Where is your hiding place?

In Psalm 16, David talks about seeking safety and refuge in God. Refuge means a hiding place or a place of safety in moments of distress. Over this past couple of weeks, I have been challenged to look at the places I run to for safety. Sometimes I run to comfort, other times cycles, and most times to isolation but rarely to God. Despite my deep desire to know God, I have a default setting of running to what I am used to due to rooted feelings of shame, fear, and condemnation. In today's episode, we will look at the importance of why, where, and how to navigate the hiding place, so we begin to take steps to live in peace, joy, and freedom as God intended <3

Is God telling me to do something? Is what is stopping me from performing my anxiety or conviction? Am I worried because I am comparing myself to others or because I feel incapable right now? God, are you hearing me? How do I know my conviction is real? How do I know I am ready for this?

These are just some questions we find ourselves asking in the midst of uncertainty or starting something new. Join me in today's episode inspired by Romans 8 as we look into identifying feelings of anxiety versus personal conviction.

Other verses mentioned in the podcast:

John 16:8, 13-14; Exodus 31:3-11; Matthew 6:31-33, 8:26; Luke 17:5; Romans 8; 2 Timothy 3:16, 1:7; Psalm 23:2-3; Proverbs 3:7-8, 11:14, 12:18, 16:24; 1 Corinthains 12:8; Galatians 6:2; 1 Peter 5:7; Isaiah 26:3; John 14:27
