Campfire's second season investigates tactics for building cities. Each week, host Jackson Steger is joined by experts and practitioners from different startup cities and network states, who share the frameworks and lessons they have learned from experimenting with radical new models of living. New episodes every Wednesday.
Previously, the first season of Campfire explored how Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs) achieve wildly ambitious and creative goals. Our first 12 episodes feature different DAO leaders and operators that joined the show to help explain the tips, tricks, and tactics of different online communities.

Cabin recently launched its own Neighborhood Accelerator, a 10-week program that helps people build a sense of community in their neighborhoods. She is joined by Shani Graham and Bethany Crystal, two engaged program graduates, who shared their lessons completing the curriculum.

Priya Rose, co-founder of Fractal, discusses the origins and growth of the co-living community in Brooklyn. Fractal started as a casual co-living arrangement among friends and has now expanded to 36 people living across multiple apartments and neighborhoods, with a broader community of 400 others floating around the ecosystem. Priya shares how weekly dinner parties and subleasing helped foster a sense of community and attract new members. She also discusses the challenges and strategies of finding and matching roommates. Priya envisions future iterations of Fractal, including expanding to other cities and creating a village with its own system of governance. She and Jackson also both emphasize the importance of incremental progress towards building a utopian community.

The CCC in San Diego was an experimental co-living cohort organizer designed for those who wanted to build, co-create, and live vulnerably with other passionate people.
After starving for social interaction for a year, four Venture for America alums decided to host an experimental in person gathering of creatives and entrepreneurs in San Diego. They devised coronavirus protocols, organized teams to manage household tasks, and worked together to create art. Over the course of 5 weeks the Co-Creation Castle cohort members managed to start companies and forge life-long friendships.
