.
Stay committed! The more you commit and execute the more your confidence will grow
Borrow some confidence from someone else like a coach. When you’re just starting out, you need someone who’s already done what you want to do, so that you can believe in them and therefore believe in what they believe, YOU, your skills and your capabilities.

What is important when choosing which online business to start, because we all know the opportunities are so many that it can be hard to chooose.
First of make a list of everything you’re good at and you like to do. Out of that list, filter down what you wouldn’t mind doing if people kept asking you about it, now you’re going in the right direction
Now choose 1 subject to focus on and that will be your business. If you’re like most mompreneurs, you’re probably multi passionate, that’s ok, however just focus on 1 thing to build a business with in the beginning
Remember that whatever you choose, it needs to fit your lifestyle and characteristics, introvert or extraverted for example or how busy you are as a mom, what time you can commit to your business, etc.
What's also important is to acknowledge your talents and skills. We often don’t appreciate things we do without any effort, however, something that might be easy to you, might take someone a lot of effort and they wouldn’t mind paying to get things done.
And finally, you can ask your friends and family via a 3-5 question questionnaire what they think you’re good at, you’ll be surprised with some of the answers.

In this episode we talk about all things social media. What do you have to focus on to be able to run your business online?
Start with communicating to your audience, what do they want, what are they struggling with. This way you'll find out more about what to post.
Choose one platform when you're just starting out. The more platforms you have, the more you'll have to update, the higher the risk of overwhelm.
Batch create content, so that you won't have to think of what to post each day. Create enough content so that you have enough to post for a minimum of a week, a month is even better.
Be visible, don't hide from your audience. If people don't know that you exist and that you have something to sell you'll never be able to make money. Show up!
Be confident, you can grow you're confidence. Even if you don't see yourself as confident, just know that you can grow your confidence, it's like a muscle the more you train it, the better it will be.
Be authentic, the more authentic you can be, the more people will start to be attracted to you and recognize what you do. There's enough fakeness in the world of social media, be you, be unique.
Release perfectionism. You're content doesn't need to be perfect before it's posted out to the world. If you're trying to hold on to perfectionism, you'll never post. Just start with something.

In this episode we go into the principal of Be-Do-Have. A principal that was brought to the coaching industry decades ago by Steven Covey through his book the 7 Habits of Highly effective people. A book that I read ages ago. Be- Who do you authentically need to become to reach your goals Do- What do you need to do Have - what do you want to have, what goal do you want to achieve This was brought to my attention again during a business challenge that I followed earlier today this year, but now through the lens of the Bible. I know the principal but knowing and doing are 2 different things. That’s why in this episode I discus what I discovered during my holidays. Sometimes you have to take a hard look at yourself, your live and your business to discover if you’re really living the live you want to live. And a change of environment did that for me. I hope you enjoy this episode and go to work within your own life and business.

Episode 8 Mom guilt In this episode we talk about Mom Guilt. What is it, how does it affect us and what can we do about it? There are plenty of reasons mom guilt can arise in any stage of motherhood. You can feel guilty because; - you feel like you’re not spending enough time with your kids - you raised your voice to your kids - you feel like you don’t know what you’re doing - you didn’t breastfeed or didn’t breastfeed long enough - you just want to rest on that one day off instead of bringing them to a farm, playdate or ballet or soccer practise - you need to have another zoom call with a client The list can go on and on The consequences of feeling guilty can have a major impact on us personally and in our business. Because of mom guilt you can start to develop feelings of low self-esteem, doubt, unhappiness or shame. You might feel that you’re never good enough and all these negative feelings can seep through to how you treat your business. Because of mom guilt you can start being less visible on social media, you can stop booking appointments with potential clients because you think you’re already spending too much time “away” from your kids. So what can you do to release Mom Guilt? First of realise and recognise you have it and realise you’re not alone in it. Spend your time with them fully, no distraction, no phones, no social media You can find some extra time by talking or singing with them during the schoolrun, in the car etcetera. Reflect on why you raised your voice, what was the trigger, when you know this, you can do your best to avoid this next time STOP comparing yourself to other moms, we are all just trying to do our best. If you’re following a seemingly perfect mom on social media that triggers your mom guilt feelings, STOP following them or just mute them for a while. And remember, social media only shows the highlights of life. There is no training or how to be a good mother and side hustler we’re all different and our kids are all different so accept that. When you decide to release that mom guilt, you’ll start to see the positive side of motherhood and your side hustle. You’ll be more confident, and show up more unapologetically for your business. You’ll start to put yourself first instead of everyone else you’ll see other thriving mothers as an inspiration and not a threat. Corporate mom, side hustling mom, single mom or stay at home mom for your kids YOU are the perfect mom!
In this episode we discuss how you can reach your goals all the time.
1) Make them SMART
S stands for Specific, M is for measurable, A stands for attainable, R stands for result driven and the T stands for Timebound
2)Get accountability
Take the first step, is it email somebody, make a post, or whatever suits you best
3) Break them down into bitesize pieces
Get clear on WHAT you need to do to achieve it, if you don’t know and don’t break it down, then you’re probably overanalysing. You might need to set up social media, you might need to start networking, you need to create you offer, write a book research how to write or self publish,
4) Know you’re why don’t just copy
Know WHY you want to achieve the goal, get clear on you WHY and
Get clear on what you want; my goal is to go full time into coaching
get clear on what scares you and focus on solutions
5) Have a process in place
Get a routine, start with YOU, who do you need to become to achieve the goals
Have a DMO, a daily method of operation, use time management tools from previous episode
Small steps repeated bring achievement
6) Keep it simple
it's important that your goal is simple so that you're not getting frustrated because all your steps towards your goal are to overwhelming.
7) Review regularly,
It's important to review your goals regularly so that you know you're going into the right direction and you can readjust if need be.
8) Take action!
You won’t see the whole journey but just take the first step it's important to take action!
How to find your purpose
Get to know yourself
Ask yourself, what are you passionate about?
You can take a personality test, there are plenty available online
Meditate, you can use various forms of meditation, breathwork, listening to meditation audio
Journal, journal about your life, things that go well and about things that don’t go as expected
Do a brain dump of all the things you enjoy doing
Take some alone time, shut all social media, television etc. off and just sit with yourself
Trust your intuition
Our intuition is continuously talking to us, but we just don’t hear it because of all the outside noise
Pay close attention to the still voice inside you, usually this is already a map to our purpose
Trust your intuition, it is there to lead us, but we have to trust ourselves enough to follow it
Examine your life
What do you do with your time
Where and when do you get the most joy out of life
Go back to your childhood
Children are the most ruthful human beings. When we’re a child we haven’t been trained yet to “behave” a certain way society wants us to behave. We’re not scared of all the things, so there’s not much holding us back.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
What kind of child were you?
What games did you like to play?
Remember, you might have more than one purpose. Start to play with different ideas, you don’t have to do everything at ones, but don’t hold yourself back trying to only do the one perfect thing
In this episode we discuss Imposter Syndrome
Imposter Syndrome is seen as the state of doubting your ability to be successful and to feel inauthentic, deceptive, and not worthy of the role you hold.
Initially society thought that Imposter Syndrome only happened with women, but now it is clear that it's an issue across gender, ethnic, and age groups.
Valerie Young introduced five different types of imposter syndrome in her book "The Secret Thoughts of Successful Women: Why Capable People Suffer from Impostor Syndrome and How to Thrive in Spite of It."
Understanding your type can help you work on the negatives and embrace the positives in a productive way and you’ll get suggestions of what you could do to turn this into a superpower.
The types are:
- The expert: highly educated, not knowing is seen as failure. Embrace your education for the rich and rewarding asset that it is. Not only have you acquired an abundance of knowledge, but your quest for knowledge makes you an expert in absorbing new information and issues to analyse, and problem solve.
Remember not knowing something is not a failure, see it as an opportunity to learn new things.
- The soloist: you get confidence from your productivity and see asking for help as a weakness.
Embrace your ability to be able to get stuff done! Not only can this make you an excellent part of a team, but it means you have great skills you could teach others. Remember asking for help is a sign of weakness
- The Natural Genius: you will find yourself setting big goals and then feel crushed when you fail on the first try. You judge your competence on the ease and speed of obtaining your goals. If you are in this category – you are naturally talented. This is a great advantage whether you get it perfect the first time or not. Get confidence from the natural abilities you can utilize and be excited about all the skills that you can add.
Remember that not being able to master a skill immediately does not make you a failure. See it as an opportunity for learning.
- The Superhero: you focus on the number of things you can juggle and achieve at once. You feel like a failure when you can’t handle everything in your life easily and perfectly. You push yourself as hard as possible because deep down, you feel you may be inadequate.
Learn to go easy on yourself, you don’t have to be able to achieve it all. No one should expect you to. Just select the right priorities.

Build your own confidence, because you are training yourself to show up for yourself, your brain will start to see this as something save, our brain likes safety

Your mindset is all about how you think about things in your life. This can be your mindset about your business, your capabilities, your body, your money and so much more.
