Summer has a way of stretching routines, filling calendars, and leaving many moms wondering how they're going to keep everyone happy for the next few months.
If you've ever felt pressure to plan the perfect summer, keep your kids entertained every day, or constantly compare your family to what you see online, you're not alone.
In this episode of Legacy Life with the Lacefields, Megan sits down with her daughter-in-law, Savannah, for a conversation about creating a simple summer routine for kids that leaves room for both adventure and rest.
Savannah shares how their family starts every summer by creating a bucket list together, choosing meaningful experiences that their children are excited about instead of trying to fill every day with expensive activities. She also explains why community has become one of the biggest parts of their family's rhythm, from library programs and playdates to local parks, Vacation Bible School, and simple afternoons spent with friends.
The conversation also explores the value of home days, where laundry gets folded, imaginations run wild, and children learn that meaningful memories don't always require elaborate plans. Megan and Savannah reflect on creating family traditions, unplugging from distractions, embracing slower moments, and making the most of the few summers we have before our children grow up.
If you're looking for summer activities for kids, practical encouragement as a stay-at-home mom, or simple ways to build stronger family rhythms, this episode will remind you that the moments your children remember most are often the ones where they simply felt loved, seen, and fully present with you.

Grandparenting is one of life's greatest gifts.
It also comes with questions many people never expect to ask. How do you stay close when your grandkids live far away? How do you support your adult children without overstepping? What does it look like to leave a spiritual legacy that reaches the next generation?
In this episode of Legacy Life with the Lacefields, Megan welcomes her longtime friend Amy Larvin for an honest conversation about intentional Christian grandparenting and the everyday choices that build strong family relationships.
Amy shares her journey of becoming a grandmother to four grandchildren, including two who live across the country. Through FaceTime calls, meaningful traditions, and simply showing up whenever she can, she offers practical wisdom for grandparents who want to stay deeply connected, even from a distance.
Together, Megan and Amy also talk about navigating blended families, honoring your adult children's parenting decisions, creating lasting memories with grandchildren, and embracing the unique role grandparents play in strengthening families through faith, encouragement, and unconditional love.
Whether you're enjoying weekly visits with your grandkids or counting down the days until your next FaceTime call, this conversation is a reminder that legacy is built through presence, consistency, and the small moments that children remember for years to come.

Have you ever reached the end of the day feeling exhausted, even though you spent it doing good things?
Many of us fill our calendars, carry heavy responsibilities, and keep moving from one commitment to the next. Somewhere along the way, it's easy to wonder if this is really the life Jesus was talking about when He promised life to the full in John 10:10.
In this solo episode, Chad shares what God placed on his heart during a morning Bible study on abundant life. As he dug deeper into Scripture, one question continued to surface:
What does it actually mean to live the abundant life Jesus promised?
Throughout this conversation, Chad explores how God's presence shapes every part of our lives. He reflects on the importance of abiding in Christ, finding peace during difficult seasons, discovering purpose through daily obedience, and building simple rhythms that keep our hearts connected to God long after our quiet time ends.
You'll also hear practical encouragement for anyone who wants to grow spiritually but feels stretched thin by work, family, responsibilities, or the pace of everyday life. Rather than adding another item to your to-do list, Chad shares habits that help create space for God's voice and remind us that spiritual growth happens through faithful, consistent steps.
Whether you're searching for how to grow closer to God, wondering what the Bible says about abundant life, or looking for practical ways to strengthen your daily walk with Christ, this episode will encourage you to slow down, stay connected to Jesus, and allow His life to overflow into every relationship, conversation, and decision.

How many opportunities have we missed because staying comfortable felt safer than trusting God?
In this episode of Legacy Life with the Lacefields, Chad and Megan unpack one of the biggest obstacles to living the life God has called you to live: playing it safe.
Comfort can feel secure, but it often keeps us from experiencing the purpose, growth, and freedom waiting on the other side of obedience.
Through personal stories, biblical encouragement, and practical wisdom, Chad and Megan share why every meaningful step of faith comes with uncertainty, and why waiting until you feel completely confident may keep you from ever moving forward.
From launching businesses and making difficult family decisions to trusting God with finances, leadership, and life's unexpected transitions, this conversation is an invitation to stop allowing fear to determine your future.
Because throughout Scripture, God rarely revealed the entire plan.
He simply asked people to trust Him with the next step.
If you've been wrestling with a decision, waiting for perfect timing, or wondering if you're ready, this episode is the encouragement you need to stop waiting and start walking in faith.

Let’s keep building strong marriages, leading with purpose, and living what matters most—together.
Marriage is not built by accident.
It’s built in everyday moments, everyday choices, and the decision to keep choosing each other over and over again.
In this episode of Legacy Life with the Lacefields, Chad and Megan have an honest conversation about how to stay strong in marriage, navigate difficult seasons together, resolve conflict in healthy ways, and continue building a relationship that grows over time.
Because every marriage will face:
• stress
• conflict
• miscommunication
• busy seasons
• emotional highs and lows
• and moments where it feels easier to disconnect than reconnect
But healthy marriages are not built by avoiding hard things.
They’re built by continuing to show up for each other anyway.
Throughout this episode, Chad and Megan share practical lessons from over 30 years of marriage, parenting, business, leadership, and life together.
They unpack:
• why becoming the right person matters more than finding the right person
• how vacations and shared experiences create meaningful memories
• why presence matters more than perfection
• how unresolved conflict quietly damages connection
• and why couples need shared dreams and vision to keep moving forward together
Because strong marriages don’t just survive.
They continue growing.
In This Episode, You’ll Learn
• How to stay connected during hard seasons in marriage
• Why healthy conflict resolution matters
• The importance of emotional presence in relationships
• How shared dreams strengthen marriages
• Why showing up consistently builds trust and connection
• How to become a better spouse over time
• Why intentional memories matter in family life
• How prayer and communication strengthen relationships

Let’s keep building strong marriages, leading with purpose, and living what matters most—together.
Most couples say they want a stronger marriage, better finances, healthier communication, more freedom, and a more intentional life.
But very few couples actually stop to ask:
👉 What are we building together?
👉 What habits are helping us get there?
👉 And what habits are quietly keeping us stuck?
In this episode of Legacy Life with the Lacefields, Chad and Megan have a practical and deeply honest conversation about how to build a strong marriage with shared goals, intentional habits, discipline, and a unified vision for your future.
Inspired by the quote:
“You can’t have million-dollar dreams with minimum-wage habits.”
This episode explores the connection between:
• marriage and mindset
• dreams and discipline
• vision and sacrifice
• and how everyday habits shape your future together
Because strong marriages don’t happen accidentally.
And neither do strong families, healthy finances, meaningful goals, or lasting legacy.
Chad and Megan also unpack how easy it is for couples to live reactively instead of intentionally, constantly surviving day to day without ever slowing down long enough to dream together, communicate clearly, or create a plan for the life they actually want.
This conversation covers everything from:
• financial habits
• grocery spending
• emotional discipline
• clutter and overwhelm
• sacrifice and intentionality
• shared goals in marriage
• and learning how to stop settling for “survival mode” relationships
Because your habits are always building something.
The question is:
👉 Are they building the future you actually want?

Fear has a way of showing up right when you feel like you’re finally making progress.
In this episode of Legacy Life with the Lacefields, Chad and Megan talk honestly about what it means to choose faith over fear, trust God in uncertain seasons, and keep running your race even when life doesn’t go according to plan.
After months of training for a half marathon in Alaska, Chad suddenly found himself facing unexpected health struggles, severe headaches, uncertainty, and an MRI that brought back fear and anxiety from past experiences.
And in the middle of all of it, God reminded him of something simple but powerful:
👉 Breathe in Jesus.
👉 Breathe out, “I trust You, Lord.”
This episode dives into the reality that fear is something every person faces, whether it’s connected to health, marriage, parenting, finances, leadership, business, or the unknowns of life.
But fear was never meant to lead us.
Faith was.
Together, Chad and Megan unpack:
• why fear tries to freeze us
• how faith is built through consistent training
• why preparation matters spiritually and emotionally
• how God strengthens us before the hard moments arrive
• and what it looks like to trust the Guide even when you can’t fully see the path ahead
Because life is not about running someone else’s race.
It’s about faithfully running your own.

Most of us don’t realize how exhausted we are until the weight becomes too heavy to carry.
In this solo episode of Legacy Life with the Lacefields, Megan shares an honest and vulnerable conversation about why asking for help is not weakness, how pride disguises itself as independence, and why healing often begins when we stop trying to carry everything alone.
So many people live trapped in a constant cycle:
Try harder.
Push through.
Figure it out alone.
Repeat.
But eventually, that cycle creates overwhelm, emotional exhaustion, anxiety, and isolation.
Megan opens up personally about areas of her life where she has struggled for years, including clutter, laundry, overwhelm, and the pressure of feeling like she needed to handle everything herself.
And through those experiences, she shares a powerful truth:
Sometimes the breakthrough isn’t found in trying harder.
Sometimes it’s found in finally asking for help.
This episode dives into:
• why community matters
• how isolation keeps people stuck
• the difference between having needs and being needy
• why vulnerability creates connection
• and how God often uses people as part of His provision, healing, and support
Because the truth is:
You were never created to do life alone.

In the middle of busy schedules, anxiety, pressure, and overwhelming seasons, many of us don’t need more noise.
We need space to hear God again.
In this episode of Legacy Life with the Lacefields, Megan is joined by her friend Sarah Delgado for a deeply honest conversation about hearing God in quiet seasons, navigating life transitions, and intentionally creating space to reconnect with Jesus.
Sarah shares about taking her very first solo trip to the beach during a major season of transition and how stepping away from everyday responsibilities gave her the opportunity to pause, reflect, process, and reset spiritually.
Together, Megan and Sarah unpack the importance of slowing down long enough to recognize what God is doing beneath the surface, especially in seasons filled with anxiety, uncertainty, unanswered questions, and change.
They also talk about:
• how comparison and fear can quietly steal peace
• why solitude with God is different than isolation
• how reflection builds confidence for future seasons
• why intentional rest matters spiritually and emotionally
• and how God often speaks most clearly when we finally get still
This conversation is especially powerful for anyone walking through:
• a life transition
• burnout or overwhelm
• leadership pressure
• spiritual exhaustion
• waiting seasons
• or uncertainty about what’s next
Because sometimes the reset you need isn’t another strategy.
It’s space to breathe, reflect, and let God remind you who He is.

Most marriages don’t fall apart overnight.
They drift apart slowly.
In this solo episode of Legacy Life with the Lacefields, Megan shares 3 small shifts that can help you reconnect emotionally, strengthen communication, and stay connected in your marriage during busy seasons of life.
Because disconnection rarely comes from one catastrophic moment.
It usually comes from postponed conversations, distractions, packed schedules, exhaustion, and unintentionally neglecting the relationship while trying to manage everything else.
Megan talks honestly about how easy it is to become task managers instead of teammates and why intentional connection has to be prioritized before distance becomes normal.
She also shares practical ways to reconnect through:
• intentional conversations
• thoughtful daily habits
• emotional presence
• weekly check-ins
• and small moments that strengthen connection over time
Because strong marriages are not built only in big milestone moments.
They’re built in the quiet, repeated moments of choosing each other again and again.

In a world full of distractions, fear, pressure, and noise, how do you actually stay grounded in your faith?
In this episode of Legacy Life with the Lacefields, Chad and Megan share practical wisdom on how to put God first, walk with integrity, and lead by example in everyday life.
After Chad recently spoke at a men’s conference, this conversation naturally evolved into a deeper discussion about what it means to live as a man or woman of God in today’s world, not just through words, but through everyday choices, habits, and actions.

It’s something you live.
This episode explores how seeking God first impacts your marriage, your family, your leadership, your mindset, and the legacy you’re building every single day.
Chad and Megan also talk about the importance of creating intentional rhythms with God, building a daily plan around faith, and living with integrity even when no one else is watching.

Marriage isn’t about moving perfectly.
It’s about continuing to move in the same direction.
In this episode of Legacy Life with the Lacefields, Chad and Megan celebrate 31 years of marriage by sharing the biggest lessons they’ve learned about staying connected, building unity, and continuing to grow together through every season of life.
They use the powerful analogy of a rowboat to explain what marriage really looks like. When one person rows and the other stops, the relationship starts moving in circles. When couples row against each other, frustration and disconnection grow. But when both people intentionally move in the same direction, the marriage begins to gain momentum, rhythm, and purpose.
This episode dives into the reality that strong marriages are not built by accident. They are built through intentional communication, shared vision, spiritual alignment, and the willingness to keep choosing each other even when life gets hard.
Chad and Megan also open up about the different seasons they’ve walked through over the last 31 years, including stress, parenting, business pressures, emotional disconnection, and learning how to communicate honestly without giving up on each other.
Because the goal of marriage is not perfection.
It’s unity.
In This Episode, You’ll Learn
• How to stay united in marriage during stressful seasons
• Why communication is one of the most important parts of marriage
• How shared vision strengthens your relationship
• What causes couples to drift apart emotionally and spiritually
• Why rhythms and routines matter in marriage
• How to reconnect when you feel disconnected
• The importance of praying together and dreaming together
• Practical ways to strengthen emotional connection in marriage
Key Takeaways
• Strong marriages require intentionality
• Unity doesn’t mean perfect, it means purposeful
• Couples drift when they stop dreaming together
• Communication creates connection
• Healthy rhythms help marriages stay aligned
• You don’t have to be perfect to move forward together

Let’s keep building strong marriages, leading with purpose, and living what matters most—together.
If you’ve ever felt like you and your spouse are under pressure and somehow ending up on opposite sides instead of standing together, this episode is for you.
In this episode of Legacy Life with the Lacefields, Chad and Megan talk about what it really looks like to stay connected in marriage during stressful seasons and why so many couples unintentionally begin fighting each other instead of fighting for each other.
Because the truth is, stress is inevitable.
The weight of work, raising kids, responsibilities, expectations, and everyday life can slowly create tension in a relationship. And when that pressure builds, it can either bring you closer together or quietly push you apart.
Most of the time, disconnection doesn’t come from one big moment.
It comes from small, unaddressed things, like exhaustion, miscommunication, distractions, and unspoken expectations.
That’s where many couples get stuck.
Instead of recognizing the real problem, they begin to see each other as the problem.
But you’re not the enemy.
You’re on the same team.
This episode walks through how to shift that perspective and begin approaching your marriage with unity again. Chad and Megan share how to identify the real source of tension, name what’s actually going on beneath the surface, and create space for honest, intentional conversations that bring you back into alignment.
They also introduce a simple but powerful practice they use in their own marriage, a weekly “team huddle.” This is a dedicated time to check in, talk through schedules, acknowledge pressure points, and support each other intentionally so that stress doesn’t turn into distance.
Because strong marriages aren’t the ones without pressure.
They’re the ones that learn how to stay soft toward each other, even in the middle of it.
This episode is a reminder that connection doesn’t require a perfect season.
It requires intentionality.
And sometimes, the most powerful shift you can make is choosing to pause, refocus, and take one step back toward each other.

Staying close to God in a busy world requires intentional choices.
In this episode of Legacy Life with the Lacefields, Megan shares a powerful reminder about the importance of seeking God first through worship, prayer, and stillness. She reflects on her personal spiritual rhythms and how returning to God’s presence has helped her stay grounded in seasons of busyness, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions.
worship, pray, stay
The truth is that God never moves. He remains faithful and present. But as believers, we can easily become distracted by responsibilities, stress, and the constant noise of everyday life.
Megan reminds listeners that spiritual alignment begins when we intentionally make space for God.
She shares how three simple practices have been helping her stay connected to the Lord:
Worship – Turning your heart and attention toward God, whether through music, silence, or gratitude.
Prayer – Talking honestly with God about what’s happening in your heart and life.
Stillness – Creating quiet space to hear God’s voice and allow His presence to bring clarity and peace.
This episode also explores how believers can:
• Hear God’s voice in a noisy world
• Seek God’s presence in everyday moments
• Move toward God even in emotional or difficult seasons
• Take the next faithful step in their spiritual journey
• Stay spiritually grounded during busy seasons of life
Megan reminds listeners that spiritual growth doesn’t require knowing the entire path ahead. Often, God simply lights the next step as we choose to seek Him first.

Strong families don’t happen by accident.
They are led intentionally.
In this episode of Legacy Life with the Lacefields, Chad and Megan explore what the Bible teaches about leadership in the home through the lens of Titus 1, unpacking how husbands can lead their families with faith, character, and responsibility.
Titus-Leadership
Many men feel pressure to lead perfectly, but biblical leadership is not about control or dominance. It is about responsibility, spiritual guidance, and setting the tone for the home.
Chad explains that every household has a leader, whether that leadership is intentional or not. When husbands step into their role with humility and purpose, they create stability, safety, and direction for their families.
Drawing from the Apostle Paul’s guidance to Titus, this episode highlights key qualities of godly leadership, including self-control, discipline, humility, and spiritual integrity.
Chad and Megan also discuss:
• Why the husband sets the emotional temperature of the home
• The connection between leadership and family culture
• How character builds the foundation for a family legacy
• Why presence matters more than perfection
• How husbands can lead spiritually even if they feel unqualified
• The importance of protecting your marriage and family priorities
• Simple ways to begin leading spiritually today
Megan shares how a husband’s leadership creates emotional safety inside the home and allows the entire family to flourish.
Together, they remind listeners that leadership is not about having all the answers. It is about going first, initiating faith, and building a culture where love, respect, and spiritual growth thrive.

How do you stay close to God when life gets busy?
In this episode of Legacy Life with the Lacefields, Chad and Megan address one of the most common struggles for Christian couples and families: maintaining spiritual growth during stressful and busy seasons of life
When routines are predictable, faith feels easier. But when travel, work pressure, parenting, and unexpected disruptions hit, spiritual disciplines often weaken. This episode explores how to stay spiritually strong when your faith rhythm feels off.
They discuss:
Chad shares how anchor scriptures and intentional prayer keep him spiritually grounded during travel and heavy workloads. Megan explains why shrinking expectations but not priority helps prevent guilt and spiritual discouragement.
They emphasize that faith is not confined to a quiet time chair. Your relationship with God is portable. You can pray while walking, worship in the car, journal in a hotel room, or send scripture through text messages to stay spiritually connected.
This episode also highlights:
If you want to grow spiritually without guilt, maintain faith during stressful seasons, and build strong spiritual rhythms in marriage and family life, this episode will give you practical direction.

Shame often hides in the roles we care about most — marriage and motherhood.
In this powerful conversation on Legacy Life with the Lacefields, Megan interviews Christian author Shayla Huber about healing shame in marriage and motherhood and discovering your true identity in Christ
Room recording - Feb 4, 2026
.
Raised in church but carrying unresolved trauma, Shayla describes what she calls being an “orphan Christian” — believing in God but not fully receiving His love. That internal shame followed her into marriage, where self-criticism and insecurity shaped communication, and into motherhood, where overstimulation and perfectionism created frustration and guilt.
Through mentorship, inner healing, and a renewed understanding of God’s love, Shayla experienced radical transformation. She went from striving for approval to resting in her identity as a daughter of God.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
Healing shame begins when you stop asking, “What’s wrong with me?” and start believing, “I belong.”
You are not called to perform for God’s love.
You are called to receive it.
When you live from identity instead of insecurity, your marriage softens, your parenting steadies, and your legacy shifts.

Faith grows in the small, consistent moments.
In this week’s episode of Legacy Life with the Lacefields, Chad and Megan continue their Advance series by focusing on one foundational truth: if your faith isn’t advancing, everything else eventually slows down.
Many believers want to grow spiritually but struggle with consistency. The problem usually isn’t desire. It’s structure. Spiritual growth requires intentional habits that keep God’s Word in front of you and obedience active in your life.
In this conversation, Chad and Megan share how they build faith into daily rhythms in practical ways, including:
They emphasize that faith isn’t fragile. One hard day doesn’t undo your growth. Obedience still moves you forward. The more consistently you turn to God, the more natural it becomes to keep turning to Him.
Spiritual discipline is not about pressure or perfection. It’s about alignment. Daily faith habits compound over time and create a stronger relationship with God, deeper peace, clearer leadership, and greater impact in your marriage and family.
If you want to grow in faith daily, prevent spiritual drift, and build habits that truly matter, this episode offers both encouragement and direction.

Spiritual drifting doesn’t happen all at once.
It happens quietly, slowly, and often without us realizing it.
In this week’s episode of Legacy Life with the Lacefields, Chad and Megan kick off the year by addressing one of the most common struggles in the Christian life: losing spiritual momentum without meaning to. Life gets busy, responsibilities pile up, and before we know it, our faith feels distant, inconsistent, or stalled.
This episode centers on the idea of advancing spiritually instead of drifting, especially in the New Year. Chad and Megan remind listeners that faith isn’t passive. You don’t accidentally grow closer to God. Spiritual growth requires intention, alignment, and obedience, even when the steps feel small.
Using Philippians 3:13–14, they explore the movement language of faith, forgetting what’s behind, pressing forward, and focusing on what God is calling us toward next. They talk about why faith must come before focusing on family, health, leadership, or goals, because when faith stalls, everything else eventually feels heavier.
This conversation is especially for those who:
Rather than encouraging listeners to overhaul their lives, Chad and Megan emphasize small, obedient steps, daily and weekly rhythms, and choosing alignment over pressure. Growth doesn’t happen overnight. It happens one faithful step at a time.
This episode sets the foundation for the year ahead and invites listeners into a different pace, one rooted in intention, obedience, and trust in God’s direction.

You don’t drift into a strong family.
You build one on purpose.
In this week’s episode of Legacy Life with the Lacefields, Chad and Megan continue their Advance series by focusing on the second pillar that shapes legacy: family. They speak honestly about how easy it is to be advancing at work while slowly drifting at home, and why winning professionally while losing relationally is never a true win
Chad and Megan share their story of becoming parents young, choosing to fight for family despite broken backgrounds, and learning over time that alignment, not good intentions, keeps a family moving in the right direction. They explain why faith is the foundation, but family is often the first place pressure, distraction, and misalignment show up.
This episode challenges the idea that families fail because of bad intentions. Instead, Chad and Megan point out that most families struggle because there is no clear direction, no shared vision, and no intentional rhythms holding things together.
They unpack the powerful truth that presence matters more than perfection, especially in parenting and marriage. Kids don’t need packed schedules or more stuff, they need connection. Spouses don’t need grand gestures, they need intentional time and honest communication.
Using Joshua 24:15, they emphasize that strong families are led, not managed. Leadership at home doesn’t mean control or micromanagement, it means clarity, consistency, and choosing your family first, even when work, schedules, and responsibilities compete for attention.
Chad and Megan also share practical rhythms they’ve built over the years, including weekly calendar check-ins, intentional date nights, prayer walks, and simple habits that protect margin and connection. They remind listeners that if you don’t lead your family intentionally, something else will, whether it’s work, phones, sports, or busyness.
This episode is both a wake-up call and an encouragement. You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to be present, willing, and intentional.

A new year doesn’t require a new you — it requires a clearer direction.
In this foundational episode of Legacy Life with the Lacefields, Chad and Megan share the word God placed on their hearts for 2026: Advance. Not rushed growth. Not burnout-driven hustle. But forward movement rooted in faith, alignment, and intention.
This episode is an invitation to pause, reflect, and reframe how you approach the year ahead. Instead of chasing resolutions that fade, Chad and Megan introduce a simple but powerful framework that helps guide decisions, priorities, and daily rhythms throughout the year.
They unpack how choosing a word becomes a filter for decision-making, a posture for everyday life, and a way to stay aligned with what matters most — especially in seasons that feel busy, overwhelming, or unclear.
At the heart of this episode are four foundational pillars that shape their family, leadership, and legacy:
The Four Pillars of Advancement
Faith – Building everything on a deep, anchored relationship with God
Family – Being intentional with marriage, children, and grandchildren
Fitness – Stewarding physical, mental, and emotional health for longevity and impact
Focus – Living with clarity in work, calling, and stewardship
Rather than chasing perfection, this episode emphasizes progress, self-awareness, and sustainable growth. Chad and Megan share real-life examples from their marriage, parenting, grandparenting, and careers, showing how alignment leads to peace, clarity, and momentum.
You’ll also hear practical encouragement for listeners who feel behind, overwhelmed, or stuck. This episode reminds you that growth doesn’t happen overnight — and that even choosing one pillar to focus on can begin meaningful change.
This is not just an episode — it’s the starting line of a year-long conversation about living anchored, intentional, and aligned with God’s direction.

Every season of life is shaping you into someone — but the real question is: Who are you becoming?
In this week’s conversation on Legacy Life with the Lacefields, Chad and Megan explore identity, calling, and spiritual growth through the life of Peter, one of Scripture’s boldest and most imperfect disciples.
What began as a quiet time reflection turned into a powerful discussion about how God forms our identity long before we feel qualified. Peter wasn’t polished. He wasn’t predictable. He wasn’t perfect. But he was willing — and that willingness shaped his calling, leadership, and legacy.
Chad shares the moment he realized his own personality mirrors Peter’s: bold, passionate, unfiltered, and deeply committed to learning as he goes. Together, he and Megan unpack what Peter teaches all of us about becoming who God designed us to be, even in seasons of doubt, stretching, or refining.
This episode encourages listeners to stop striving for perfection and instead focus on becoming — becoming faithful, becoming teachable, becoming courageous, and becoming the person God can build a legacy through.
You’ll hear:
Scriptures Shared
Matthew 14:29 — Peter walks on the water
Luke 22:32 — Strengthen your brothers
John 21:17 — Feed my sheep
1 Peter 5:2–3 — Shepherd the flock under your care

Marriage was never meant to be a one-time “I do.” It’s a daily pursuit—a commitment to keep growing in love, faith, and purpose together. In this heartfelt episode of Legacy Life with the Lacefields, Chad and Megan Lacefield open up about what it looks like to pursue God and each other with intentionality, even when life feels busy or disconnected.
Through real stories, Biblical truth, and practical encouragement, they remind us that the pursuit of marriage never stops—it deepens. Drawing from Scripture and thirty years of marriage, the Lacefields share how to strengthen your relationship, rebuild connection, and live out the vows that started it all.
This episode is for couples, engaged partners, and anyone longing to build a marriage that’s not just strong—but Christ-centered, purpose-driven, and anchored in legacy.
You’ll hear:
Scriptures shared:
Matthew 6:33 — Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.
James 4:8 — Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.
Joshua 24:15 — As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
Romans 12:10 — Outdo one another in showing honor.
Philippians 3:12–14 — I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.

Life isn’t easy — but every hard season has purpose. In this episode of Legacy Life with the Lacefields, Megan Lacefield shares how God uses the refining fire of life’s challenges to shape our faith and strengthen our character.
Drawing wisdom from the story of Job and her own personal journey, Megan offers honest encouragement for anyone navigating transition, uncertainty, or change. She reminds listeners that pain doesn’t mean God has left — it often means He’s preparing you for something greater.
Through moments of reflection, worship, and surrender, this episode will help you see how faith grows in the middle of the fire — and how God uses testing to bring forth gold.
You’ll hear:
Scriptures shared:
Job 23:10 — When He has tested me, I will come forth as gold.
Romans 12:2 — Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Psalm 139:23–24 — Search me, God, and know my heart.
Isaiah 48:10 — I have refined you, though not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction.
John 15:5 — Remain in Me, and I in you.
Legacy Takeaway:
Refinement isn’t punishment — it’s preparation. God uses fire to form faith, pain to build purpose, and testing to bring out the gold in us. The refining process is where true strength, wisdom, and legacy are born.
Conversation Starter:
Ask yourself: Where might God be refining me right now? What would it look like to trust Him in the middle of my hard season?

this debut episode of Live Your Legacy Life, Chad and Megan Lacefield share what it really looks like to navigate seasons of transition with faith and obedience. After Chad stepped away from a 31-year career in the building materials industry, they found themselves in an unfamiliar but deeply transformative season of slowing down, letting go, and rediscovering rhythms that align with God’s calling.
They reflect on the shift from their former podcast, Built for Two, which focused on Christian marriage, into Live Your Legacy Life—a broader conversation about faith, family, leadership, health, and legacy. Through candid storytelling, Chad and Megan talk about relearning each other after decades of busyness, redefining success beyond career milestones, and choosing presence over pressure in their marriage and family life.
You’ll walk away encouraged and challenged to:
Seek God’s voice when navigating change and uncertainty.
Reevaluate your rhythms at home, in marriage, and in leadership.
Understand why legacy isn’t something you leave behind—it’s something you live out daily.
Ask yourself powerful questions like: What do I need to release? What rhythms align with my values? How can I be more intentional with my time, health, and family?
Whether you’re navigating a career shift, redefining success, or simply longing for more presence in your marriage and family, this episode will give you practical wisdom and spiritual encouragement to take the next step toward living your legacy today.

Wife goals
We Love your man for who he is so he believes he can be the man you need.
Invest in your marriage now. When the kids are grown+gone it’s just you two.
Prioritize your personal health and growth. This affects more than just you.
Pursue your man inside the bedroom. When he feels pursued he will fight for your heart everywhere else.
Submit one to another. Mutual submission is a learned behavior.
Practice loving them in their love language instead of always expecting them to love you in yours.

Physical Growth
Being in a place of activity can free up your mind. Build relationships through exercise.
Pray before a workout. Center yourself with God first.
Emotional Health can come from Physical Health. When you work out and spend quiet time with God, you’ve accomplished something at the start of your day.
The output and capacity that you have is directly impacted by what you eat, what you consume through social media, and who you engage with throughout the day.
Everyday that you stay committed, you gain more and more confidence.
Guard your perception of health. With social media, magazines, and tv, we can fall into the trap of setting a standard that is unrealistic.
Three step plan for Physical Growth
Romans 12:1
“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.”
What pleases God pleases your spouse

Worth The Work - Relational Growth
Relationships require to do a little extra
Play the “Question Game”
Relationships will only go as deep as you let them go. It requires making room to grow, and pressing in.
Spiritual growth is framed by relational growth.
Make sure that your relationship is in alignment.
Love Languages:
Take the test and learn your partner’s Love Language
Monitor your partner’s body language and facial expressions to check in on them emotionally
Ways to lean into your relationships
Be intentional, show your partner you love them in the way they need to be loved. If the intention or motivation is off, your partner can sense that.

Spiritual Growth
Evaluate where you are, and where your deficiencies are.
Often times, when we get off with our partner, it’s because we are off in our spiritual life
You must have God in the center
Things We Often Put In The Place Of God:
When He is not in his rightful place, we have the opportunity to put him back.
Hebrews 12:1: Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us
For growth, you have to be active. God doesn’t want you on the sidelines
Take moments of repentance. Be honest with yourself, God, and others.
Share your moments with the Lord with your spouse
Grow in your personal time with God, The Word, and Prayer:
To grow with God, you have to put in the time.
Start where you are. Bring him what is on your heart.
Part of the Spiritual Growth Process is leaning into others. Begin to encourage people.
Encouragement is speaking courage into someone or something. Speak courage into yourself, as well as the situation you are in.
Commit to your local church. Lean into a group of people who are invested in the same thing as you. There are people there who love you, and who need to be loved by you.
Invest in your community. Figure out how you're going to invest in your people.
Seek to be held accountable. Be in a position where you are teachable and coachable.
